OPERATION
Intended use
The machine is designed for private use in mowing residential gardens. Do not use it for commercial
or other purposes.
Warning: Before mowing, always check your work area and remove all foreign objects – stones,
branches, etc. We also recommend removing long weeds, which might otherwise entangle the
blades and burn out the motor.
Warning: Use safety glasses or faceplate, firm boots, and gloves.
Power On / Off
Before switching on the tool, make sure that:
• It is correctly assembled;
• All locks are properly secured and all bolts and nuts are fully tightened;
• The battery is inserted correctly;
• The battery is fully charged.
The machine is equipped with a two-step power-on system to prevent unintentional starting.
To power on, first press the power switch, then pull the power lever towards the handlebar. (In Fig.
F, 1 marks power switch; 2 marks handlebar; 3 marks power lever.) The tool will start. You may now
release the power switch.
Releasing the power lever automatically stops the machine.
Warning: After switching off the machine, always wait until the blade has come to a complete
stop.
If the machine starts with the power lever alone, the safe-start system is defective and the machine
may not be used. Contact an authorized service center for repair.
Warning: Do not disable or attempt to bypass the safe-start system. Do not attempt to force the
lever without first depressing the power switch.
Note: The machine will not start if the motor is overheated. This may occur from prolonged sustained
use, mowing thick or wet grass, etc. Let the motor cool down, then try starting again.
Mowing grass
Warning: Before mowing, always check your work area and remove all foreign objects – stones,
branches, etc. We also recommend removing long weeds, which might otherwise entangle the
blades and burn out the motor.
Warning: Use safety glasses or faceplate, firm boots, and gloves.
Warning: If the blade becomes entangled or a foreign object is run over, turn off the machine, re-
move the key, then remove the batteries. Then check the machine for damage and untangle the
blade. Only handle the blade in gloves.
Hold the machine fast by the handlebar, with both hands.
Slowly drive the machine before you. We recommend a pace of about 0.25 m / second (1 ft / sec).
Note: The machine will automatically adjust motor power to current load to preserve battery
life.
Keep your balance at all times while using the tool. When mowing on slopes, watch your step. Never
run.
The mowing width aligns with the centerlines of the front wheels. Use these as a guide to mow in
bands. Overlap bands by a third to a half to ensure an even trim.
USE

17ENGLISH
Alternate directions between bands to prevent the lawn from developing a permanent pattern.
Regularly check the bin and empty it before it overfills. Each time, first stop the machine, remove the
key, then remove the batteries.
Note: Continuing to use the machine after the bin fills creates back-pressure on the blades, straining
the motor and risking its burnout.
Mowing Tall Grass
Do not mow tall grass all at once. Instead mow it down some, wait a day or two, then mow it lower.
Mowing tall grass down to the ground may cause it to die. The long blades may also entangle the
blade, straining the motor and risking its burnout.
Emptying the Grass Bin
Warning: To prevent accidents and injuries, regularly check the grass bin for wear and damage.
Replace if necessary.
1. Turn off the machine, remove the key, then remove the battery.
2. Lift the movable cover plate, then pull out the bin by its handle (Fig. G).
3. Empty the bin.
4. Replace it, then carefully lower the cover plate.
Overload Protection
If you use the machine or battery in a way that causes abnormally high power draw, the tool will auto-
matically stop; there is no warning indicator. In that event, release the power lever into the off position
and modify your work routine to avoid further overloading. Then turn it on again.
Overheating protection
If the machine or battery overheats, the machine will automatically stop. In that event, release the
power lever into the off position and let the machine and battery cool down. Then turn it on again.
Protection against excessive discharge
If the charge level drops excessively, the tool will automatically stop. In that event, release the power
lever into the off position. Remove the battery and charge it.
Note: The overload, overheating, and overdischarge protections are safety systems designed to
prevent damage to the machine and batteries. Do not attempt to bypass or modify these security
features. There is a risk of serious injury or death.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Warning: Before any cleaning or maintenance, always check the machine is off and the key and
battery have been removed.
Warning: Whenever not using the machine, remove the key. Keep the key in a safe place away from
children and pets.
Warning: When inspecting and maintaining the machine, wear gloves, goggles or a face shield.
Only the maintenance and cleaning tasks described in this manual may be performed by the user. For
any other maintenance, cleaning or adjustment, contact an authorized service center.
Clean the tool after each use. This will ensure its long life.
Carefully flip the machine on its side and remove bits of grass from around the blades and cover
plates. The bottom of the machine may be cleaned by low-pressure water flow.
Check all nuts, bolts, caps, connectors, etc. are tight.
Check movable parts for wear and damage. Damaged or missing parts need to be repaired or re-
placed.

alcohol, hydrocarbon cleaners or similar substances.
Carrying
We recommend two adults move the machine: One by the bottom part of the handlebar, the other
by the top grip.
Replacing the Blade
Warning: Before replacing the blade, make sure the machine is off and the key and batteries have
been removed. Failing to do so risks severe injury, including severed digits.
Warning: The blade takes up to several seconds to come to a stop after the machine has powered
down. Before any activity around the blade, always check it is fully stopped.
Warning: Only handle the blade in work gloves.
1. Carefully flip the machine on that of its sides which does not have the cutting height adjustment
lever.
2. When replacing the blade, we recommend arresting it in place with a suitable object, e.g. a wood-
en stick.
3. Use a wrench to loosen the bolt. (In Fig. H1, 1 marks blade; 2 marks bolt.)
4. Remove the bolt, the fan, and the blade. (In Fig. H2, 1 marks bolt; 2 marks blade; 3 marks fan.)
5. Place the new blade on the shaft, then the fan, then secure with the bolt.
Warning: Take care when installing the blade. Its top and bottom are not identical. Mount it so that
the rotation direction arrow points outward.
Warning: Secure the blade by turning the bolt clockwise. Tighten well.
Warning: Make sure the blade and its assembly are properly installed and the bolts are tight.
Warning: Always follow the instructions in this manual when replacing the blade.
Storage
Before storing, make sure the machine is off and the key and batteries have been removed.
Store the tool in a dry, well-ventilated area out of the reach of children, pets and persons who have
not been instructed in its safe use. Only store the tool inside buildings.
The handlebar can be folded down if required. Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the grass bin.
2. Twist both handlebar fold locks. (In Fig. I1, 1 marks twist lock; 2 marks top handlebar.)
