General
The custom-made hearing protection ear mould AUDIA Elacin CH protects your hearing from
harmful noise emissions whilst being comfortable to wear. It is intended for a service life of at least
two years.
Use
Check that the hearing protectors are clean before you use them. If necessary use an ear wax
remover(1 to clean ear wax out of the sound tube of the hearing protector. Note the red and
blue color marks on your hearing protectors: red = protector for the right ear; blue = protector
for the left ear. Your hearing specialist will be glad to demonstrate the correct way to insert
and remove the hearing protectors.

Insertion
Insertion may be less smooth at first use. Application of ear cream on the part of the hearing
protector that goes into the ear will improve ease of insertion. See picture on page 4.
Removal
Remove the hearing protector using a rotary forward motion. OR, alternatively, place your
index finger against the lower part of your ear and press upwards a number of times. The
earpiece is then slowly released from the ear. When it no longer seals you can safely remove it.
Maintenance
Clean your AUDIA Elacin CH hearing protectors regularly with a damp cloth. For a regular
and thorough cleaning of your custom-made hearing protectors, we advise you to use the
cleaning products of the manufacturer. These cleaning products help you to keep your hearing
protectors in the best possible shape and prolong the life-span. For further information, please
contact your hearing protection representative or your hearing care professional. Store the ear
protection device in the packaging provided when not in use.

Warning
··· ·Use AUDIA Elacin CH hearing protectors carefully in accordance with the instructions. If
the instructions above are not followed, the protection certainty of the hearing protectors
cannot be guaranteed.
··· ·Only enter the noise area with your individually customised ear protection device if you are
familiar with how to use the device and correct fit in the auditory canal has been ensured.
Ensure that you have been shown how to insert it correctly, e.g. by the manufacturer or
supplier of the hearing protection ear mould or your company doctor. At the beginning, it
can be easier to practice this using a mirror.
··· ·Use your AUDIA Elacin CH hearing protectors always in noisy situations! NOTE: the
protection is reduced substantially even if you only remove them for a very short period.
You will not be adequately protected if you fail to wear the hearing protectors at all times.
··· ·This product may be adversively affected by certain chemical substances. Further
information should be sought from the manufacturer.
··· ·If applicable: These hearing protectors should not be used where there is a risk that the
connecting cord could be caught up during use, for example, by a machine.
··· ·The hearing protection device must not be pulled out of the ear canal by the optional cord,
as this may damage your hearing protection device. To remove the device only hold on to
the protruding material at the ear canal entrance or the optional grip.
··· ·Sudden or fast removal of the hearing protectors out of the ear canal may damage the
ear drum.

··· ·The hearing protectors are custom-made and are therefore not transferable.
The hearing protectors are designed to be inserted in the hearing canal only.
··· ·We recommend that you replace your hearing protection device after four years at the
latest.
··· ·The greatest possible care is taken in the manufacturing of your AUDIA Elacin CH hearing
protectors. Immediately contact your supplier if you notice anything out of the ordinary.
··· ·Anatomical changes in the ear shape can negatively affect the seal of the ear moulds, e.g.
in cases of weight change or ear surgery. Safe protection is only ensured if the hearing
protection device ear mould is checked after delivery and thereafter at regular intervals of a
maximum of three years.
··· ·Please bear in mind that, when hearing protection is used, you will also hear signals in
your environment more quietly (e.g. warning signals and voice signals). In addition, the
regulations on the use of hearing protection in road traffic/track superstructure must be
observed.
··· ·The hearing protection device is made exclusively from biocompatible materials that
have been proven and tested over a number of years. However, if you do notice any issues,
remove the hearing protection device immediately and inform your doctor, specialist
advisor or supervisor.
··· ·Choking hazard for infants! The product, its components and packaging must be kept out of
the reach of children.
··· ·The product may not be modified or changed.

Algemeen
De comfortabele, op maat gemaakte AUDIA Elacin CH gehoorbescherming (otoplastiek) beschermt
uw gehoor tegen schadelijk lawaai. De otoplastiek is bedoeld voor een gebruiksduur van minstens
twee jaar.
Gebruik
Controleer vóór gebruik of de gehoorbeschermers schoon zijn. Verwijder zo nodig met een
cerumenpen(1 oorsmeer uit het geluidskanaal van de gehoorbeschermer. Besteed aandacht
aan de kleurcodering rood of blauw op uw gehoorbescherming: rood = gehoorbescherming
voor het rechteroor; blauw = gehoorbescherming voor het linker oor. Uw audicien kan u laten
zien hoe u de gehoorbeschermers inbrengt en weer uitneemt.

