2. CONNECTION
The monitoring panel is a control centre used to monitor up to 20 lanes connected to the network no
matter where they are located in the building. The panel has the following functionalities, among others:
automatic detection of lanes on the network, lane status visualization, operating mode configuration and
parameter configuration.
The interface is Web-based.
The monitoring panel is available in PC Server versions ("Tower" or "Rack"):
That version combines the centralized server and its supervision software, accessible with a simple web
browser (1) from anyone informatics terminal connected to the same network than the devices.
"Tower" version
"Rack" version
The Server version includes a centralized server and its supervision software, which are
accessible via a Web browser(1) from any computer (2) connected to the same network as the
lanes.
(1) The server is accessible through max 2 external browsers (i.e. installed and operating within 2 PC connected to the
server) or max 1 internal browser (i.e. installed in the server itself which is then only connected to a screen and keypad).
(2)The minimum PC configuration must include and support the installation of one of the following browsers:
Firefox ≥ v7
Chrome ≥ v11
Safari ≥ v5
Opera ≥ v11
Netscape ≥ v7
Internet Explorer ≥ v8
In case of display problem with Internet Explorer:
oIn Tools menu, deselect the option "Compatibility view".
oIn Tools menu\Compatibility View Settings, deselect the option "Display intranet sites in compatibility view".
oPress F5 key to refresh web page.

2.2. Connection steps
Note: IT networks knowledge is necessary to fulfill the following:
1. Connect the lanes to the network:
according to the principle described in the previous chapter,
according to the instructions given in the lane manual (available connector type, location
and setting),
during lane installation (to pass the cables)!
For information:
1.The master housing of each lane is equipped with a RJ45 Ethernet port (*).
(*) If the SmartLane are equipped with the IP interface for SmartLane 9xx option (= Ethernet/RS232 converter),
necessary for linking to the supervision panel.
(*) If the SL93x and PPV gates are equipped with the IP interface for SL93x/PPV option (= specific CPU board
n°25), necessary for linking to the supervision panel.
2. Foresee 1 Ethernet link cable per lane, except for 2 SL93x or PPV facing each other and
opening simultaneously, for which both housings must be connected to the supervision
panel.
2. Set the lanes on the network (IP address, etc.).
SlimLane refer to the gate Maintenance Interface manual.
SL93x + PPV323 refer to the Maintenance Interface chapter in the gate manual.
SmartLane CE refer to the MOXA module configuration procedure.
SmartLane UL refer to the procedure established by Automatic Systems America.
SmartLane 935 refer to the WAGO module configuration procedure.
3. Connect the Smart n' Slim server to the network by means of one of the 2 available ports
(PORT 1 & 2, adjustable through NETWORK SETTINGS page).
The most common procedure is the following:
Connect a PC to PORT 1 of the server (IP address 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask
255.255.255) or connect a screen + keypad to the server.
Connect to supervisor (LOGIN page).
Set PORT 0 of the server for the same network than the gates (IP address 192.168.0.2,
subnet mask 255.255.255 and default gateway 192.168.0.2) by means of SYSTEM >NETWORK
SETTINGS page.
Disconnect the PC / screen and connect the server to the network by means of LAN1
port.
4. Connect to the supervisor (LOGIN page).
5. Add the new lanes to the supervisor and assign them to a group (LANE MANAGEMENT page).
6. Configure the lanes (OPERATING MODES page).

When this button is pressed, all lanes of the site to which the user has
access (i.e., the lanes displayed in area ) switch to evacuation mode.
The obstacles open and remain open to allow free passage through the
lane in both directions.
Note: This button can be used by all users no matter what their access
level and can even be pressed from the myGroup and myGate screens.
In all cases, the emergency stop is activated for the entire site.
This operating mode has priority over all other modes.

on the network to which the user has access (see LOGIN). All groups are
displayed for Administrator-level users, as opposed to only the groups
authorized for users with other access levels.
In the figure above, the site is composed of 3 groups of 2 lanes each.
A group flashes (based on the color code defined in Help ) when an
event occurs in at least one of the lanes in that group.
- Red a major error is detected in at least one lane of the group.
- Orange a minor error is detected in at least one lane of the
group.
- Yellow an alarm was triggered on at least one lane of the group.
The upper left and upper right corners of a group indicate the number of
alarms and errors for that group, respectively.
