Owner’s Manual in the vehicle for ready reference.
Ø The recommended routine maintenance servicing should be entrusted to Distributor Workshop to
ensure that only latest methods and genuine BAL parts are used for the continued reliability, safety and
performance of the vehicle.

A prerequisite for perfect operation and prevention of premature wear is that the service, care, and tuning
work on the engine and chassis is properly carried out as described in the Owner's Manual. Incorrect
adjustment and tuning of the engine and chassis can lead to damage and breakage of components.
Use of the vehicle under difficult conditions, such in rain, high heat or with a heavy load, can lead to
considerably more rapid wear of components such as the drive train, brake system, or suspension
components. For this reason, it may be necessary to inspect or replace parts before the next scheduled
service.
It is imperative that you adhere to the stipulated run-in times and service intervals. If you observe these
exactly, you will ensure a much longer service life for your Qute.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Ø Bajaj Qute is designed and constructed to meet the normal demands of regular road operation but not
for use on race courses or offroad.
Ø The vehicle must only be used as intended.
ØDangers can arise for people, property and the environment through use not as intended.
ØAny use of the vehicle beyond the intended and defined use constitutes misuse.
ØMisuse also includes the use of auxiliary fluids which do not meet the required specification for the
respective use.

Kindly read this Owner's Manual before driving to familiarize yourself with the mechanism and controls of the
vehicle.

1B. TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT
BAL is committed to produce Bajaj Qute using environmentally sustainable technology. Many features have
been incorporated in this vehicle which have been designed to ensure environmental compatibility
throughout the life cycle of the vehicle. We would like to inform you that this vehicle meets emission norms
and this is being regularly validated at the manufacturing stages.
As a user you too can protect the environment by operating your vehicle in a proactive manner. A lot
depends on driving style and the way of maintenance of Vehicle. We have given few tips for your guidance
on Driving & Maintenance of vehicle in this manual.
To protect environment.....
ØGet vehicle checked for emission periodically.
ØSwitch off the engine during long stops at traffic jams or signals.
ØMonitor & maintain the fuel consumption regularly.
ØAvoid frequent and violent accelerations and braking.
ØAvoid using devices requiring high power consumption in slow city traffic condition.
ØShift to higher gears as soon as possible without overloading.
ØEnsure that recommended maintenance is carried out regularly.
ØAs soon as you see any leakages of oil, fuel or coolant, stop the vehicle & get the leakage checked &
rectified.
ØDo not pour used oils or coolants into the sewage drains, garden soil or open streams.

The Chassis and Engine serial numbers are used to register the vehicle. They are the only
means of identifying your particular vehicle from other vehicles of the same model and type.

MANUAL DOOR & LOCKS
• All 4 doors can be opened from inside/outside by pulling the door latch as shown in Figure: a.
• All the doors can also be locked or unlocked independently from inside by rotating the knob in
anticlockwise and clockwise as shown in Figure: c and d.
• To lock/unlock driver side door, insert the key and rotate it clockwise or anticlockwise respectively for LHD
vehicles.
• To lock/unlock driver side door, insert the key and rotate it anticlockwise or clockwise respectively for
RHD vehicles.
Warning:
- Ensure rotary knobs are in position during vehicle running.
- During vehicle movement, Passengers(especially children) can accidently open the doors which can
be dangerous. hence it is suggested that all passengers wear seat belts properly & also ensure door is
locked while vehicle is driven.

2A-2. ENGINE BAY COVER & FUEL FILLING FLAP
a. Engine bay cover with lock :
Engine is mounted in engine bay at the rear of the vehicle underneath rear passenger seat. An engine bay
cover with locking provision is provided to cover the engine.
To access engine, open engine bay cover. To unlock or lock the bay cover, insert key & rotate it clockwise
or anticlockwise respectively
b. Fuel filling flap with lock:
Fuel Tank is mounted on rear RH side inside the engine cabin, A provision is made for fuel filling at rear RH
side of vehicle. It is covered by flap with lock. For filling fuel in tank, unlock & open the flap.
To unlock or lock the flap, insert key & rotate it clockwise or anticlockwise respectively.
Remove the fuel cap by rotating it in anti- clockwise direction.
After filling the fuel in tank fit the fuel cap by rotating it in clockwise direction.
Warning:
- Ensure that fuel cap is fitted properly.
- Do not allow fuel to enter ground water, the soil or the sewage system.

2B-1. LUGGAGE STORAGE SPACE:
a. Luggage carrier:
It is located on the roof of the vehicle. The load carrying capacity is 30 kg max.
Danger:
Never carry objects longer or wider than your roof carrier.
b. Front luggage box:
The front luggage box is located underneath the front hood. The load carrying capacity is 20 kg max.
Use key to unlock the front bonnet. To Unlock or lock the front bonnet, insert key and rotate it
clockwise or anticlockwise respectively.
c. Utility pockets (Accessory):
Utility pockets are provided on all the doors which can be used to keep magazines, books, etc.

2B-2. UTILITY STORAGE SPACE:

a. Utility storage:
A small storage area is below front seat (fig.a) & more storage area behind rear seat (fig.b). Additional
storage space can created by folding rear seat (60:40) as per requirement
b. Glove box LH:
It is located on LH side of dashboard.
c. Glove box RH:
It is located on RH side of dashboard.
Danger :
- Do not place over size or large objects in glove box as it can interfere with the steering wheel
movement.
- Do not carry / store inflammable liquids in any of the utility / luggage storage spaces.

2C. WEATHER PROTECTION
a. Rear Windshield:
Rear Windshield is at rear end of vehicle. It is having a fixed toughened transparent glass for
clear visibility, safety of the Occupants and weather protection.
b. Front Windshield:
Large Windshield is provided at front of vehicle. It is laminated for safety and good visibility.
Warning:
Do not use cleaning solvents like Gasoline, Kerosene, Paint Thinners or Silicone-based
chemicals on front windshield or rear wind shield as it can result in impaired visibility.

Mirrors:
a. IRVM-
Inner rear view mirror is provided inside the cabin and fitted to windshield.
It can be manually adjusted to suit Driver’s convenience.
Warning:
Angling the IRVM to reduce rear vehicle headlamp glare will hamper rear visibility.
b. ORVM-
Outside rear view mirror is fitted onto the doors. These can be adjusted manually to suit Driver’s
convenience.
Note:
Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.
Warning:
IRVM should be adjusted only when the vehicle is stationary and before commencement of drive.

a. Front seats:
Two front seats are provided, Driver Seat & Co- driver seat. Driver seat is adjustable in forward
& backward directions.
b. Moving the Driver seat forward & backward:
To adjust the driver seat position, lift the track lever (1) under the front driver seat cushion, then
slide the seat (forward/backward) to the desired position. Once the desired position is achieved
release the track lever to lock the seat. Make sure the seat is locked in its position by further
trying to move the seat. If the seat does not move, it indicates seat is locked.
Danger:
Driver seat should be adjusted only when the vehicle is stationary and before
commencement of drive.
