Introduction
This Bigeye Technical Manual describes in depth the technical specifications,
dimensions, all pixel formats, bandwidth and frame rate related subjects.
Document history
Manual overview
This manual overview outlines the contents of each chapter of this manual.
•ChapterContacting Allied Vision Technologies on page 5 lists AVT contact
data (phone numbers and URLs) for both:
– Technical information / ordering
– Commercial information
•ChapterIntroduction on page 6 (this chapter) gives you the document his-
tory, a manual overview (short description of each chapter) and conven-
tions used in this manual (styles and symbols).
•ChapterConformity on page 9 gives you information about conformity of
AVT cameras (CE, RoHS).
•ChapterSpecifications on page 10 lists camera details and measured spec-
tral sensitivity diagrams for each camera type.
•ChapterCamera dimensions on page 21 provides CAD drawings of stan-
dard housing models, tripod adapter.
•ChapterCamera interfaces on page 29 describes in general the inputs/
outputs of the cameras (incl. trigger features).
Note
Please read through this manual carefully.
We assume that you have read already the How to install a GigE
camera (Bigeye/Pearleye/Goldeye) and that you have
installed the hardware and software on your PC or laptop (GigE
