Garanzia Limited Warranty
Se siete in possesso di un originale VAN-3000 allora beneficiate di una
garanzia soggetta ai termini e condizioni descritte in questo manuale. Per
qualificare la garanzia dovete completare la registrazione allegata ed inviarla
per posta ad Altrad Italia entro 30 gg. dall’acquisto così che possa essere
registrato. La garanzia Altrad Italia riguarda la riparazione e sostituzione di
ogni particolare che possa essere difettoso per manifattura o materiale per un
periodo di un (1) anno dalla data di acquisto del proprietario originale. Durante
il primo anno, Altrad Italia provvederà al cambio di qualsiasi parte necessaria a
correggere il malfunzionamento, senza alcuna spesa. Questa garanzia si estende
solo sull’acquirente di origine che possa dimostrare la proprietà del Ventilatore.
Questa garanzia non è trasferibile a nessun conseguente acquirente o
utilizzatore.
La garanzia ha valore solo su riparazione e sostituzione ritenuta difettosa dalla
Altrad Italia. La garanzia decade e non ha effetto se il pezzo o l’intero articolo
non vengono riconsegnati per visione ad Altrad Italia, o suo rivenditore
autorizzato, in porto franco del mittente, unitamente ad una lettera descrivente il
problema.
Questa garanzia è limitata a novanta (90) gg. di lavoro effettivo del prodotto a
partire dalla data di acquisto. Dopo tale periodo, ogni costo di lavorazione
occorso sarà a carico del cliente al costo della paga oraria base.
Questa garanzia non si estende per i prodotti che sono stati usati
impropriamente o non assemblati, alterati o non propriamente mantenuti. La
garanzia non ha valenza se il prodotto è stato soggetto a materiali chimici
corrosivi, voltaggio inadeguato, riparazioni non autorizzate, fuoco, acqua e
qualsiasi altra causa non attestata da Altrad Italia.
Questa garanzia non ha valenza se il numero di matricola è stato rimosso,
cancellato o corretto.
Altrad Italia si riserva il diritto di fare cambiamenti al VAF-3000 per ciò che
concerne disegni, materiale o specifiche se necessario e senza nessun preavviso.
Altrad Italia non è obbligata a cambiare o modificare i prodotti esistenti sul
mercato precedentemente prodotti.
Per ottenere i pezzi di ricambio in garanzia , si deve scrivere ad Altrad Italia o
chiamare il [phone] per ricevere un numero di autorizzazione
L’invio dei ricambi non avverrà fin quando l’utilizzatore non avrà inviato il
numero di matricola e ricevuto il numero di autorizzazione

If you are the original new VAF-300, then you are entitled to a limited
warranty subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. To qualify for the
limited warranty you must complete the enclosed registration card and mail it
to Altrad Italia 30 days of the purchase so that there is a record of your
purchase. Altrad Italia limited warranty is for the replacement or repair of any
part that proves to be defective in workmanship or materials for a period of one
(1) year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. During the first
year, Altrad Italia will provide all parts necessary to correct any defects, free of
charge. This limited worranty extends only to the original purchaser who
retains ownership of the Fan. This limited warranty is not transferable to any
subsequent purchaser or second-d user.
The limited warranty extends only to the reapir or replacement of parts found
upon Altrad Italia’s examinationto be defective. Unless any part or assembled
unit replaced hereunder is returned, freight pre-paid, together with a letter
describing the problem to Altrad Italia or an authorized Altrad Italia’s dealer,
this limited warranty will be void and of no effect.
This warranty is limited to ninety(90) days for labor from the date of purchase.
Thereafter, any labor costs incurred will be charged to the customer at the
prevailing hourly rate.
This limited warranty shall not extend to a product that has been used in an
improper manner, or that has been disassembled, altered or improperly
maintained. Nor shallthis limited warranty apply if the Fan has been subjected
to corrosive chemicals, improper voltage, unauthorized repairs, fire, flood,
abnormal wear or any causes beyond Altrad’Italia’s control.
This limited warranty does not apply if the serial number has been removed,
obliterated or deaced.
Altrad’s Italia reserves the right to make changes to the VAF-3000 in design,
materials or specifications as necessary and without prior notice.
Altrad Italia shall not be obliged to make alterations or modifictions to existing
products previousl manufactured.
To obtain replacement parts pursuant to this limited warranty, you must write
to Altrad Ktalia or call [phone] to receive an authorization number.
Replacement parts will not be provided unless the customer first provides the
serial number of the Fan anf also receives an authorization number from Altrad
Italia.
OTHER THAN THE FOREGOING LIMITED WARRANTY, THER EARE
NO FURTHER WARRANTIES OR ANY AFFIRMATIONS OF FACT OR
PROMISES BY ALTRAD ITALIA WITH RESPECT TO THE VAF-3000.
THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO
TE TERMSOF THE ABOVE LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO
NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY
MAY LAST, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING.
ALTRAD ITALIA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY INFRINGEMENT OR
ANY AFFIRMATIONS OF FACT OR QUALITY NOT EXPRESSLY
CONTAINED HEREIN. ALTRAD ITALIAAND ITS AFFILIATED

