This manual describes how to handle this product and make adjustments.
Please be sure to carefully read and fully understand the owner’s manual and this manual before
use.
This machine was shipped after a thorough inspection. However, the performance of the machine is
greatly affected by handling and daily maintenance, such as inspection and adjustments before and
after operation. Please handle this machine properly and perform necessary inspection and
adjustments before and after operation in order for the product to fulfill its original function and
ensure safe operation.
For operation and inspection, refer to the owner’s manual. For necessary parts, refer to the parts
catalogue.

1. Before installation, removal, adjustments, etc., park the machine on a level surface. Set the parking brake,
stop the engine, and remove the key. Ensure that all the parts have come to a complete stop.
2. Keep your hands and feet away from moving parts. Avoid performing work with the engine running. Keep
other people away from the machine during work.
3. If necessary, use appropriate chain blocks, hoists, or a jack. If the machine is lifted up, ensure that it is
supported by jack stands or appropriate blocks.
4. When replacing parts or installing accessory parts, use genuine BARONESS parts.
5. Never start the engine in a closed room. Doing so could cause carbon monoxide poisoning.

Use jack stands etc. to support the machine securely when jacking up required.

Chock the front tire so that the vehicle will not move.
Securely place the jack beneath the jack-up point indicated
by the arrow, and then raise it until the tire lifts off the
ground.
前輪に輪止めをして本機が動かないようにしてくださ
い。
矢印のジャッキアップポイントにジャッキを確実にか
け、タイヤが浮くまで本機を上げてください。
Secure the vehicle with the other means than a jack, in order
to prevent it from falling.
ジャッキ以外の手段で、本体が下がらない処置をして
ください。

Remove the cotter pin (E), pin (C) and washer (D), and then
remove the brake wire (B) from the brake lever (A).
Loosen the bolts M12 (G) and washers (H) securing the
brake mounting plate (F). (Do not remove the bolts.)
割ピン(E)、ピン(C)およびワッシャ(D)を取外し、ブ
レーキワイヤ(B)をブレーキレバー(A)から取外してく
ださい。
ブレーキ取付け板(F)を固定している 12 ボルト(G)お
よびワッシャ(H)を緩めてください。（ボルトは取外さ
ない）

Loosen the left and right bolts M12 (A) and washers (B).
(Do not remove the bolts.)
While holding the left and right wheel mounting plates (C),
remove the left and right bolts M12 (A) and washers (B).
Remove the wheel in the direction of the arrow.
左右の 12 ボルト(A)およびワッシャ(B)を緩めてくだ
さい。（ボルトは取外さない）
左右のタイヤ取付け板(C)を保持しながら、左右の 12
ボルト(A)およびワッシャ(B)を取外してください。
矢印の方向にホイールを取外してください。

Reverse the removing procedure to install the wheel
mounting plates (A) of the rear wheel part Assy (3WD) (1)
onto the vehicle.
Be careful not to damage the solenoid valve (B).
3WD 後輪部 Assy (1)のタイヤ取付け板(A)を、取外し
た逆の手順で本体に取付けます。
ソレノイドバルブ(B)を傷付けないように、十分に注
意してください。

While holding the left and right wheel mounting plates (A)
upward, move the rear wheel part Assy (3WD) (C) in the
direction of the arrow.
Install the wheel mounting plates (A) onto the rear wheel
arm (B) with the bolts M12 (8) and spring washers (9).
左右のタイヤ取付け板(A)を上方向に保持しながら、
矢印の方向に 3WD 後輪部 Assy(C)を移動します。
12 ボルト(8)および Sワッシャ(9)でタイヤ取付け板
(A)を後輪アーム(B)に取付けてください。

Align the screw holes in the brake mounting plate (B) with
the screw holes in the rear wheel arm (A), and then install
the bolts M12 (8) and spring washers (9).
Tighten the bolts M12 (8) on both sides.
Align the hole in the brake lever (C) with the hole in the
brake wire (G).
Install the pin (D) and washer (E), and then secure with the
cotter pin (F).
後輪アーム(A)のネジ穴にブレーキ取付け板(B)のネジ
穴を合わせ、12 ボルト(8)および Sワッシャ(9)を取付
けてください。
両側の 12 ボルト(8)を締付けてください。
ブレーキレバー(C)の穴とブレーキワイヤ(G)の穴をあ
わせます。
ピン(D)およびワッシャ(E)を取付け、割ピン(F)で固
定してください。

Carefully peel the tape off the bulging area of the main
harness, and then disconnect the connectors.
メインハーネスの膨らんだ部分のテープを丁寧にに剥
がし、コネクタを取出します。

