Powering BH65TWS On / Off
Press and Hold the POWER button for 4
seconds to power ON. You will hear an audible
tone. The blue LED will flash quickly to indicate
that it is powered on and searching for a
Bluetooth source to pair with.
To power the speaker off, press and hold the
POWER button for 4 seconds.
NOTE: An additional battery icon may appear
next to the Bluetooth icon at the top right of your
phone/tablet’s screen, indicating the speaker’s
battery level. This is compatible only with certain
devices.
Connecting BH65TWS via Bluetooth
Once powered on, the speaker will automatically
enter pairing mode. Go into your phone/tablet’s
Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth. Next,
enter the Bluetooth device list and select
Bell+Howell_BH65TWS. After selected, wait a
few seconds for the pairing to complete. Once
the pairing is successful, you will hear an
audible tone from the speaker and the LED will
light up solid blue.
NOTE: The BH65TWS will automatically
connect to a previously paired device if the
paired device’s Bluetooth radio is powered,
enabled and within reachable distance.
Connecting BH65TWS via Auxiliary Input
If you would like to use a device that is not
equipped with Bluetooth technology, simply
connect the included auxiliary 3.5mm cable from
your device to the Aux-In input at the side of the
BH65TWS. The speaker will automatically enter
auxiliary mode. While connected via Auxiliary,
the only controls that will function on the speaker
is the PLAY button and volume control. All other
functions are controlled from the connected
device.
Linking another BH65TWS for True
Wireless Sound
The BH65TWS includes True Wireless Stereo
(TWS) technology. This enables you to link two
speakers to emit a true left / right stereo sound.
To connect two speakers over TWS make sure
both speakers are powered on and only one of
the speakers is connected to a Bluetooth device.
The speaker connected to the Bluetooth device
will be the master speaker. Press and hold the
PLUS and MINUS buttons at the same time for
two seconds. The LED light on the speaker will
flash blue quickly, indicating it is searching for
another speaker to connect to. The master
speaker will automatically connect with the
auxiliary speaker. Once the two speakers are
connected LED indicator on both speakers will
stay lit blue.
To forget the last TWS pairing press and hold
the PLUS and MINUS buttons at the same time
for two seconds on either one of the speakers.
this will forget the last TWS and Bluetooth
connection.
Controlling the Sound on Your BH65TWS
PLAY / PAUSE
Tap the PLAY button.
VOLUME UP / DOWN
Tap the MINUS button to decrease the volume.
Tap the PLUS button to increase the volume.
FORWARD / BACKWARD TRACK
Press and hold the PLUS button to skip a track
forward. Press and hold the MINUS button to go
to the previous track.
ANSWER / END PHONE CALL
Tap the PLAY/PAUSE button.
DECLINE PHONE CALL
Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Answering or Making Calls
If there is an incoming call on your paired
phone/tablet, the music will pause and the ring
tone will play from the BH65TWS speaker. To
answer a call, simply press the PLAY/PAUSE
button.
To end a call, simply press the PLAY/PAUSE
button. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button
to decline a phone call.
NOTE: For best performance and clarity,
operate the BH65TWS within an arm’s length.
Ensure that the microphone faces your direction.
Charging your BH65TWS
Plug the small end of the included micro USB
cable into the micro USB port on the back of the
speaker. Plug the other end of the cable into a
5V AC adaptor (not included). Once plugged in,
the charging LED on the side of the speaker will
light up red. It will turn off once the internal
battery is fully charged.
NOTE: The BH65TWS can only be charged with
5V adapters/USB ports. Quick charging devices
over 5V may cause damage.
Factory Reset
If you are experiencing connectivity issues, you
may need to perform a hard reset on your
BH65TWS. To do so, push the reset button on
the side of the speaker, you can also press and
hold the PLAY/PAUSE and the PLUS buttons at
the same time for 3 seconds.