qualità e performance. Leggendo questo Manuale d’Istruzioni Vi aiuterà ad
ottenere i massimi benefici dal vostro ventilatore portatile. Se non dovessi
capire qualsiasi parte di questo Manuale, preghiamo contattare l’Altrad Italia o
suo rivenditore autorizzato, per una appropriata assistenza prima di lavorare con
questo ventilatore.
Non permettere a nessuno di operare senza prima aver letto il Manuale
dell’Operatore ed aver preso familiarità con le varie funzioni del VAF-3000.
Altrad Italia ha provveduto a mettere a disposizione il miglior equipaggiamento
disponibile all’afflusso di aria per i ventilatori portatili. Esiste, comunque, la
possibilità che il VAF-3000 possa essere sottoposto ad applicazioni non
considerate dalla Altrad Italia.
L’errata applicazione e/o l’errato uso del VAF-3000 può condurre alla
possibilità di seri danni, incidenti o anche morte.

Reading this Owner’s Manual will help you to achieve the maximum benefit
from your portable air ventilator. If you do not understand any option of this
Manual, please cantact Altrad Italia, or your authorized Altrad Italia dealer for
proper assistance prior to operating this fan.
Do not allow anyone to operate the VAF-3000 wihtout first reading the
Operator’s Manual and becoming familiar with its operation. Altrad Italia has
endeavored to provide you with the finest equipment available for providing air
for portable ventilation purposes. The possibility does exist, however, that the
VAF-3000 can be subjected to applications not intended by Altrad Italia.
Misuse and/or misapplication of the VAF-3000 con lead to the possibility
of serious damage, injury or even death.
Anyone operating the VAF-3000 should refer to current CEE job safety and
health rules and regulations pertaining to the construction industry.

