Thank you for purchasing the
OPTIMIZER Rink Divider system
The Optimizer is an aluminum framed rink divider
designed for ultimate ease of installation and long
wearing performance; the premier solution for arena
managers, hockey coaches and associations looking to
‘divide the ice’ in order to facilitate half-ice practices as
recommended by various federations, including USA
Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) and
Hockey Canada’s Cross Ice Initiation Program.
This manual details the initial setup, installation and
disassembly of the Optimizer Rink Divider system.

Assemble U-Channel Bolts on the Radius
Panels
1. On back of radius panel Bthere are two 3/8”
holes, on a plate weld to top frame.
2. Take U-bolt, two 3/8” washers, two 3/8” nuts, one
plate and two 3/8”locking nuts.
3. On U-Bolt threads place one 3/8”nut and thread
it 3/4” down the u-channel thread.
4. Place plate on U-Bolt. Place U-Bolt though holes
on panel, place one 3/8”washer and one 3/8”
locking nut. Tighten using a 9/16”wrench.
5. Repeat on other Bpanel and both CPanels.
The system comprises the following panels
along with a cart for transportation and
storage.

IMPORTANT
CAUTION: Be aware of pinch points and sharp
edges. Please handle the dividers safely and gently,
having several volunteers assist in assembly and
disassembly.
Note: Above based on Standard 85’ width option.
100’ width includes x11 straight Epanels.

Assembly
1. Connect one Bleft radius panel and one Cright
radius panel to an AY-panel. Connect and
tighten the turnbuckle (see diagram below).
2. Add the Dgate panel to an AY-panel, which
becomes the section located closest to the player
benches.
3. Attach the Bleft radius panel and Cright radius
panel to the second AY-panel. Place the board
across from the player bench.
4. Attach four Estraight panels to the Y section with
the gate. Add five straight Epanels to other Y
section, creating two halves.
5. When moving the rink divider halves, have
volunteers at the ends to keep the structure
together and in the middle to act as guides.
Once in position, connect the halves.
Disassembly
1. Split the rink divider into halves and move them
to the gate nearest the storage area.
2. Remove eight of the Estraight panels and place
first on the cart.
3. Next place the DGate panel followed by the last
Estraight panel on the cart.
4. Next place the Bleft radius panels and Cright
radius panels on the cart.
5. Place the AY-Panels on the cart in the triangular
open space between the Band Cradius panels
and the last Estraight panel.
