Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the
product.
• Allelectricalconnectionsmustcomplywith local codes,ordinancesor the National ElectricCode
(NEC). Contact your municipal building department to inquire about your local codes, permits and/or
inspections.
• Turn off electricity at the main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation by
removing the fuse or by switching off the circuit breaker.
• Do not connect this xture to an electrical system that does not provide a means for equipment
grounding.Neveruseaxtureinatwo-wiresystemthatisnotgrounded.
• Ifyouarenotsureyourlightingsystemhasagroundingmeans,donotattempttoinstallthisxture.
Contact a qualied, licensed electrician for information regarding proper grounding methods as
required by the local electrical code in your area.
• Makesuretheinstallationsiteyouchooseallowsaminimumclearanceof7ft.fromthebladestothe
oorandatleast30in.fromtheendsofthebladestoanyobstruction.
• Securetheoutletboxdirectlytothebuildingstructure.Theoutletboxanditssupportmustbeableto
support the moving weight of the fan (at least 35 Ibs.).
• Ifadimmercontrolswitchisusedwiththisxture,obtainprofessionaladvicetodeterminethecorrect
type and electrical rating required.
• Thelightingxturemustbepositionedsothereisatleast1.64ft.betweenthebulbandanyilluminated
surface.
• Forsupplyconnections,iftheconductorofafanisidentiedasagroundedconductor,thenitshould
beconnected toa groundedconductor powersupply.Iftheconductorofa fanis identiedas an
ungrounded conductor, then it should be connected to an ungrounded conductor power supply. If the
conductorofafanisidentiedforequipmentgrounding,thenitshouldbeconnectedtoanequipment-
grounding conductor.
• Allxturesmustbemountedtoa4in.x4in.x2-1/8in.deepmetaloutletboxthatissupportedby
thebuildingstructure.Donotattempttosupportthexturebyceilingboardalone.Theceilingboard
alonedoesnothavethestrengthtosupporttheweightofthexture.Thexturecouldfallandcause
personal injury.
• Donotusebulbshavingawattagegreaterthanthemaximumvaluestatedonthextureandinthis
manual.Usingahigherwattagebulbthanspeciedwillincreasexturetemperatureandincrease
riskofre.

electrician before installation.
• Wireconnectorswillnotsupporttheweightofaxture;suspendingaxturebythehousewiresand
wireconnectorswillresultinthexturefalling,withthepossibilityofpersonalinjuryandthedanger
ofelectricalshockorre.
• Toreducetheriskofreorelectricshock,donotusethisfanwithanysolidstatefanspeeddeviceor
variable speed control.
• Toreducetheriskofpersonalinjury,donotbendthebladebracketswheninstallingthebrackets,
balancing or cleaning the fan.
• Donotinsertforeignobjectsinbetweenrotatingfanblades.
• Donotinstallorusethefanifanypartisdamagedormissing.
• Toreducetheriskofre,electricalshockorpersonalinjury,mounttooutletboxmarked“ACCEPTABLE
FOR FAN SUPPORT OF 35 LBS OR LESS” and use mounting screws provided with the outlet box
and/or support directly from building structure. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support
ofluminariesarenotacceptableforfansupportandmayneedtobereplaced.Consultaqualied
electrician if in doubt.
• Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at the service panel and lock the service
disconnecting means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service
disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag,
to the service panel.
• Installingaxtureintoanelectricalsystemwithoutapropergroundingmeanscouldallowmetalparts
ofthexturetocarryelectricalcurrents.Ifanyofthexturewires,wireconnectionsorsplicesare
broken,cutorlooseduringthemountingornormaloperationofthexture,undersuchcondition,
anyonecomingincontactwiththextureissubjecttoelectricalshock,whichcouldcauseserious
injury or death.
• Connectionofthebareorgreenxturegroundwiretotheblackorwhitehousewiresmayallowmetal
partsofthexturetocarryelectricalcurrents.Underthisconditionanyonecomingincontactwiththe
xturewillreceiveelectricalshock,whichcouldcauseseriousinjuryordeath.
• Becarefulnottodamageorcutthewireinsulation(covering)duringxtureinstallation.Donotpermit
wires to have contact with any surface having a sharp edge. Doing so may damage or cut the wire
insulation, which could cause serious injury or death from electric shock.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble
the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 45 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Philips Screwdriver, Step Ladder, Tape, Pliers and
Wire Cutters.

INITIAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the fan
supply line leads.
2. Choose the desired mounting method:
3. Check existing outlet box (not included) to ensure it is
securely fastened to at least two points in a structural
ceiling member and can support the full weight of
thefan.Onceveried,installmountingbracket(A)to
the outlet box using the screws and washers provided
with the outlet box.
Note: If using the angle mount, make sure open end
of mounting bracket (A) is installed facing the higher
point of the ceiling.

DANGER: Failure to disconnect power supply
prior to installation may result in serious injury or
death.
DANGER: A loose outlet box can cause the
fan to wobble and increase the fan’s potential to fall,
which could result in serious injury or death.
A. Standard Mounting:
Standard mounting is best suited for ceilings 8 ft.
or higher. For taller ceilings you may want to use a
longer downrod (not included).
B. Angle Mounting:
Angle-style mounting is best suited for angled or
vaulted ceilings. A longer downrod is sometimes
necessary to ensure proper blade clearance. If using
the angle mount, make sure the ceiling angle is not
steeperthan20°.
Note: Flushmount and closemount options are not
available for this item.
Note: It is required the blades are at least 30 in. from
any obstruction. Check downrod length to ensure
bladesareatleast7ft.abovetheoor.

4. Remove hairpin clip (O) and clevis pin (N) from the
coupling in motor housing (F). Retain for later use.
Loosen the two screws in the coupling, but do not
remove them.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware separate to
avoid confusion during installation.
5. Place downrod assembly (B) through canopy (C),
canopy cover (D) and coupling cover (E).
6. Feed power wires from motor housing (F) through
downrod assembly (B), then insert downrod assembly
(B) into the coupling on motor housing (F).
Align the hole on downrod assembly (B) to hole on
coupling, then re-install clevis pin (N). Re-attach
hairpin clip (O) into clevis pin (N) until it snaps into
place, then tighten the two previously loosened
screws.

9. Cutoffexcessxturewiresapproximately6to9
inches above top of the downrod assembly (B).
Strip insulation off 1/2 in. from the end of each
xturewires.

8. Install 25-watt bulbs (H) into each socket on the
motor housing (F). 8

7. Carefully place the upper glass (G) on the motor
housing (F). Ensure the upper glass (G) sits evenly
on the motor housing (F), then align the holes on
support bracket (BB) with the holes on motor housing
(F). Secure support bracket (BB) against the upper
glass (G) and motor housing by tightening the screws
packed with the support bracket (BB).
CAUTION: Alternate tightening support bracket
(BB) every few turns, and do not overtighten the
screws to avoid cracking the glass.

10. Carefully lift the fan and seat the hanger ball of
downrod assembly (B) on the mounting bracket (A)
attached to the outlet box.
Note: Be sure one of the four slots in the hanger ball
is lined up with the tab on the mounting bracket (A).
DANGER: Be careful when aligning the tab to
the slot! If not fully engaged, there is a possibility of
the fan falling, which may result in serious injury
or death.

1. To sync the remote from power kit (T) to the receiver
alsoinpowerkit(T),rstremovethebattery
cover from the remote and slide code switches to
your choice of up or down position using a small
screwdriver or ballpoint pen (neither included).
Replace battery cover on remote. Then, slide the
code switches on the receiver to the same positions
as set on the remote.
Note: Factorysettingisallup;donotusethis
position.

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse
box before hanging.
WARNING: If house wires are of different colors than referred to in the following steps, stop
immediately. A professional electrician is recommended to determine proper wiring.
Note: If you are not sure if the outlet box is grounded, contact a licensed electrician for advice, as it
must be grounded for safe operation.
Note: The remote from power kit (T) has 16 different code combinations. To prevent possible
interference from or to other remote units, simply change the combination code in your remote and
receiver as described in Step 1 below.
