NOTE: “The conditions and tests required for TSO approval of this article are
minimum performance standards. It is the responsibility of those desiring to
install this article on or within a specific type or class of aircraft to determine
that the aircraft operating conditions are within TSO standards. The article may
be installed only if further evaluation by the applicant documents an acceptable

The GPS/Avionics Cooling Fan, AK-950-F( ), is a GPS Accessory item. It
delivers up to 26.6 CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) of Force Air Cooling to
GPS/Avionics Receivers.
NOTES: All dimensions are in inches.

2. ACCESSORIES SUPPLIED:
•Air Hoses: 5/8” I.D. Size
•Connector Kit (supplied. 2 Pins or 3 pins):
Plug, 770069-1 AMP Inc. or equivalent, 3092032 Molex or equivalent
Contacts, Female Socket 770146-5, (24-18) AWG AMP Inc. or equivalent
2091117 Molex or equivalent
(Crimping Tool, 90872-1 AMP Inc. or equivalent should be used)
3. WIRING DIAGRAM:
NOTE: Power Reverse Polarity is protected.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Mounting: Universal Remote Mounting
Un-used outlets may be left open to prevent Reverse Air Flow.
Connect Hoses to Port Outlets as shown.
Cut hose lengths as short as practical, if stronger air flow is desired.

•POWER: 28 VDC @ 0.4A
14 VDC @ 0.6A
•AIR FLOW: 38 CFM typical @ 0 mmAg
•AIR PRESSURE: 0.9 in H2O minimum
•MTBF:78,000 Hours @ 25°C
•Optional under speed indicator:
Normal: Ground sink 10 ma @ 30Vdc max
Failure: open collector (60 mic amp) @ 30 Vdc

GPS/Avionics Receivers.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Mounting: Direct mounting as follows:
The Fan outlet Port may be directly mounted at the back of the Avionic Radio
Tray. Keep the distance between the Fan Outlet Port and the Tray Inlet Port,
less than 1 Inch (or as short as possible.) The Air Flow from this Outlet Port
will cool the Radio, located inside the Tray.
NOTE: The Fan may also be mounted remotely if space behind the Avionic
tray is not allowed.