PREPARAZIONE
1) Comprendere bene le operazioni d effettuare con VAF-3000 prima
dell’utilizzo. Leggere attentamente le istruzioni in questo manuale. Adeguarsi
completamente alle complete normative e regole relative alla sicurezza e salute
sul lavoro.
2) Assicurarsi che il VAF-3000 sia originale, con el configurazioni dell’Altrad
Italia e non modificato in alcun modo.
3) I minorenni non devono operare con il VAF-3000. Porre attenzione, durante
l’utilizzo, che il VAF-3000 non sia accessibile a bambini e animali.
4) Sollevare il VAF-3000 usando un corretto uso dei muscoli delle gambe, onde
evitare danni alla schiena.
5) Assicurarsi, anche visivamente, che ogni parte del VAF-3000 sia in ottime
condizioni prima dell’utilizzo.
6) Assicurarsi di conoscere come fermare velocemente il VAF-3000 in stato di
emergenza. Premere l’interruttore, posizionato su un lato del ventilatore, su
OFF per spengerlo. Staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente.
INFORMAZIONI GENERALI DI SICUREZZA
1) Mai mettere il VAF-3000 appoggiato sull’acqua.
2) Mai permettere alla griglia interna dell’aria di ostruirsi.
3) Mai versare o usare kerosene o solventi infiammabili nella griglia interna
dell’aria.
4) Non usare il VAF-3000 in ambienti infiammabili o in presenza di gas,
vapori, fibre e liquidi combustibili o esplosivi.
5) Mai inserire oggetti nella griglia interna dell’aria.
6) Mai avviare il VAF-3000 sotto la pioggia e mai riporlo all’esterno.
7) Non usare il VAF-3000 come un giocattolo.
8) Usare il VAF-3000 ponendolo su una base appropriata.
9) Disconnettere il VAF-3000 dalla presa di corrente dopo l’uso.
10) Non usare il VAF-3000 con cavi o spine danneggiati. Non usare il cavo
impropriamente come tirarlo per staccare la spina, chiuderlo in una porta,
maneggiare il cavo con le mani bagnate ecc.
11) Tenere lontano parti del corpo come capelli, dita, vestiti dalla griglia interna
dell’aria.
12) Non permettere all’acqua di entrare nel motore. Se dovesse succedere per
qualsiasi motivo, staccare la spina del VAF-3000 dalla presa di corrente e
asciugare accuratamente prima di utilizzarlo nuovamente.
13) Non rimuovere la terra dal cavo o la spina di alimentazione. La rimozione di
questa stessa farà decadere la garanzia.
14) Se il VAF-3000 è stato bagnato o lasciato fuori alle intemperie, ispezionarlo
accuratamente prima dell’uso. Se il VAF-300 non dovesse funzionare o se ci
fosse qualche interrogativo sul suo funzionamento, non azionarlo. Contattare un
Centro Servizi Autorizzato Altrad Italia o chiamare direttamente la ditta al
+0039 (0)2 45712223.

EXPLOSIVE OR FLAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE. OPERATION OF
THE FAN IN AN EXPLOSIVE OR FLAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE
MAY RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR
EVEN DEATH. INCORRECT USE OF THE FAN CAN RESULT IN AN
ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND/OR ELECTROCUTION. ALWAYS OPERATE
THE FAN IN COMPLIANCE WITH CURRENT OSHA AND NATIONAL
ELECTRIC CODE REGULATIONS.

INCORRECT USE OF THE FAN CAN RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE,
PERSONAL IJURY OR EVEN DEATH. TO REDUCE THIS RISK, GIVE
COMPLETE AND UNDIVIDED ATTENTION TO THE JOB AT HAND. AN
ENVIROMENT ATMOSPHERE CONSTANTLY CHANGES. THEREFORE,
IT’S RECOMMENDED THAT AIR MONITORING /GAS DETECTION
QUIPMENT BE USED FREQUENTLY. IF TESTS SHOW THAT THE
ATMOSPHERE QUALIFIES AS A HAZARDOUS LOCATION (AN AREA
WHERE THE POSSIBILITY OF EXPLOSION AND FIRE IS CREATED BY
THE PRESENCE OF COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS, FLAMMABLE GASES,
VAPORS, DUST, FIBERS, FLAMES OR FILINGS)
DO NOT USE THIS FAN. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE
FOLLOWING PREPARATION ITEMS AND GENARAL SAFETY
INFORMATION.
PREPARATION
1) Become familiar with Fan operations before utilizing this Fan. Read and
understand all Cautions and Warnings in this Manual. Refer to current OSHA
pubblications for complete job safety and health rules and regulations.
2) Confirm that the Fan is in its original, factory configuration and has not been
modified in any manner.
3) Minors should not be allowed to operate the Fan. Close attention is
necessary when used, especially whne used near children or animals.
4) Guard against the possibility of back-related injuries. Always lift the Fan
with leg muscles and not with the back.
5) Periodically inspect the Fan visually for damaged or worn parts. Check for
loose and/or broken parts. Be sure that the Fan and accessories are in good
working condition before operating.
6) Know how to stop the Fan quickly in an emergency. Turn unit off at (on/off)
switch located side of unit or unplug Fan from power supply.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
1) Never place the Fan in standing water because of extreme shock hazard.
2) Never allow air intake grill to become blocked
3) Never discharge flammable solvents or kerosene based chemicals through
the Fan air intake grill.
4) Do not use the Fan in areas where flammable or combustible liquids,
gases, vapors, dust, fibers, or flings may be present.
5) Never put any object in the air intake grill.
6) Never run the Fan outside when it is raining. Never store the Fan outdoors.
7) Do not use the Fan as a toy.
8) Use the Fan only with a properly grounded outlet.
9) Unplug the Fan from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
10) Do not use the fan with a damage cord or plug. Do not pull or carry the Fan
by its cord, do not use cord as a handle, do not close a door on the cord, and do
not pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep cord away from heated
surfaces. Do not unplug the Fan by pulling on cord, grasp the plug and not the
cord. Do not handle the plug or cord with wet hands.
11) Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from the
air intake grill.
12) Do not allow water inside the motor. If the motor becomes wet for any
reason, unplug the Fan and throughly dry it before using again.
13) Never remove the ground from the power cord or plug, as this may result in
electricla shock or electrocution. Removing the ground would void the
warranty.
14) If the Fan has been dropped, left outdoors, or dropped into water, etc...,
please throughly inspect it prior to use. If the Fan is not working or if you have
a question about its safe operation, do not operate it. Contact an Altrad Italia
Authorized Service Center, or Factory direct at +0039 (0)2 45712223.
WARNING: to reduce the risk of fire or
electric shock, do not use this fan with any
solid state speed control device.

