Read this instruction manual before installing the Dallas child restraint in your
vehicle.
Thank you for choosing an Axkid child seat. Our team has over 30 years combined
experience within child safety, and we have done our utmost to make the Dallas child
seat as safe as possible. The Dallas child restraint is approved according to ECE
R44/04, the latest European standards for child safety. To maximise your child’s safety
it is important that you keep the following in mind;

Read this instruction manual carefully before installing the Dallas child restraint.
If in doubt, contact your retailer who can demonstrate a correct installation. An
incorrect installation could endanger your child.
The seat is ONLY to be used forward facing and for children weighing between
15 and 36kg.
The child car seat must only be used in vehicles which are tted with a three
point seat belt system that has been approved by regulation ECE-16 or similar.
Do not use a child restraint in a seating position where an active airbag is tted. If
you still wish to install the Dallas in this location the airbag must be disconnected
at an authorised service centre. Some vehicles may be equipped with a switch
which allows you to manually switch the airbag o. It is important to always
check if the vehicle’s indicator light shows that the airbag is turned o.
DO NOT use anything such as a cushion or coat to raise the Dallas o the
passenger seat. In the event of an accident, the Dallas and the vehicle seat belts
will not be able to protect your child as well as they should.
Never leave your child unattended in the car.
All passengers must be secured in their seats using a safety belt.

Ensure all passengers know how to release your child in case of an emergency.
Ensure the Dallas does not become trapped by any moveable seats or doors
within the vehicle.
Should you have an accident, no matter how small, your child restraint should
be replaced. It may have damage that is undetectable and could seriously
jeopardize your child’s safety. For this reason Axkid do not recommend
purchasing second hand child restraints.
To prevent injury due to deterioration, discontinue using a child seat if it is older
than six years or has been in a crash.
DO NOT not attempt to use any part of this seat with any other child seat.
Ensure any luggage or loose objects (e.g. books, bags etc) are secured in your
vehicle as they may cause injuries to passengers in the event of a collision.
DO NOT (except where described in this booklet), attempt to disassemble or
modify this child car seat or change the way the vehicle’s seat belts are used.
DO NOT use the Dallas in the home, or any other non-certied location - it has
only been designed to be used in a car.
Ensure that the Dallas is secured to a car seat at all times - even when not in use.
DO NOT leave a folded down vehicle seat unsecured. In the event of a sudden
stop, a loose seat back could cause the child seat to not perform as intended.
Child car seats can mark vehicle seat upholstery. The manufacturer cannot be
held responsible for damage or marking to vehicle seats.
The following situations could be illegal and will void the warranty:
a) Any modications or change of use of the child car seat that have not been
authorised or advised by the manufacturer. b) Any failure to t the child car seat
in strict accordance with the instructions. The manufacturer accepts no liability
for issues arising from unauthorised modications, uses or tting.
Please keep this manual safe for any possible queries you may have in the
future.

Notices
1. This is a “Universal” child restraint. It is approved to Regulation No. 44 04
series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will t most, but not
all, car seats.
2. A correct t is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle
handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint
for this age group.
3. This child restraint has been classied as “Universal” under more stringent
conditions than those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry this
notice.
4. If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the retailer.

The Dallas child restraint is suitable for use from approximately four years of age up
until the age of twelve. This child restraint can ONLY be installed forward-facing.

Never install a child restraint in a passenger seat where

Place the child seat so that it rests at against the vehicle seat back.
Check that the backrest is at against the vehicle seat and if the vehicle’s seat back is
adjustable, ensureitisinthe uprightposition.
Place the seat base (G) on the oor. Line up the hooked hinge end of the backrest (i)
withtheslotatthebackoftheseatbaseandpushthehookedend intotheslot.
Whilstensuringthehooked enddoesnotcomeoutoftheslot,hingethebackrest
upwardsuntilit“clicks”into place.
WARNING: Keepchildrenaway andavoidtrappinganything inthehinged areawhilst
attaching thebackrestandseatbase.

Reclining the vehicle seat may adversely aect the position of the vehicle seat
belt acrossthechildand mayresultindeathorseriousinjuryduring acrash.Refer
toyourvehicleowner’s manualfor adjusting thevehicle seat backwithchild
seats.
Placeyourchildintheseatandcheckthe headrestisat the correctheight.
Theshoulder beltguidesshouldbelevel withyour child’s shoulders.Iftheguidesaretoohigh
ortoolowthenyouwillneedtoadjusttheheadrestheightasdescribedinthenextstep.
Toadjust theheight of thechildcar seat, squeezetheadjustment handle(H)onthe
backoftheheadrestandmovetheheadrestupordowntooneofitssevenpositions.
Once theright heightisfound, releasethehandle andchecktheheadresttoensure itis
locked into position.
IMPORTANT: NEVER place your child in the car seat whilst it is not tted in a car. The child
car seatshould neverbeusedfree-standingasit maytipbackwards.

