3. Before rst use
Remove the machine and the accessories
from the packaging. Check the machine for
transport damage and do not use the
machine in case of damages. Keep the
packing materials away from children, risk
of suffocation!
4. Intended use
The Cylinder Mower has been designed for
cutting lawn and grass areas of private
houses. Compliance with these instructions
provided by us is a prerequisite for using the
cylinder lawnmower correctly.
5. Assembly
5.1 Assembling the handle
(See Fig. B, C).
a. Insert the lower part of bottom upright
to the upright holder to stop.
b. Insert the screws left through lower
parts of central upright, upper part of
bottom upright to stop.
c. Screw clamping lever onto screws sev-
eral turns.
d. Insert the screws right through lower
parts of central upright, upper part of
bottom upright to stop.
e. Screw clamping lever onto thread rod
several turns.
f. Push the screws through the upper
handle and the middle handle section
and secure with the clamping lever.
Note: The safety lock (2) of the handles
must be on the right in the direction of
travel.
g. Fix the motor cable (not in pic.) to the
handle with the three cable clips.
6. Function
6.1 Mowing correctly
To produce a well-maintained lawn we rec-
ommend cutting the lawn once a week if
possible. The lawn becomes thicker if cut
frequently.
Relatively long cut grass (> 1 cm) must be
removed so that the lawn does not become
yellow and matted.
After relatively long intervals between mow-
ing(holidaylawn),uptomax.12cm,rstof
all cut in one direction with the cutting
height as high as possible, then cut in the
crosswise direction at the cutting height
required.
Wherever possible, only mow dry lawns.
Damp lawns may lead to uneven cutting.
The area of lawn you can mow with one
charged battery depends on the height and
thickness of the lawn, i.e. the taller and
thicker the lawn, the smaller the area of
lawn you can mow with one fully charged
battery.
With very dense grass, we recommend
scarifying the lawn. For example, with the
Lawn Aerator.
7. Operation
RISK OF INJURY
Risk of injury if the cylinder mower does not
switch off automatically!
Do not remove or bypass safety devices on
the cylinder mower (e.g. by tying the start-
ing handle to the upper part of the upright)!
7.1 Starting the cylinder mower
DANGER!
Blade cylinder continues to turn after
switching off.
Never lift, tilt or carry the cylinder mower
with the motor running!
7064054-Cylinder-lawn-mower-18v-Ma-EN-2201-10.indb 67064054-Cylinder-lawn-mower-18v-Ma-EN-2201-10.indb 6 17-02-2022 10:2217-02-2022 10:22

Never start the mower on a paved surface
(e. g. asphalt).
Always maintain the safety distance
between the blade cylinder and the user set
by the guide handle.
7.2 Switch cylinder lawnmower on
(See Fig. A, J, K, L, N, O).
Note: The cylinder lawnmower is prevented
against being switched on unintentionally
by means of the safety key.
a. Place the cylinder lawnmower on a level
lawn surface.
b. Open the battery cover (5).
c. Insert the battery pack.
d. Insert safety key (12).
e. Press and hold safety lock (2) and then
pull the start bar (3) on the upper
handle.
f. Release safety lock (2).
7.3 Switch cylinder lawnmower off:
a. Release start bar (3) on upper handle.
b. Remove safety key (12) every time work
is interrupted.
Note: The cylinder lawnmower can be oper-
ated by battery or as a manual lawnmower
without battery power.
7.4 Adjusting the cutting height
Danger! Cutting tool can cause injuries!
When adjusting the cutting height, remove
the key and wear suitable work gloves.
The cutting height can be set to four posi-
tions between 13 mm and 38 mm.
(See Fig. Q, R, P).
a. Pull the length adjustment knob (8)
toward outside direction, then clock-
wise or anti-clockwise.
b. Insert the length adjustment knob (8)
into the location hole of support plate
according to the desired cutting height.
c. The cutting height is shown on the
height dial.
The length adjustment knob (8) must
always be set to the same height on both
sides.