MESSA IN OPERA
1) Il Vs. nuovo VAF-3000 è fornito completamente assemblato e pronto all’uso.
Controllare accuratamente dopo averlo tolto dall’imballaggio.
2) Prima dell’uso del VAF-3000, leggere attentamente le informazioni di
precauzione e sicurezza generale.
3) Assicurarsi che il proprio luogo di lavoro non sia da considerarsi a rischio
grazie all’atmosfera che può contenere gas, vapori o polveri esplosive.
PERICOLO
IL MOTORE ELTTRICO ED IL TELAIO DEL VENTILATORE NON
SONO ADATTI AD ESSERE USATI IN ATMOSPERE INFIAMMABILI
O ESPLOSIVE. L’USO DI QUESTO VENTILATORE IN SUDETTE
ATMOSFERE PUO’ RISULTARE ALTAMENTE DANNOSO O
MORTALE.
4) Assicurarsi di avere una appropriata presa d’aria.
5) Prima di collegare il VAF-3000, controllare le griglie e rimuovere i detriti.
Non azionare mai il VAF-3000 senza aver assicurato appropriatamente le
griglie. Non sostituire le griglie con altre non originali.
6) Fare attenzione all’indicatore del flusso d’aria relativo alla protezione
esterna. LA direzione giusta è descritta nel disegno sotto.
7) Posizionare il VAF-3000 assicurandosi che non abbia movimenti anomali
durante il suo uso.
8) Non posizionarsi direttamente di fronte al VAF-3000. Detriti presenti
nell’area possono essere causa di lesioni dovute alla loro espulsione.
9) Attaccare i Tubi di prolunga, solo a ventilatore spento, assicurandoli agli
appositi adattatori.
10) Quando il tubo è in uso, notare che il flusso d’aria diminuirà in base alla
lunghezza e particolarità del tubo stesso.
11) Posizionare la presa d’aria del VAF-3000 lontano da muri o altre ostruzioni
che impediscano il massimo ingresso di aria nel ventilatore.
12) Per sicurezza, usare il VAF-3000 solo e unitamente a continui test di
detenzione di gas nell’atmosfera.