Holding theseat basewithonehandandthe backrest withyourother freehand, push
thebackrestawayfromyoutowardstheground.
Once the backrest is at against the oor remove the backrest from the seat base (G).
Pull out the ap of material from between the seat base fabric and seat base shell . Wrap
the ap over the back of the seat base, securing it to the underside of the shell with
pressstud (i).
Positionthebooster seat onasuitablepassengerseat,ensuringitis pushedback
againstthevehicleseatback.
Placeyourchildonthe boosterseatandlockthe vehicle seat beltinto thebuckleensuringit
“CLICKS”into place.
Slotthevehicleseatbelt’s shoulderstrapthroughtheshoulderbeltguide(B)andplace
the lapbeltunderthearmrest(F).
Lockthevehicleseat belt intothebuckle ensuring it “CLICKS”intoplace.
IMPORTANT: Make sure theseat beltisnottwisted andthat thelapbeltiswornlow
overthehips.
Check that thelapbeltpassesunderthearmrestsand overtheredlapbeltguides(C)onboth
sidesoftheseat.
Check that theshoulderbeltpassesthrough theshoulderbeltguide(B)thendiagonally
acrossthechild’s chestand overthetopofthearmrestnearesttotheseatbeltbuckle.
Finally, checkthatallslackhasbeenremovedfromtheseatbeltandthatyour childisnow
secure.
IMPORTANT: Theseatbeltbuckle shouldNOT foul, jamorwedgeitselfunderthe
armrestasshown.
WARNING: An unoccupied child car seat should be secured using a 3-point seat belt
or stored safely in the boot.

IMPORTANT: Make sure theseat beltisnottwisted andthat thelapbeltiswornlowoverthe
hips.
Check that thelapbeltpassesunderthearmrestsand overtheredlapbeltguides(C)onboth
sides of theseat.
Check that theshoulderbeltpassesover your child’s shoulderthenrunsdiagonallyacross
their chest andoverthetopofthearmrestnearest to theseatbeltbuckle.Theshoulderbelt
should NOT lieacross your child’s neck.
Finally, checkthatallslackhasbeenremovedfromtheseatbeltandthatyour childisnow
secure.
IMPORTANT: Theseatbeltbuckle shouldNOT foul, jamorwedgeitselfunderthe
armrestasshown.
WARNING: An unoccupied child car seat should be secured using a 3-point seat belt
or stored safely in the boot.

Theseatcover isasafetyfeature. Neveruse thechildcarseatwithout its cover.
Beforestarting:raise theheadrestup(thiswillallowmore roomtowork).
Startingwith theheadrestcover:unfastenthetwopress studs (i)andremovetheelastic
loops (ii)fromtheir hooksand remove theheadcover.
Backrest cover:unfastenthethree pressstuds(i)andremovethecover.
Seatbasecover: unfasten thepress studs (i)ontheundersideoftheseatbase and
removethecover.
To ret the seat covers: reverse the above steps.

Care And Maintenance
The seat cover is removable and should be hand washed at 30º C. Do not put the
cover in a dryer as this can damage the cover and the padding may separate from
the fabric. See the seat cover for full instructions.
Any plastic parts of Dallas can be cleaned with mild detergent and water. Do not
use aggressive chemicals containing solvents etc, as this can cause damage to
the plastic and compromise the safety of the child restraint.
All materials used in the Dallas child restraint are recyclable and should be recycled
as per your local legislation. Ask your local recycling centre for advice when
recycling this product.
Do not make any modications or alterations to the Dallas child restraint other than
those described in this instruction manual. Follow the instructions in this manual
carefully. Any repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer or agent.
If the seat cover needs replacing ensure only original products from Axon Kids are
used. If other products are used the Dallas’s safety system may be compromised
and could lead to severe injury or death in case of an accident.
All materials used have a very high UV-resistance rating. However, UV-light is very
aggressive and will ultimately lead to fading of the seat cover. This is not covered by
our warranty as it is considered normal wear and tear.
Warranty
The Dallas child restraint is covered by a 24 month warranty from date of
purchase. Ensure you save your receipt and bring it to your place of purchase
should you have any warranty issues. The warranty does not cover:
* Normal wear and tear
* Damage due to incorrect use, neglect or accident
* If repairs have been carried out by a third party

Bilbarnstolen är ENDAST avsedd att användas framåtvänd och för barn mellan

Bilbarnstolen får endast användas i bilar med trepunktsbälte som är godkänt

Montera aldrig bilbarnstolen på ett säte med aktiv airbag. Om du ändå vill
montera Dallas på platsen måste du koppla ur airbagen hos en auktoriserad

ANVÄND INTE något för att höja upp Dallas från passagerarsätet, t.ex.

säkerhetsbältet så som de ska.
Lämna aldrig barnet utan uppsikt i bilen.
Alla passagerare måste använda säkerhetsbälte.

Se till att alla passagerare vet hur man lossar barnet från stolen vid en eventuell
olycka.
Se till att Dallas inte kläms av yttbara säten eller dörrar inne i bilen.
Bilbarnstolen ska bytas ut om den varit med om en olycka, oavsett hur liten
olyckan än är. Bilbarnstolen kan ha fått osynliga skador som allvarligt påverkar
barnets säkerhet. Därför avråder Axkid alltid från att köpa en begagnad
bilbarnstol.
För att förhindra skador till följd av att bilbarnstolens skick försämrats ska den
inte användas längre än sex år eller om den har varit med om en olycka.
Försök INTE byta ut någon del av bilbarnstolen mot delar från en annan bilbarnstol.
Se till att eventuellt bagage och lösa föremål (böcker, väskor m.m.) är ordentligt
fästa i bilen eftersom de kan orsaka personskada vid en kollision.
Försök INTE (utöver vad som beskrivs i denna instruktionsbok) att plocka isär
eller göra ändringar på bilbarnstolen eller använda säkerhetsbältet på annat
sätt än vad som beskrivs här.
Använd INTE bilbarnstolen i hemmet, den är utformad för att användas i bil.
Se till att bilbarnstolen alltid är fäst i bilsätet – även när den inte används.
Låt INTE en hopvikt bilbarnstol åka med lös i bilen. Vid ett plötsligt stopp kan en
lös sätesrygg leda till att bilbarnstolen inte fungerar som det är tänkt.
Bilbarnstolar kan lämna märken på bilklädseln. Tillverkaren kan inte hållas
ansvarig för skador eller märken på bilsäten.