Follow the steps below to install the solenoid valve onto the
holes (A) in the frame.
フレームの穴(A)に、以下の手順でソレノイドバルブ
を取付けます。

Install the solenoid valve (A) with the bolts M10 (2), spring
washers (3) and washers (4).
ソレノイドバルブ(A)を、10 ボルト(2)、S ワッシャ
(3)およびワッシャ(4)で取付けてください。

The P port (B) of the solenoid valve (A) is the forward side
inlet port.
ソレノイドバルブ(A)のＰポート(B)は、前進側の入力

The arrow points toward the front of the vehicle.
Remove the female screw cap (C) from the elbow (B) of the
manifold (A), and then connect and tighten the hydraulic
hose from the P port of the solenoid valve.
Since the hydraulic hose connected to the solenoid valve is
temporarily tightened, check for twists in the hose, and then
tighten the hydraulic hose connector at the solenoid valve.
矢印方向が本体前側です。
分岐金(A)のエルボ(B)のネジキャップメス(C)を取外
し、ソレノイドバルブの Pポートから出た油圧ホース
を接続し締付けてください。
ソレノイドバルブ側油圧ホースは仮締めなので、ホー
スの捻れに注意して、ソレノイドバルブ側油圧ホース
を締付けてください。

The B port (B) of the solenoid valve (A) is the reverse side
inlet port.
ソレノイドバルブ(A)のBポート(B)は、後進側の入力
ポートです。

The arrow points toward the rear of the vehicle.
Remove the female screw cap (C) from the elbow (B) of the
manifold (A), and then connect and tighten the hydraulic
hose from the B port of the solenoid valve.
Since the hydraulic hose connected to the solenoid valve is
temporarily tightened, check it for twists, and then tighten
the hydraulic hose connector at the solenoid valve.
矢印方向が本体後側です。分岐金(A)のエルボ(B)のネ
ジキャップメス(C)を取外し、ソレノイドバルブの B
ポートから出た油圧ホースを接続し締付けてくださ

The routing diagram shows the hydraulic hose (A) from the
P port of the solenoid valve and the hydraulic hose (B) from
the B port.
The hydraulic hose (C) will be connected to the hydraulic
oil filter.
ソレノイドバルブの Pポートから出た油圧ホース(A)
とBポートから出た油圧ホース(B)の取回し図です。
油圧ホース(C)は、油圧オイルフィルタに接続しま
す。

Remove the hydraulic hose (B) at the top of the hydraulic
oil filter (A).
Remove the elbow (C).
油圧オイルフイルタ(A)の上側の油圧ホース(B)を取外
してください。
エルボ(C)を取外してください。

After removing the elbow from the hydraulic oil filter (A),
remove the sealing tape residue (C) from the connecting
portion (B) and clean the threaded portion so that the tape
residue will not enter the hydraulic system.
油圧オイルフィルタ(A)からエルボを取外した際は、
取付け部(B)にシールテープの切れ端(C)が残っている
ので、油圧回路内に入らないようにねじ部の掃除をし
てください。

Install the elbow (5) onto the hydraulic oil filter.
Install the 90 deg elbow (6) onto the elbow (5).
Connect the hydraulic hose (A) from the T port of the
solenoid valve (hydraulic hose (C) in step 14) to the 90 deg
elbow (6).
Connect the hydraulic hose (B) removed in step 15 to the
elbow (5).
Check it for twists, and then tighten the hydraulic hose.
油圧オイルフィルタに分岐エルボ(5)を取付けてくだ
さい。
分岐エルボ(5)に90 エルボ(6)を取付けてください。
ソレノイドバルブの Tポート(手順 14 の油圧ホース
(C))から出た油圧ホース(A)を90 エルボ(6)に接続し
てください。
手順 15 で取外した油圧ホース(B)を、分岐エルボ(5)
に接続してください。
捻れに注意して、油圧ホースを締付けてください。

The hole (A) in the vehicle will be used to install the hose
guide.
本体の穴(A)がホースガイドを取付ける穴です。

Use the nuts (B) to install the hose guide (A) at the angle
shown in the figure.

