Thank you for urchasing a gra hics card water block
manufactured by aqua com uter. The aquagrATIx for
HD6990 has been s ecifically designed for gra hics
cards according to reference design of the chi man-
ufacturer. The aquagrATIx for HD6990 effectively
cools the RAM, voltage regulators and GPU of your
gra hics card. The base art of the water block is
manufactured from ure co er for outstanding er-
formance and durability.

Ste 1:
Remove the originally installed air cooling unit from
the gra hics card. The rocedure necessary to er-
form this might vary slightly de ending on the gra h-
ics card. Use extreme caution not to damage any of
the highly sensitive com onents of the gra hics card!
Remove the screws holding the air cooling unit (see
red marks in the figure) and lift the air cooling unit off
the gra hics card while disconnecting the fan con-
nector.
Ste 2:
Remove all thermally conductive ads from the gra h-
ics card and clean all surfaces with direct contact to
the cooling unit from remaining thermal com ounds
using benzine if necessary.
A ly a thin layer of thermal com ound to the GPU
and the RAM modules (indicated by red marks in the
figure). The thermal com ound must not be electric-
ally conductive! Cut fitting ieces from the thermal
ad su lied with the water block and lace them on
to of the voltage regulators and the bridge chi (in-
dicated by green marks in the figure).
Ste 3:
Attach the aquagrATIx for HD6990 to the gra hics

reused! To do so, at first carefully and evenly screw in
the four screws adjacent to the GPU, afterwards the
remaining screws:
Four screws M3x4 mm, green marks in the figure.
Four screws M3x6 mm, blue marks in the figure.
Seven screws M3x8 mm with countersunk head, red
marks in the figure, three of them fixated with hex nuts
on to of the PCB.
Ste 4:
Carefully check that the water block has level contact
to all relevant com onents of the gra hics card. Do
not ut the gra hics card to work if the cooler does
not erfectly fit the gra hics card! In this case, disas-
semble and re eat the mounting rocedure. All
screws must not be overly tightened to revent the
PCBs from twisting!
Ste 5:
Insert the gra hics card to your PC and integrate the
water block into your cooling system. Be sure not to
connect any water blocks in arallel but only consec-
utively. A detailed instruction on building a water
cooling system and lug&cool connectors as well can
be found on our website www.aqua-com uter.de –
lease check the section su ort/download.
Ste 6:
Put the water cooling system into o eration, but do
not connect any other PC com onents to the mains
su ly! Check the water block as well as the fittings
for leakages and do not ut your PC into o eration
unless you can definitively eliminate the ossibility of
coolant leaking from the system! If any com onent
has been in contact with coolant, do not ut it into
o eration before it is com letely dry again! For o er-
ating the gra hics card, the water block must be cor-
rectly mounted and be connected to a water cooling
system featuring adequate cooling erformance! For
corrosion inhibition, “Double Protect Ultra” or a mix-
ture of water and ACfluid according to the re ara-
tion instructions rovided with ACfluid must be used
as coolant!
