How
to
Install
Your
Mouse
You
MUST
turn
off
your
computer
before
connecting
or
disconnecting
your
mouse.
For
a
serial
mouse:
Directly
plug
the
mouse
to
a
9-pin
serial
port
on
your
computer,
or
indirectly
to
a
25-pin
serial
port
through
a
9-to-25
pin
serial
adapter.
For
a
PS/2
mouse:
Plug
the
mouse
connector
to
a
6-pin
mouse
port
on
your
compuer,
Installing
Mouse
Software
SOFWARE
You
can
install
mouse
software
for
both
Windows
and
DOS
in
one
step.
Insert
the
backup
copy
of
the
software
diskette
into
drive
A
or
B.
Start
Windows
and
enter
the
Program
Manager.
Choose
"Run"
from
the
File
menu.
The
Run
dialog
box
appears,
In
the
Command
Line
edit
box,
type
A:\
setup
or
B:\setup.
Follow
the
on-line
instructions
to
proceed.
However,
if
you
only
need
the
mouse
software
for
DOS,
then
at
the
DOS
prompt
type:
AjNinstall
or

BNinstall
The
DOS
version
Mouse
Control
Center
appears.

Control

Center
for
Windows
You
can
use
"Mouse
Control
Center"
for
parameters
setting.
Enter
Program
Manager,
open
the
Windows
Control
Panel
and
double
click
the
Artec
Mouse
icon,
the
"Mouse
Control
Center"
dialog
box
appears.

Acceleration
With
the
Acceleration
option,
you
can
accelerate
the
cursor
as
you
move
your
mouse.
Four
options
are
provided:
Slow,
Moderate,
Fast,
and
Off.
Double
Click
Speed
This
option
determines
how
fast
your
software
recognizes
a
double
click.
You
can
double
click
the
Test
box
to
test
the
speed.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity
is
the
ratio
of
actual
mouse
movement
to
cursor
movement.
You
can
use
this
option
to
set
how
fast
or
slow
the
cursor
moves
on
the
screen
as
you
move
your
mouse.
Button
Assignments
This
feature
allows
you
to
assign
the
commonly
performed
Windows
operations
to
the
right
and/or
the
middle
mouse
button(s).
Swap
Right
/
Left
Handed
You
can
use
this
option
to
activate
either
the
right
hand
or
the
left
hand
mode.
If
the
check
box
is
cleared,
the
default
setting-
right
hand
mode
will
be
activated.
