Important information
Congratulations on your ARI Motors electric vehicle!
Regard this manual as an integral part of the vehicle, even if the vehicle is loaned or sold
to another person. Please also note that this is an electric vehicle and therefore has
properties that differ from a combustion vehicle. If maintenance and service are required,
please contact your dealer. Our specialist staff will be happy to help you and have the
tools you need for service. The dealer can also offer you maintenance and repair support.
1.) Always obey all traffic rules and drive carefully.
2.) Get to know the vehicle first. To do this, drive particularly carefully at the beginning and
become familiar with the characteristics of the vehicle. In the beginning, avoid strong
acceleration, braking or steering.
3.) Always drive very carefully in snow and rain. Avoid sudden braking and sharp changes of
direction on wet and slippery roads. In bad weather conditions, drive with particular
foresight in order to always have enough time for braking maneuvers.
4.) Only ride with the prescribed protective helmet.
5.) Do not drive with high-heeled shoes.
As with an combustion engine, an electric vehicle must also be run in. We therefore
recommend using the vehicle intensively for the first 500 kilometers (311 miles). The battery
can develop its full potential by charging it several times. It is therefore important for the
first 500 kilometers to use the vehicle intensively and to charge the battery frequently so
that the battery is trained to deliver and absorb energy quickly. In contrast to the
combustion engine, it is not important to drive particularly carefully here, but to use the
battery intensively. The actual range of the vehicle will only be available after around 500
kilometers. Important: Always avoid running the battery completely empty.
Also observe the information on charging the vehicle battery on pages 4, 8 and 9.

Important information
ABOUT THE VEHICLE
Even with an electric vehicle, energy-saving driving is synonymous with anticipatory
driving. As with a vehicle with a combustion engine, this vehicle consumes more energy
at high acceleration, at high driving speeds and on inclines. It is therefore an advantage
to watch the traffic with foresight and avoid unnecessary acceleration. It is also advisable
to let the vehicle coast more often, as the vehicle battery gains energy through
recuperation. This is not caused by braking energy, as is the case with a recuperation
brake, but by the free rotation of the engine or the rolling of the vehicle. In this way, the
battery can easily be recharged a little on a slope. Continuously depressing the
accelerator pedal and the associated maximum possible speed lead to a faster discharge
of the battery and is therefore not recommended if a long range is to be achieved.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT DRIVING
1.) Every vehicle has a frame number and an engine number to enable easier
maintenance and, if necessary, repairs. The frame number is on the lower part of the
front housing, the engine number is printed on the outer shell of the electric motor.
2.) The front rack should be loaded with a maximum of 35 kilograms, the rear with a
maximum of 70 kilograms. Note the changed road position of the vehicle with a
higher load. If the load is too high, a strong vibration of the handles occurs.
Therefore, always stick to the maximum payload.
3.) Do not place any flammable materials directly next to the electric motor.
4.) Only place cargo on the two luggage racks provided.
5.) Check the brakes, all connecting elements and the power supply before every
journey.
6.) When washing the vehicle, avoid spraying the brake drum, the engine and the axles
directly with water in order to increase their service life. Do not use high pressure or
steam cleaners when washing the vehicle.
7.) This vehicle is intended for one person. In addition, never exceed the maximum
payload of the vehicle.
8.) Check the air pressure in the tires and adjust it in good time. The prescribed tire
pressure is 2.8 bar for the front and rear tires. Check the tire pressure when it is not
heated.
9.) The battery power has the most optimal conditions at 20 degrees Celsius. Colder
temperatures ensure a higher internal resistance in the battery. This leads to the
range and capacity being reduced (e.g. at -8 degrees by approx. 25%). Likewise, the
range is reduced when consumers like the main lights are switched on.

POWER SUPPLY
BATTERY LEVEL DISPLAY
The energy supply of the vehicle can be
controlled via two safety switches for a
maximum of two batteries. The black switch
(picture on the right) is for the battery with
the black plug (picture below), the blue
switch is for the battery with the blue plug.
Both batteries are switched separately and
charged individually; this is not necessary
for vehicles with one battery.
(1) (2) (3)
The display of the charge level of the battery is located in the digital speedometer.
Image (1) shows the display when the battery is fully charged. Image (2) shows a
battery charge of 20%. At this level, the battery should be charged to protect it.
Image (3) shows an empty battery. When this happens, the vehicle's power supply
switches off and the battery is severely damaged.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
CHARGER AND BATTERY MAINTENANCE
1.) About a month after purchase, check that all screws and nuts are tight. If there are
loose bolts or nuts, tighten them.
2.) Keep the brake discs clean! With increased dirt it can lead to a reduced braking
effect as well as noise development. Should the brake discs need to be replaced, have
this troubleshooting carried out by a professional maintenance service.
1.) Only use the original charger.
2.) The charger should be used in a well-ventilated area. Under no circumstances
should it be used in an enclosed space as well as in strong or high sunlight
temperatures. Do not pack the charger under the seat or the rear case.
3.) When charging, insert the battery first and connect it then with a power source.
After charging, disconnect the battery or the charger from the power source and
only then pull the plug on the battery.
4.) When the green light is on, you should disconnect the device from the power
source. The charger and the power source must not be connected for a long period
of time without a charging process being carried out.
5.) Stop charging immediately if the charger overheats, the control lamp lights up
abnormally or there is an unusual smell.
6.) To avoid short circuits, make sure that when storing or in use, no other substances
(especially water and other liquids) enter the device.
7.) Do not exchange or remove any parts inside the charger.
8.) Keep the charger away from children.
9.) Charge the vehicle fully before you set off. Otherwise the service life of the battery
will be reduced.
10.) Never cover the charger during the charging process.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES AND GUARANTEE ON THE NEW VEHICLE
According to current legislative requirements, the seller is liable for damages covered by the
guarantee during the first 6 months with a subsequent warranty of 18 months. The warranty
period begins with the purchase date of the new vehicle. The date is recorded on a handover
certificate. A warranty repair can take place by exchanging or repairing defective parts. The ARI
Motors GmbH becomes the owner of the replaced parts. The guarantee does not lead to further
claims, especially regarding the replacement of the vehicle, withdrawal from the purchase
contract, provision of a substitute vehicle for the duration of the repair or compensation.
The warranty is only valid if all service works on the vehicle are conducted promptly,
professionally and in accordance with the requested inspection interval. When asserting warranty
claims, documentation must be provided that the maintenance work has been carried out by
service workers in accordance with ARI Motors regulations. In the event of neglected
maintenance or maintenance work that is not in accordance with the ARI Motors regulations,
there are still warranty claims if it can be proved that the maintenance work that was not carried
out or carried out discordant with the ARI Motors regulations did not cause any damage to the
vehicle.
