CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Remove the camera from its housing.

2. Insert a microSD card (sold separately). The card must have
a minimum rating of Class 6 or UHS-I, and a capacity
maximum 32GB.

3. Open the bottom door, insert the battery and then close
the bottom door.

4. Charge the battery by connecting the camera to a computer
or other USB charging adapter using the included USB cable.
The camera status light turns on during charging and turns off
when charging is complete.
5. When charging with a computer, be sure that the computer
is connected to a power source. If the camera status light does
not turn on, use a different USB port.
PRO TIP: The included lithium-ion battery comes partially charged. No
damage occurs to the camera or battery if used prior to a full charge.

POWERING ON + OFF
To Power On:
Press the Power/Mode button [ ] for two seconds. The camera status
lights (Blue) flash and the sound indicator emits. When the camera
status screen displays information, your camera is on.
To Power Off:
Press and hold the Power/Mode button [ ] for two seconds. The
camera status lights turn off and the sound indicator emits.

INSERTING + REMOVING MICROSD CARDS
The Aokon SJ7000 camera is compatible with microSD
memory cards with a capacity maximum 32GB (sold
separately). You must use a microSD card with a minimum
rating of Class 6/10 or UHS-I. Aokon recommends using
brand name memory cards for maximum reliability in high-
vibration activities.
To insert the microSD Card:
Slide the memory card into the card slot with the label facing the front
of the camera. When fully inserted, the card clicks into place.

To remove the microSD Card:
Place your fingernail against the edge of the memory card and lightly
press it further into the camera. The card springs out far enough to be
removed.
NOTICE: Use care when handling memory cards. Avoid liquids, dust
and debris. As a precaution, power off the camera before inserting or
removing the card. Check manufacturer guidelines regarding use in
acceptable temperature ranges.

/ Camera Displays
Your SJ7000 camera features a 2.0-inch screen on the back
of the camera.
CAMERA SCREEN
The 2.0-inch screen on the back of the camera lets you
control your camera and its settings, and preview and play
back videos and photos. You can also use it as a viewfinder
so you can see what your camera sees for easy shot-framing.
The camera screen displays the following information about
modes and settings when it’s power on:

every 3 minutes when recording

Turning the screen On/Off:
The screen automatically turns on/off when you power the camera
on/off.
PRO TIP: Open the Screensavers Mode to conserve battery power while
your camera is on.

/Mode Switching / Camera Setup Menus
The camera will enter into Video Recording Mode, when it’s power
on. You can press the Power/Mode button [ ] to switch mode.

/ Navigating Settings Menus
Each camera mode has its own settings menu. With your
SJ7000, you can navigate the settings menus using the
buttons on the camera.
TO NAVIGATE WITH THE CAMERA BUTTONS:
1. Verify that the camera is in the menus setting screen. If the
screen for that mode does not appear on the camera screen,
press the Power/Mode button [ ] repeatedly until it appears.
2. Press the “Up/Down” button to cycle through the settings.

3. Press the Shutter/Select button [ ] to cycle through the
options within a setting. To select an option, leave the option
highlighted when you move to another screen.
4. To go back to the previous screen or exit the settings menu,
press the Power/Mode button [ ].

TV out
You can play back videos and photos on your TV/HDTV.
Playing back videos and photos on your TV/HDTV requires a
micro HDMI, composite or combo cable (all sold separately).

To Play Back Content on a TV:
1. Plug the camera into a TV/HDTV with a micro HDMI cable,
composite cable or combo cable.
2. Select the input on your TV that corresponds to the port into which you
plugged the cable.
3. Power on the camera.
4. Press the Power/Mode button [ ] to cycle to Playback Mode, and
then press the “Up/Down” button and Shutter/Select button [ ] to
select videos or photos.
Note: HDMI playback depends on the resolution of the device, and is
certified up to 1080p.

OSD Mode
The OSD (on-screen display) setting determines whether the
camera system icons and file information on video and on the
viewing screen appear during operate camera.

