Thank you for pur hasing a graphi s ard
waterblo k manufa tured by Aqua Computer. The
aquagraFX for GTX 680 Lightning has been
spe ifi ally designed for graphi s ards a ording
to referen e design of the hip manufa turer. The
aquagraFX for GTX 680 Lightning effe tively ools
the RAM, voltage regulators and GPU of your
graphi s ard. The base part of the waterblo k is
manufa tured from pure opper for outstanding
performan e and durability.

Step 1:
Remove the originally installed air ooling unit
from the graphi s ard. The pro edure ne essary
to perform this might slightly vary depending on
the graphi s ard. Use extreme aution not to
damage any of the highly sensitive omponents of
the graphi s ard! Dis onne t the fan onne tor
while lifting the air ooling unit off the graphi s
ard.
Step 2:
Remove all thermally ondu tive pads from the
graphi s ard and lean all surfa es with dire t
onta t to the ooling unit from remaining thermal
ompounds using benzine if ne essary.
Apply a thin layer of thermal ompound to the
GPU and the RAM modules. These omponents
are marked red in the figure. The thermal
ompound must not be ele tri ally ondu tive! Cut
fitting pie es from the thermally ondu tive pad
supplied with the aquagraFX and pla e them on
top of the voltage regulators as indi ated by green
re tangles.
Step 3:
Atta h the aquagraFX for GTX 680 Lightning to the
graphi s ard. The original ba k plate will be
reused. At first arefully and evenly s rew in the
four s rews adja ent to the GPU (four s rews M3 x
4 mm), afterwards the remaining s rews (five
s rews M3x6 mm). Se ure the lateral areas of the
ba k plate with four s rews M3 x 6 mm and fittings
hex nuts M3 supplied with the aquagraFX.
Step 4:
Carefully he k that the waterblo k has level
onta t to all relevant omponents of the graphi s
ard. Do not power on the graphi s ard or the
PC if the ooler does not perfe tly fit the graphi s
ard! In this ase, disassemble and repeat the
mounting pro edure. All s rews must not be overly
tightened to prevent the PCB from twisting!
Step 5:
Insert the graphi s ard to your PC and integrate
the waterblo k into your ooling system. Be sure
not to onne t any waterblo ks in parallel but only
onse utively. A detailed instru tion on building a
water ooling system and plug& ool onne tors as

Step 6:
Put the water ooling system into operation, but do
not onne t any other PC omponents to the
mains supply! Che k the waterblo k as well as the
fittings for leakages and do not put your PC into
operation unless you an definitively eliminate the
possibility of oolant leaking from the system! If
any omponent has been in onta t with oolant,
do not put it into operation before it is ompletely
dry again! For operating the graphi s ard, the
waterblo k must be orre tly mounted and be
onne ted to a water ooling system featuring
adequate ooling performan e! For orrosion
inhibition, either Double Prote t Ultra or a mixture
of water and ACfluid a ording to the preparation
instru tions provided with ACfluid must be used as
oolant!
