includinga2TBora4TBharddrive.

Important
Youmustrstconnectthepowercordtotherecorder,andthenconnectthepowercordtothepoweroutlet.
6.Waitafewminutesfortherecorderandcamerastobootupbeforeproceeding.
CAUTION
Keeptherecorderinawellventilatedenvironmentandwithplentofemptspacearoundtherecordertoavoidoverheating.

1.Gotoaxis.com/products/axis-companionandclickownloadtodownloadtheAXISCompaniondesktopappforWindows.
2.SigninusingourMyAxisaccount.
3.Readthelicenseagreement,andselectoneofthealternativestoproceed.
4.Savetheletoalocationofourchoice.
5.Openthele,andclickRuntostarttheinstallation.
6.Ifouwanttoallowtheapptomakechangesonourdevice,clickYes.
7.SelectlanguageandclickOK.

Ahardresetwillremovethesavedencrptionpasswordfortheharddrive.Failuretoremembertheencrptionpasswordfor
anencrptedharddrivewillresultinpermanentlossofallrecordings.
Note
Ahardresetwillresetallthesettings,includingtheIPaddress.
1.Switchofftherecorder:
Pressthepowerbuttononthefrontoftherecorderfor4-5secondsuntilouhearabeep.
2.Waituntiltherecorderisswitchedoff,thenturnitovertoaccessthecontrolbutton.
3.Pressandholdthecontrolbutton.Pressandreleasethepowerbuttontostarttherecorder.Releasethecontrolbutton
after15-30secondswhentheLEDindicatorashesamber.
4.Slowlputtherecorderbackinitsplace.
5.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenresettothefactordefault
settings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90
6.Resetourcamerasconnectedtotherecorder.See.
7.Ifourharddriveisencrpted,thenitmustbemountedmanuallaftertherecorderisreset:
7.1Gotothedevicewebpage.
7.2GotoSystem>StorageandclickMount.
7.3Entertheencrptionpasswordusedwhenencrptingtheharddrive.
Ican'tlogintotheproduct'swebpage
Ifousetapasswordfortheproductduringconguration,andlateraddthatproducttoasite,oucannolongerlogintothe
product'swebpagewiththepasswordou'veset.ThisisbecauseAXISCompanionsoftwarechangesthepasswordsofalldevicesin
thesite.
Tologintoadeviceinoursite,tpetheusernamerootandoursitepassword.

1.Gotothedevicewebpage>System>Storage.
2.SelectFormatandclickUsetool.
Note
Thisprocedureerasesallrecordingsfromtheharddrive,butthecongurationoftherecorderandthesitedoesn’tchange.