Time-lapse Record
Creates video from frames captured at specific intervals.

Capture Mode
Like Self Timer Photo Mode, you can take photo at specific
intervals.
Option: Single/3S Timer/5S Timer/10S Timer/20S Timer
Default option: Single

PRO TIP: If you opened Capture Mode, Capture Mode icon will appear in
the middle left on your camera displays in Photo Mode.
Cyclic Record
Create a video file in SD-CARD at specific intervals when
recording.
Option: off/3 Minutes/5 Minutes/10 Minutes
Default option: off
If you set up 3 Minutes, it will create a video file in your camera
SD-CARD every 3 minutes when recording.

HDR
HDR: High Dynamic Range, with this setting, you can turn on
and off HDR technology.
Option: Off/On

Motion Detection
Detects your motion, the camera will automatically begin
record when it detects dynamic action.

PRO TIP: If you opened Motion Detection/HDR, Motion Detection/HDR
icon will appear in the middle left on your camera displays in Video
Recording Mode.
Date Stamping
The Date Stamping setting determines whether the date/time
information appear on your video or on photo.

Audio
With this setting, you can set your camera’s audio setting.
If open, it will record audio when recording.

White Balance
White balance adjusts the overall color tone of videos and
photos.

Quality
This setting lets you set the video and photo quality. It will
affect the video and photo quality and storage size.

Color
Color allows you to adjust the color profile of your video
footage or photos.

ISO
ISO Limit adjusts the camera’s sensitivity in low-light
environments, and creates a balance between brightness and
resulting image noise. Image noise refers to the degree of
graininess in the image.

Sharpness controls the sharpness of your video footage or photos.

Exposure
Exposure affects the brightness of your video or photo.
Adjusting this setting can improve image quality when
shooting in environments with contrasting lighting conditions.

PRO TIP: Exposure adjusts brightness within the existing ISO Limit.
If brightness has already reached the ISO Limit in a low-light
environment, increasing the Exposure does not have any effect.
Anti-Shaking
Anti-Shaking technology that combats a lens's movement
caused by camera shake to reduce blur in an image.

Language
This setting changes the language that appears on the
camera dis-plays.

Format
This setting lets you format the memory card. If you select
Format, the memory card is reformatted, which deletes every
file on the card.

This setting lets you reset your camera’s menu settings.
Version
Shows your camera’s version information.

Date/Time
This setting lets you manually set the date and time. If the
battery is removed from the camera for an extended period of
time, you must reset the date and time.
Auto Power Off
Your camera can be configured to automatically power off after
a specific period (3 minute - 10 minutes) in which no videos or
photos are captured and no buttons are pressed. You can also
configure the camera to never automatically power off.
Option: Off/3 Minutes/5 Minutes/10 Minutes
Default option: Off
Note: Your camera does not automatically power off when connected to
the App or the remote.
Beep Sound
You can set the volume for the sound indicators to be on
(default) or off.

TV Mode
The TV Mode setting governs frame rates for recording and
playback when viewing video on a TV/HDTV.

Frequency
This setting lets you set the camera’s system frequency.
Option: 50 HZ/60 HZ
Default option: 50 HZ
Rotate
If you mount your camera upside down, you might have to
rotate the files during editing. This setting eliminates the need
to flip your video or photos after recording.
Option: Off/On
Default option: Off
LicenseNo set
This setting lets you set plate number of your car, it will appear
on your video.
WIFIPassword
This setting lets you set the camera’s WIFI password.

WIFISSID
This setting lets you set the camera’s WIFI SSID.
Car Mode
It can be used as a driving recorder. If you open this mode,
your camera will automatic power on and recording when
charging. It will automatic stop recording and power off when
switch off the electricity.
Option: off/on
Default option: off
Note: On Car Mode, the video can’t playback and can’t be found on
playback mode, it just can be found and playback on your computer.
Delete
This setting lets you delete the last file, or delete all files on the
memory card. Deleting all files is useful after you transfer your
files to your computer and want to make room on your memory
card for more content.
