Quick Installation Guide (QIG)
Model: IP656 Series
Thank you for purchasing IP Phone IP 656 Series. It is cost effective, affordable
and high quality IP Phone for SOHO, SME and enterprise use.
IP Phone IP656 Series has Built-in speakerphone, as well as Dot Matrix LCD
Display to display call information. There are 8 Programmable function keys to
define function. IP Phone supports features such as redial, call transfer , call
waiting,3 parties conference call ,call forwarding, call hold etc. IP Phone can be
setup by user friendly Web GUI or using LCD and Keypad.

If any of these are missing, please contact local store where you purchased the
device .For latest QIG and firmware, please visit our website to download.
Hardware Installation:
Connect IP Phone and Handset with supplied Handset Cord.
Attach Stand.
Connect LAN port of IP Phone to LAN port of your PC or Notebook.
Connect WAN port of IP Phone to ADSL/Cable Modem/Internet.

Plug in power adapter and power on the device. If you using PoE IP Phone,
connect it with PoE power source using RJ45 cable.
Hereby is Login Information (Using LAN):
Default IP Address: 192.168.22.1
Default Login Name: voip
Default Login Password: 1234
WAN IP Address: (Please see how to see WAN IP in page 3, in Web GUI Setup)

IP Phone IP656 Series
After the IP Phone is connected to power, it automatically starts booting.
IP Phone can be setup as:
(a) Using Web GUI
(b) Using LCD and Keypad
I. Web GUI Setup
Login Web GUI
After your computer obtains IP address from IP Phone (using DHCP), please
open your IE Browser and type Default IP address 192.168.22.1 in address bar.
Enter Default Login Name and Password.
How to find WAN IP of IP Phone?
Press Menu
Scroll Down to Tools using Down Key and Press
Select Network Status and Press
WAN IP address can be seen here.

1. WAN ( IPV4)

Device supports remote management using internet. Click WAN Menu button
in Web GUI. Fill required value for Static IP or PPPoE and Click Modify to save
change.
Click IPV6 for IPV6 WAN Setting
2. Register Server
Click Register Server#1 and fill SIP Profile.
Enable SIP Proxy and Mode Register. (Default )
Port 5060 (This port number you will get from ITSP.) (Default )
Type SIP Proxy URL or IP Address.( This you will get from ITSP).
Type Number, Account and Password (This you will get from ITSP).
Click Modify to save change.
3. Phone Configure
Phone Setting
Handset Speaker, Hands-free Speaker, Mic Volume, Ring Melody including
Key Tone can be setup here. Ring and Hold Melody can be selected.

Tone Setting
Parameters for Tone Setting can be modifed here.
4. CALL OUT SETTING
(i) Simple Way
For simple and easy call setting, just type rs in call out setting page on
Destination field. It means you are using any Register Server for outbound
call. Leave all other fields blank. Type rs1 for Register Server #1 for out
bound call. IP Phone supports up to 4 Register Server.
(ii) Calling by Routing Table Pattern
User can create own dialing plan to call ..If you calling Allwin 8512 3390 in
Taipei, Taiwan ( If ITSP provides service ).
Type rs in Destination (Typing rs means you are using any register
server for calling out. Type rs1 for Register Server #1 for out bound
call.).
Type 886 2 85123390 in Prefix (Full Taiwan number with Country
Code and Area Code ).

Give any number as dial no to call Allwin in Area Code field. E.g. you
typed 601.Type 3 in Area code, Min Digit, Max Digit and Strip( 601
has 3 digits).
Click Modify to save change.
Just dialing 601 you can call to Allwin.
Area Code: Define the Prefix number fit this rule, any phone number prefix digits
matched with the rule will call out by this rule define.
Min Digits: define the minimum digits wait for user press for number fit this rule, if user
press digits less the number defined here. It will keep waiting for input until exceed the
FirstDigitTime defined time.
Max Digits: Define the maximum digits wait for user press for number fit
this rule.
Destination: Define the destination IP for call out number fit this rule.
Prefix: The numbers will be added on the prefix of the user press number.
Profile: Define the optional special call out parameters on this destination.
Phone Book,
User can add Contact Name and Phone number or VoIP number. Contact will
be displayed in LCD Screen of Phone.
Call Forwarding
In this page you can Setup call forwarding. Select Enable and Type alternative
number. Click Modify to save..

Programmable Function Key
There are 8 Programmable Function Keys. Type value as defined function.
Click Modify to save.
Music for Ring Melody, Hold Melody can be uploaded in Sound File
Upload page.
Upload wave format must be CCITT u-Law,8000 Hz, 8 Bit, Total size must below 1.9M
and File length Max Limit is 190K)

5. Date and Time
Date and Time for IP Phone can be Setup under System-Date and Time.
6. System
In System button, user can create and change Admin and User password and
account .LCD login password for configure also can be modified here.
Default Configure Password: 84957816
LINE STATUS
One can see outbound call and inbound calls info of IP Phone. Just go to GUI
Page Home> Line Status. Calling Name, Caller ID, dialed number and duration
can be seen here.
SAVE MODIFICATION
Click Save Modification button to save all change.
System will ask you to save SAVE MODIFICATION. Please Click to save.
II. Using LCD and Keypad
Using LCD and Keypad IP Phone be setup.
(a) Phone Book
In Phone Book user can add new contact, delete and edit contact and call.

Select Contact using Up and Down Keys and Press