MENO CHE NON SI SIA CERTI DI NON ESSERE IN PRESENZA DI
CONTAMINAZIONI NELL’ATMOSFERA. PER GARANTIRE LA
SICUREZZA E SALUTE DELL’OPERATORE DEL VAF-3000,
TESTARE L’AREA CON EQUIPAGGIAMENTI ADATTI.
OPERATION
1) Your new Fan comes to you completely assembled and ready to operate.
Upon removing the Fan from its carton, ispect it for any possible damage in
transit.
2) Before operating the Fan, please read all the safety Precautions and General
Safety Information about the proper and safe use of the Fan.
3) Assess your job site, certain job site locations are classified as being
hazardous because the atmosphere may contain gas vapor or dust in explosive
quantities.
DANGER
THE ELECTRIC MOTOR AND FANHOUSING ARE NOT DESIGNED
FOR OPERATION IN AN EXPLOSDIVE AND/OR FLAMMABLE
ATMPSPHERE OF ANY CLASS OR GROUP. OPERATION OF THE
FAN IN AN EXPLOSIVE OR FLAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE MAY
RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
4) Locate a properly grounded outlet.
5) Prior to plugging in the Fan into a grounded outlet, inspect the inlet and
outlet grills and remove debris which may restrict airflow movement. Never
operate the Fan without the inlet and outlet grills properly secured and in place.
Never replace the grills with other than factory supplied replacement units.
6) Note the directional airflow indicator on the external shell. This the shifting
while in use.
7) Place the Fan on secure footing to prevent it from shifting while in use.
8) Do not stand directly in front of and/or face the Fan outlet. Personal injury
can result from being struck by debris trhown at a relatively high velocity from
the Fan blade.
9) When ducting is required, do not istall duct while Fan is in operation. Place
duct lip over the Fan duct adapter, secure firmly, and note direction of the
airflow.
10) When duct is used. Be aware that the airflow rate decreases as the lenght of
duct increases. Airflow rates will vary with specific duct types and
manufactures.
11) Position Fan air inlet away from walls and other obstructions to allow for
maximum air intake.
12) For safe operation, use the Fan only in combination with through gas
detention tests and continual retesting.

CIRCUITI O INCIDENTI. ASSICURARSI CHE LA VENTOLA SI SIA
FERMATA PRIMA DI AVVICINARE OGGETTI E O DITA VICINO
ALLA GRIGLIA.
1) Osservare visivamente che tutte le parti del ventilatore siano in buono stato.
In caso contrario aggiustare o sostituirle solo con ricambi originali approvati
dalla ditta Altrad Italia.
2) Tenere la ventola sempre pulita dai detriti, cumuli di polvere, vernice o
simili, in modo da evitare che la ventola stessa possa scagliarle quando è in uso.
Per pulire la ventola, scollegare il VAF-3000, aspettare che al ventola si fermi,
rimuovere la griglia ed estrarre la ventola. Pulire la ventola con panno umido e
saponi liquidi. Asciugare bene tutte le parti pulite. NON GETTARE
DIRETTAMENTE ACQUA SUL VAF-3000. Rimettere le griglie.

MAINTENANCE
DANGER
ALWAYS SHUT OFF THE FAN AND UNPLUG IT FROM ITS POWER
SOURCE TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING AND THE
POSSIBILITY OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND/OR
ELECTROCUTION. BE SURE THE FAN BLADE HAS STOPPED
ROTATING BEFORE PLACING ANY OBJECTS OR FINGERS NEAR
THE FAN GRILL.
1) Visually check all fastners and individual components for loose or broken
parts. Tighten or replace items, as required, only with genuine, factory
approved replacement parts.
2) Keep the Fan blade clean from debris, accumulation of dust , dirt, paint, etc.
On the Fan blade will throw the blade rotation out of balance resulting in
damage. To clean the Fan blade, be sure the plug is disconnected and the blade
has stopped rotating. Remove one grill and wipe blade and interior shell
housing clean of debris with damp cloth and mild liquid soap. Dry all parts
throughly. DO NOT PRESSURE WASH THE FAN. Replace grill prior to
next operation.
DANGER
DO NOT OPERATE THE FAN WITHOUT THE INLET AND OUTLET
GRILL PROPERLY IN PLACE.

for Fan maintenance or repair not described in this manual (or if you are unsure

volt/amp. Riparare o sostituire i cavi difettosi.
