Connect the red leod of the conneclion cord to the fuse
box or ignition swilch ond the positive (*) terminol of the

* SPEAKER INSTALLATION:
Your Slereo is designed for use with 2 or 4 speokers
ond the besl performonce is oihieved with lhe use of
molched speokers of 8 or 4 ohm impedonce respeclively.
Mixing speokers of dif Ierent ohmoge con couse mismotch
in lhe impedonce. This will result in poor volume ond lone
quolity.
NOTE, The Stereo unit musl be turned off while instoll-
ing speolers in order lo ovoid domoge lo lhe unit
due lo possible shorling of speoker leods during
inslollolion process.

cord is of the noise suppression type, the use of
the noase suppressor is nol necessory.
Howevcr, il the high-voltoge cord is cut, o new
cord must be used to reploce it.

high-voltoge cord thot connecls the ignition coil to the

* CONTROL OF VARIOUS MECHANISMS:
. HEAD POSITION AND HEAD ANGLE CONTROL:
When the posilion ond ongle of the reproducing heod in-
respecl to the recording lope is not correct; lhe volume
is noi sufficient, the tone becomes bod ond this results in
crosslolk. Adiust both the previously mentioned oreo on
lhe bock of the stereo reproduclion heod (heod position)
ond ozimulh (heod ongle) by meons of the odiusting screw.

METHOD OF ADJUSTING HEAD AREA.

A{ter boloncing the left ond right sides using the bolonce
odjustment knob, select lhe heod position for chonnel 2
Itrocks 2 ond 6) with fhe lest lope, turn the oreo odjust-
menl screw ond odjusl lhe output to moximum. After the
2 chonnel odjustment is finished. check the oreos for
'chonnels l, 3 ond 4. lTo confirm the oulput, use D vocuum

METHOD OF ADJUSTING HEAD AZIMUTH.
(Refer to Fig. 15)
Turn the ozimuth odiustment screw so thot lhe oulptJl is
moximum for ony one of the chonnels using lhe lesl tope.
NOTE I , To check the ouiput, use o vocunm vollmeter
or lester tReler.
NOTE 2 , Since 'he oreo odiust con be disturbed when
moking the ozimuth odiuslmenl, repeot the oreo
. ond ozimufh odiustments severol limes.
ADJUSTMENT WITH NO TEST TAPES.

Adiust by meons of the oreo odjusling screw for o moxi-
mum oulpul with lhe heod position ot chonnel 2 llrocks 2
ond 6) using o music tope wilh good treble. Then confirm
lhe oreo for chonnels l, 3 ond 4.
METHOD OF ADJUSTING OUTPUT OF RIGHT
AND LEFT CHANNEL AMPTIFIERS.

First remove the escutcheons lblock resin ponels) ond
escutcheon ossemblies. Adiust the orrtput by inserting o
smoll insuloted driver into the omplifier output odiustment
screw holes.
Posilion the knobs so thot the treble is moximum, the boss
is moximum ond the bolonce is in the center position.
NOTE , Moke lhis omplifier output odiusrmenl only in coses
when ports ore reploced during repoirs etc.

METHOD OF ADJUSTING ANTENNA TNIMMEN.

Adiusling lhe ontenno trimmer resulls in on increose in lhe
sensitivity. Tiis should be done only ofter repoirs or
otlochment of lhe moin unil, incoses where lhe onlenno or
onlenno coble is reploced or in coses when lhe rodio
ssnsilivily is effecled by noise.
METHOD OF ADJUSTMENT.
With the volume ond tone both ot o moximum, turn the
onlenno trimmer odjustmenl screw ond odjust lhe sensilivily
so thot the white noise received ot the l400kHz position
on lhe diol is loud.
