spray cans)).
The air condioner must be installed by profes-
sional or qualied persons. If the appliance is used in areas without the
possibility of venlaon, precauons must be
taken to prevent any leaked refrigerant gas from
remaining in the environment.
During the installaon of the indoor and outdoor
units, keep children away from the working area.
Make sure that the base of the outdoor unit is
rmly xed to a solid, at and level plaorm. The packaging material is recyclable and should
be recycled. At the end of its useful life, send the
air condioner to an authorized waste collecon
center for proper disposal.
Check that air cannot enter the refrigerant sys-
tem and check for refrigerant leaks when moving
the air condioner.
Only use the air condioner as instructed in this
booklet. These instrucons are not intended to
cover every possible condion and situaon.
As with any electrical household appliance,
common sense and cauon are therefore
always necessary for installaon, operaon and
maintenance.

dioner and record the operang data.
The appliance must be installed in accordance
with applicable governing regulaons.
The indoor unit must be protected by installing a
fuse of suitable capacity for the maximum input
current or with another overload protecon
device.
Before accessing the wiring terminals on the
unit, all power circuits must be disconnected
from the power supply.
Ensure that the voltage from the mains electric-
ity corresponds to that stamped on the rang
plate of the unit. Keep the switch or power plug
clean. Insert the power plug completely and
rmly into the socket to avoid the risk of electric
shock or re.
Installaon must be performed in accordance
with the requirements of state and local regula-
ons and by licensed personnel only.
The appliance must be ed with the means
to be disconnected from the supply mains that
allow contact separaon in all poles and provide
full disconnecon under overvoltage category III
condions. These means must be incorporated
in the xed wiring in accordance with wiring
codes and regulaons.
This appliance can be used by children aged
8 years and older or by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack

This appliance is to be used for air condioning
domesc environments and must not be used
for any other purpose, such as for drying clothes,
cooling food, etc.
Have repairs carried out only by a qualied tech-
nician. Incorrect repair could expose the user to
the risk of electric shock, etc.
Always use the appliance with the air lter in
place. Running the air condioner without an
air lter could cause an excessive accumulaon
of dust or dirt on the inner parts of the device
causing product failure.
The airow direcon must be properly adjusted.
The aps must be directed upwards in the
cooling mode.
The user is responsible for having the appliance
installed by a qualied technician, who must
check that it is grounded in accordance with

2.3 Mark the screw hole posions on the wall.
2.4 Remove mounng plate and drill holes at the marked screw hole posions.
2.5 Indoor unit should be out of reach of children.
2.6 Insert wall anchors into the drilled screw holes, then fasten the mounng plate with screws.
Drill a hole in the wall for refrigerant piping, condensate hose, and connecng cables.
3.1 Determine the locaon of the hole based on the posion of the mounng plate.
3.2 The hole should be at least 2-3/4 inch (70mm) diameter and angled downwards towards the
exterior wall to facilitate drainage (refer to drawing below).
3.3 Fit the wall sleeve and wall sleeve cover (both are oponal parts) to protect the connecon
parts.

4.3 Remove the plasc cover in the pipe ports and the protecve cover on the end of piping con-
nectors.
4.4 Check that the pipe port and the pipe connectors are clean.
4.5 Align the pipe port and pipe connectors and fasten with the ange nut. Tighten the nut as ght-
ly as possible by hand rst.
4.6 Next, use a torque wrench to ghten the nut. (Refer to the torque parameters table in the
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS secon.
4.7 Do not wrap the joint with insulaon unl aer the leak test is completed.
4.1 Based on the wall hole posion, select the appropriate piping roung opon. There are three
ways to route the piping for the indoor unit as shown in the gure below: In Opon 1 or 3, cut
the plasc knock-out along the groove on the side of the indoor unit with a cuer for the pipes
to pass through.
4.2 Unroll the connecng pipes gently with the port facing up as shown in the gure below.

5.1 Adjust the drainage hose (if applicable). In some models, drainage ports are available on both
sides of the indoor unit as opons to aach the drainage hose. Plug the unused drain port with
the rubber aached in one of the ports.
5.2 Connect the drainage hose to the drainage port. Ensure the connecon is rm and sealed.
5.3 Wrap the joint rmly with Teon tape to ensure no leaks.
6.1 Choose the right cable size determined by the maximum operang current on the nameplate.
(Refer to the INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS secon to determine the cable size to use).
6.2 Open the front panel of the indoor unit.
6.3 Remove the electric control box cover to access the terminal block.
6.4 Unscrew the cable clamp.
6.5 Insert one end of the cable into the control box from the back at the right end of the indoor
unit.
6.6 Connect the wires to the corresponding
terminals according to the wiring diagram

INDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
If the wrapped bundle of refrigerant pipes, cable wires and drainage hose is already installed in the
wall, use the procedures below.
i. Hook the top of the indoor unit onto the mounng plate without piping and wiring connected.
ii. Li the boom of the indoor unit away from the wall. Unbend the bracket on the mounng bracket
so that the indoor unit can be propped up enough to create enough space to work. Install the
piping, wiring and drainage hose per Steps 4 through 7.
iii. Re-bend the bracket and snap the unit into mounng bracket.
Aer the refrigerant pipes, cable wires and drainage hose are all installed on the indoor unit, bundle
them with insulang tape before passing them through the wall hole.
7.1 Arrange the pipes, cables and drainage hose as shown below:
7.2 Use insulang tape to wrap the refrigerant pipes, cable wires and drainage hose together ghtly.
8.1 Carefully pass the wrapped bundle of refrigerant pipes, cable wires and drainage hose through
the hole in the wall.
8.2 Hook the top of the indoor unit onto the mounng plate.
8.3 Apply a slight pressure to the le and right side of the indoor unit. Make sure the indoor unit is
hooked rmly.
8.4 Push the boom of the indoor unit against the mounng plate unl it snaps into the mounng
plate.
Step 7: Wrap Piping and Cable
Step 8: Mount Indoor Unit

OUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
Select a site that allows for the following:
1.1 Do not install the outdoor unit near sources of heat, steam or ammable gas.
1.2 Do not install the unit in a windy or dusty locaon.
1.3 Do not install the unit where there is frequent trac. Select a place where the air discharge and
operang sound will not disturb the neighbors.
1.4 Avoid installing the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight (if necessary, use shade pro-
tecon that does not interfere with the air ow).
1.5 Allow enough space as shown in the picture for air to circulate freely.
1.6 Install the outdoor unit in a safe and solid locaon.
1.7 If the outdoor unit is subject to vibraon, place rubber vibraon pads on the feet of the unit.
2.1 This step is only for heat pump models.
2.2 Insert the drainage adapter into the hole at the boom
of the outdoor unit.
2.3 Connect the drainage hose to the adapter.
3.1 Use the feet of the outdoor unit to mark the locaon for the anchor bolts.
3.2 Anchor the bolts to the installaon base.
3.3 If applicable, install 4 rubber pads over the hole before placing the outdoor unit (Op-
onal). This will reduce vibraons and noise.
3.4 Place the outdoor unit base onto the bolts or pre-drilled holes.
3.5 Use a wrench to fasten the outdoor unit rmly with the bolts.