The mower may only be adjusted to a depth
in which the lower blade does not touch the
ground when the surface is uneven.
7.5 Mowing with the grass catcher
a. Assemble both metal frames into each
other (See Fig. D).
b. Pull the catch bag over the metal frame
(See Fig. E).
c. Insert the locker into the shaft of rear
wheel (See Fig. F, G).
Also you can insert the locker into the
holder of main housing, if you want the
cuttings directed to the ground (See
Fig. H, I).
8. Storage
The storage location must be inaccessible
to children.
• Remove safety key.
• Charge the battery.
• Clean mower before storage.
• Store mower in a dry place.
To save space, the cylinder mower can be
folded up by folding the clamping lever.
Ensure the cable is not trapped during this
process.
9. Readjusting the cutting
mechanism
(See Fig. M).
The cutting gear of your lawnmower was
optimally adjusted before leaving our com-
pany. If, after use, a clean cut of the grass is
no longer possible or the blade roller con-
tacts the lower blade, then the lower blade
should be adjusted as follows:
a. Unhook the handle (1) and clean cylin-
der mower.
b. Check cylinder mowing blade (11) and
lower counter blade (10) for notches
and remove these with a grindstone if
necessary.
c. Unscrew left and right allen screws (13)
with an allen wrench (5 mm) anticlock-
wise until the cylinder mowing blade
(11) turns freely.
d. Continue turning the cylinder until the
mowing blade (11) is exactly above the
counter blade (10) on the left side.
e. Push a sheet of A4 paper between one
mowing blade (11) on the cylinder and
the counter blade (10).
7064054-Cylinder-lawn-mower-18v-Ma-EN-2201-10.indb 77064054-Cylinder-lawn-mower-18v-Ma-EN-2201-10.indb 7 17-02-2022 10:2217-02-2022 10:22

f. Tighten left allen screw (13) until the A4
paper sheet is held gently.
g. Continue turning the cylinder until the
mowing blade (11), already adjusted on
the left side, is exactly above the coun-
ter blade (10) on the right side.
h. Tighten the right allen screw until the
A4 paper sheet is held gently.
i. Rotate cylinder mowing blade (11). If a
banging noise is produced during this,
open up the allen screw slightly on the
side affected. When the cylinder and
the lower blade can hardly be heard
touching each other, the cutting mecha-
nism has been adjusted correctly.
Cutting test: Place a strip of A4 paper in
such a way on the counter blade (10)
that it points towards the spindle of the
cylinder mowing blade (11).
j. Turn cylinder mowing blade (11) care-
fully. If the counter blade (10) is set
correctly the paper will be cut off as if
with scissors.
k. Repeat the cutting test on the other
blades of the cylinder.
10. Maintenance and cleaning
Danger!
Cutting tool can cause injuries!
When undertaking maintenance, remove
the safety key, wait for the cutting mecha-
nism to stop and put on suitable work
gloves.
WARNING: Always disconnect from the
mains power supply, before carrying out any
maintenance/ cleaning of the charger.
Remove the battery before carrying out any
maintenance/cleaning of the tool.
10.1 Maintenance
There are no inner parts of the tool which
need maintenance.
10.2 Cleaning
Warning! Damage to Li-on cylinder mower.
Never clean your cylinder mower with run-
ning water, in particular with water under
high pressure.
Deposits affect the cutting result as well as
discharge of grass clippings. Residual dirt
and grass is easily removed immediately
after mowing.
a. Remove grass deposits with a brush
and a cloth.
b. Oil the cutting mechanism lightly with
low viscosity oil (e.g. sprayed oil).
• Keep safety devices, ventilation open-
ings and the motor housing as free as
possible from dirt and dust. Rub the
electric power tool with a clean cloth or
blow over it with low pressure com-
pressed air.
• We recommend that you clean your
electric power tool immediately after
each use.
• Clean the electric power tool regularly
with a damp cloth and somewhat soft
soap. Do not use any cleaning or sol-
vent materials; these can attack the
device’s plastic components. Make sure
that no water can get inside the electric
power tool.
