CHECKING BEFORE INSTALLATION
Before doing the installation is suggested to do the following
operations:
The structure of the gate must be sturdy and appropriate;
During the run, the gate don’t have to present too much sideways
slide skids.
The system of wheels/lower rail and roller upper runner must work
without too many frictions;
To avoid the gate derailment, is necessary to install the stop beats
of the sliding, whether at the opening or the closing, and a second
roller/runner in full observance of the current law.
Remove the manual lock in the before hands gates;
Put on the bottom of the gate the feed raceway of the feeding
cables (025-50mm) and of external connection (photocell, blinker,
key selector, etc.)
PROGET is responsible only of the products that produce and
commercialize. The gate when automate, becomes a machinery and
so is subjected to the Machinery Normative. Therefore is duty of the
installer to verify the safety of the whole installation.
WARNING: PROGET in not responsible for damages to persons,
animals or objects caused by modifications done without permission,
to his products.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
This equipment is exclusively intended for the usage it was
conceived, any other kind of usage is to be considered improper
and therefore dangerous.
The installation and the maintenance (every 6 months) of the
product have to be carry out only by specialized staff according to
the current laws.
The feeding voltage has to be supplied from an efficient
differential pushbutton, which has to be tested and settled
according to the current laws and also a suitable external
independent disconnecting switch, which has to be adjusted on
the current charge.
Throughout the installation procedure the board has to be switch
off.
The disposition of materials has to be done in accordance with the
current laws.
Adopt all the precautions to integrate the safety of the gate in
accordance with the current laws.
Choose the shortest ways for the cables and keep power cables
away from the control ones.
Before the installation assure that there is the stopping beat of the
gate.
For the adjustment of the maximum torque of the gear motor,
follow the current laws.
According to the European laws on security, we suggest to
connect an external pushbutton for switching off the feeding
during maintenance on the gate.
Verify that all the installed devices are effective and efficient.

an automatic gate
Please remember that we are in the presence of an automatic device
fed with electric energy, therefore use it with all the precautions. In
particular we exhort:
Don’t touch the device with wet hands and/or with wet or naked
feet;
Cut the energy before opening the command box and/or the
motor;
Don’t pull the feeding cable to disconnect the plug;
Command the motorized gate only when it is completely visible;
Stay out of the action range of the gate, if this is in motion: wait
until it’s completely stopped;
Don’t let the children or the animals play in the proximity of the
gate;
Don’t let the children use the radio-control or other command
devices of the gate;
Do a periodical maintenance;
In case of damage, cut the energy and move the gate manually
only if it is possible and safe.
Avoid any self-made intervention but call specialized stuff.

The no observance of the described notes could cause damages to persons, animals or objects.
In such case the producer can’t be considered responsible.
INSTALLATION
1. Do an excavation for the foundation plate, fix the anchors
to the plate by the furnished screws. (Fig 3).
NOTE: fix the plate to the concrete, keeping attention to
position at 65 mm from the gate (Fig 4).
2. Place flexible pipes necessary for the passage of electrical
connection cables. Flexible pipes should exceed at least 3
cm from the hole on the plate. (fig 3).
3. Cement in perfect plane the plate.
4. Wait till the cement has dried up.
5. Place the cables for the connection between accessories
and electrical feeding. (fig 2).
6. Fix the motor on the foundation plate by his screws.
Pass throw the hole on the plate the cables for the electrical
connection.

FIXING OF THE RAK
1. Set the rack with screws TE 8 x 25 and spacing bars.
NOTE: it is suggestible to close the screws of the rack in
the upper part of the buttonhole. This position allows to
adjust the rack when the motor, in the time, will lower.
2. Unlock the motor.
3. Move manually the leaf in an opening position.
4. Place the rack over the pinion in correspondence of the
first spacing bar.
5. Fix the rack element to the leaf with a clip.
6. Manually move the leaf in closing till the third spacing bar
of the rack and sold it.
7. Sold definitively the 3 spacing bars on the gate.
8. Bring near another rack element to last fixed, using a piece
of rack if 150mm, in order to put in phase the 2 elements.
9. Manually move the leaf in closing till reaching the
correspondence with the pinion.
NOTE: Check that all the elements of the rack works with the
centre of the tooth’s of the pinion.
10. Sold the 3 spacing bars of the element. los tres
distanciadores del elemento.
11. In order to obtain the right slack between rack and pinon,
lower the gear of 1.5mm moving the screws of the
foundation plate. At the end of such regulation, close the
fixing screws.
Manually check that the gate is free to completely open and that the
movement of the leaf is regular and without frictions

PLACING OF PLATES FOR MAGNETICAL LIMIT SWITCHES
1. Plate L.S. in closing (Fig 6). Position the gate in complete
closing, place the magnet at the centre of the buttonhole
and sold it to the rack in central direction of the group “Limit
switch”.
2. Plate L.S. in opening (Fig 7). Position the gate in complete
opening, place the magnet at the centre of the buttonhole
and sold it to the rack in central direction of the group “Limit
switch”.
PLACING OF PLATES FOR MECHANICAL LIMIT SWITCHES
1. Plate L.S. in closing (Fig 9). Position the gate in complete
closing and sold the stirrups at the centre of the group limit
switches. Therefore fix the slide in the appropriate plate
hole. (Fig 8).
2. Plate L.S. in opening (Fig 9). Position the gate in complete
opening and sold the stirrups at the centre of the group
limit switches. Therefore fix the slide in the appropriate
plate hole. (Fig 8). (Fig 8).
USAGE
It is forbidden to use the motor for different purposes. The control
panel installed, that must have the electronic power regulation, allows
to select the functioning:
AUTOMATIC: an impulse of command executes the opening and
the closing of the gate;
SEMI-AUTOMATIC: an impulse of command execute the opening
or the closing of the gate.
In case of energy lack, act on the manual unlocking device and move
the gate manually. Please remember that we are in the presence of
an automatic device feed with electric energy so therefore used with
all the precaution. In particular is exhorted to:

MAINTENANCE
The motor gear MC4 is provided by a permanent lubrication with
grease so it doesn’t need of any maintenance: nevertheless his good
functioning depends also to the state of the gate, therefore we will
describe some operations in order to have always an efficient gate.
Warning: none apart the maintainer, that must be a specialized
technicians, could operate the gate in automatic during the
maintenance. It is suggested therefore to cut electric energy, avoiding
also electric shocks. If, otherwise, the energy must be present for any
possible need, is recommended to check or deactivate any command
device (remote controls, pushbuttons, etc).
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE: Each one of the following operations
must be done when we realize the need and in any case every 6
months.
1) Mechanic maintenance
Clean from debris the rail ant the relatives wheels;
Check the good functioning of the motor and the relative plate;
do an unlocking maneuver in order to be sure that the
mechanism will always be efficient.
2) Electric maintenance
Check the good state of the safety devices;;
Check the efficiency of the electronic power regulation
Check the efficiency of the ground system. Test the differential
switch one time per month, pushing the test button on the
switch.
USAGE OF THE MANUAL RELEASE
In case it necessary to manually move the gate, cause a black
out or damages to the automation, it is necessary to use the
manual release system, as follows:
Open the cover using the personalized key and pull down the lever.
To lock again the system, put the lever in the original position and lock
the cover with the key.