Inbrengen
Gehoorbeschermers gaan in het begin enigszins stroef in de gehoorgang. Het is dan
aan te bevelen om een klein beetje van de oorcrème aan te brengen op het deel van de
gehoorbeschermer wat in het oor wordt gedragen. Zie afbeelding op pagina 4.
Uitnemen
Verwijder de gehoorbeschermer met een draaiende beweging naar voren. OF Plaats uw
wijsvinger tegen het onderste deel van uw oor en duw dit een aantal maal naar boven. De
gehoorbeschermer komt dan langzaam los van het oor, waarna u het uitneemt.
Onderhoud
Reinig uw AUDIA Elacin CH gehoorbeschermers regelmatig met een vochtig doekje. Voor een
regelmatige en grondige reiniging van uw aangepaste gehoorbeschermers, adviseren wij u
gebruik te maken van de reinigingsproducten van de fabrikant. Deze reinigingsproducten
helpen u om uw gehoorbeschermers in de best mogelijke staat te houden en verlengen de
levensduur. Meer informatie verkrijgt u bij uw contactpersoon voor gehoorbescherming of uw
audicien. Bewaar de otoplastiek als hij niet wordt gebruikt in de meegeleverde verpakking.

··· ·Draag uw AUDIA Elacin CH gehoorbeschermers in lawaaisituaties zonder onderbreking!
··· ·Let op: ook als u ze voor zeer korte duur uitneemt, neemt de bescherming in belangrijke
mate af. U bent onvoldoende beschermd als u niet te allen tijde de gehoorbeschermers
draagt.
··· ·Stel uzelf pas aan lawaai bloot met de op maat gemaakte gehoorbescherming wanneer u
met het gebruik vertrouwd bent en de bescherming correct in de gehoorgang is geplaatst.
Het correct plaatsen kan worden gedemonstreerd door de fabrikant of producent van de
otoplastiek of door uw bedrijfsarts. In het begin is het eenvoudiger om voor de spiegel te
oefenen.
··· ·Het gebruik van chemische middelen kan uw AUDIA Elacin CH gehoorbeschermers
aantasten. Vraag uw leverancier om meer informatie.
··· ·Indien van toepassing: gebruik geen verbindingskoordje wanneer het risico aanwezig is dat
dit koordje aan bewegende (machine)delen kan blijven haken.
··· ·De gehoorbescherming mag niet aan het optionele koord uit de gehoorgang worden
getrokken, hierdoor kan uw gehoorbeschermer beschadigd raken. Pak voor het uitnemen de
gehoorbeschermer alleen vast bij het uitstekende gedeelte bij de opening van de gehoorgang
of bij het optionele grijpstuk.
··· ·Plotselinge of snelle verwijdering van de gehoorbeschermers uit de gehoorgang kan het
trommelvlies beschadigen.
Waarschuwing

··· ·De gehoorbeschermers zijn op maat gemaakt en daarom niet uitwisselbaar.
··· ·De gehoorbeschermers zijn zo ontworpen dat ze alleen in de gehoorgang kunnen worden
ingebracht.
··· ·Wij adviseren de gehoorbescherming na maximaal vier jaar te vervangen.
··· ·Uw AUDIA Elacin CH gehoorbeschermers zijn met de grootst mogelijke zorg ontwikkeld.
Neem meteen contact op met uw leverancier indien u iets ongebruikelijks opmerkt.
··· ·Anatomische veranderingen van de oorvorm kunnen afbreuk doen aan de afdichting van het
aan het oor aangepaste product, bijvoorbeeld bij gewichtsveranderingen of ooroperaties.
Een veilige bescherming wordt alleen bereikt wanneer de otoplastiek na de levering en
daarna regelmatig, maar minimaal om de drie jaar, wordt gecontroleerd.
··· ·Houd er rekening mee dat ook signaalgeluiden in uw omgeving (bijv. waarschuwingsgeluid
en gesproken signalen) worden gedempt. Daarnaast moeten de bepalingen voor het gebruik
van gehoorbescherming in het wegverkeer/spoorwegbovenbouw in acht worden genomen.
··· ·De gehoorbescherming wordt uitsluitend gemaakt van jarenlang beproefd, gecontroleerd
en biocompatibel materiaal. Verwijder de gehoorbescherming meteen wanneer u toch
problemen ondervindt en raadpleeg uw dokter, adviseur of leidinggevende.
··· ·Inslikgevaar bij kleine kinderen! Het product, de bestanddelen en de verpakking moeten
buiten het bereik van kinderen worden bewaard.
··· ·Het product mag niet worden gemodificeerd of gewijzigd.

Allgemeines
Die maßgefertigte Gehörschutzotoplastik AUDIA Elacin CH schützt auf komfortable Weise Ihr
Gehör vor schädlichem Lärm. Sie ist für eine Gebrauchsdauer von mindestens zwei Jahren
bestimmt.
Anwendung
Prüfen Sie vor Gebrauch, ob der Gehörschutz sauber ist. Wenn nötig, entfernen Sie mit einem
Cerumenstick1) das Ohrenschmalz aus dem Tonkanal des Gehörschutzes. Achten Sie auf
die Farbmarkierung rot bzw. blau an Ihrem Gehörschutz: rot = Gehörschutz für das rechte
Ohr; blau = Gehörschutz für das linke Ohr. Ihr Hörakustiker zeigt Ihnen gerne das korrekte
Einsetzen und Herausnehmen Ihres Gehörschutzes.
(1 Cerumensticks sind gesondert erhältlich. Erkundigen Sie sich bitte bei Ihrem Hörakustiker.
ACHTUNG: Lesen Sie vor der Verwendung die Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig durch.