Remove the plug (B) from the hydraulic tank (A).
油圧タンク(A)からプラグ(B)を取外してください。

After removing the plug from the hydraulic tank (A),
remove the sealing tape residue (C) from the connecting
portion (B) and clean the threaded portion so that the tape
residue will not enter the hydraulic system.
油圧タンク(A)からプラグを取外した際は、取付け部
(B)にシールテープの切れ端(C)が残っているので、油
圧回路内に入らないようにねじ部の掃除をしてくださ
い。

Install the 90 deg elbow (6) onto the hydraulic tank thread
joint (A).
Install the drain hose (B) for the wheel motor of the rear
wheel part Assy (3WD) (1) onto the 90 deg elbow (6).
油圧タンクねじ金具(A)に90 エルボ(6)を取付けてく
ださい。
90 エルボ(6)に、3WD 後輪部 Assy(1)のホイールモー
タのドレンホース(B)を取付けてください。

Remove the four bolts (B), spring washers (C) and washers
(D), and then remove the operation panel cover (A).
ボルト(B)、Sワッシャ(C)、ワッシャ(D)4 箇所を取外
して、操作パネルカバー(A)を取外してください。

Remove the grommet (A) of the operation panel.
Do not reuse the grommet (A).

From the toggle switch (10), remove the nut (B) for
installing the toggle switch onto the operation panel.
The nut (B), wave washer (A) and rubber cap (11) will be
used to install the toggle switch onto the operation panel.
操作パネルに取付けるためのナット(B)を、トグルス
イッチ(10)から取外します。
ナット(B)、波ワッシャ(A)およびゴムキャップ(11)
が、トグルスイッチを操作パネルに取付けるための部
品です。

Install the red working LED lamp (12).
Install the toggle switch (10) with its red/white wire on the
side indicated by the arrow.
Affix the sticker (13) so that the 3WD on the sticker is on
the side indicated by the arrow.
LED 表示灯（赤）(12)を取付けてください。
トグルスイッチの赤白配線を矢印の方向にして、トグ
ルスイッチ(10)を取付けてください。
ラベルの 3WD が矢印方向となるように、ラベル(13)を
張付けてください。

Remove the vinyl tape wrapping the harness terminals for
the toggle switch (10) and working LED lamp (12).
トグルスイッチ(10)および LED 表示灯(12)用ハーネス
の端子に巻いてあるビニールテープを取外してくださ
い。

terminals (B).
Reverse the removing procedure to install the operation
panel cover.

Connect the coupler (A) from the main harness to the
coupler (B) from the solenoid valve.
メインハーネスから出ているカプラ(A)とソレノイド
バルブから出ているカプラ(B)を接続してください。

Direct the rear wheel straight forward.
Check that there are no kinks, bends, etc., in the hydraulic
hoses (C) (behind the protection cover) between the
solenoid valve (A) and wheel motor (B).
If there are no problems, tighten the hose fittings (D).
Secure the wheel motor drain hose (E) and hydraulic hoses
(C) with the plastic bands (7).
後輪を直進の状態にしてください。
ソレノイドバルブ(A)とホイールモータ(B)間の油圧ホ
ース(C)（保護カバー内）に、捩れや曲がりなどが無
いか確認してください。
問題なければ、ホース金具(D)を締付けてください。
ホイールモータドレンホース(E)と油圧ホース(C)をコ
ンベックス(7)で固定してください。

Move the tire left and right (direction of the arrow).
Check that the tire moves smoothly without the hydraulic
hoses (A) interfering with the vehicle.
タイヤを左右（矢印方向）に動かしてください。

Since the speed will decrease when cutting grass after the
3WD-modifying kit has been installed, adjust the speed.
The illustration shows "ON" (A) and "OFF" (B) of reel
rotation switch.
3WD 組替キットを取付けた場合、刈り込み時の速度が
遅くなりますので、速度の調整をしてください。
リール回転スイッチの、ON(A)/OFF(B)の状態です。

Make adjustments with the reel unit raised.
The standard speed of a machine with an engine rpm of
3,000 rpm, the reel rotation switch turned "ON" and the
traveling pedal depressed is 10 m in approximately 6
seconds (6 km/h).
リールユニットを上げた状態で調整してください。
エンジン回転 3,000 rpm、リール回転スイッチを ON に
し、走行ペダルを踏込んだ状態で、10 m を約 6 秒(6
km/h)の速さが基準値となります。
Adjust the speed with the clearance between the mounting
bracket (B) used to install the push-pull cable (A) and the
bolt (D) installed on the reel rotation switch (C).
Loosen the lock nut (E).
Clearance between mounting bracket (B) and bolt (D)
Smaller clearance-----Slower
Larger clearance-----Faster
After making adjustments, firmly tighten the lock nut (E).
プッシュプルケーブル(A)が取付けてある取付け金(B)
と、リール回転スイッチ(C)に取付けてあるボルト(D)
の隙間で調整します。
ロックナット(E)を緩めてください。
取付け金(B)とボルト(D)の隙間
隙間小-----遅くする
隙間大-----速くする
調整後は、確実にロックナット(E)を締付けてくださ
い。
