Measure accordingly:
Amount of laundry, level of soiling, water hardness (a sky our water supply company) and

Pour liquid detergent into the app ropriate dispenser and place in the drum.
During operation: Open the detergent drawer with care.

The spin speed and temp erature can be changed e ither before or while the se lected programme runs. T he effect this has
will depend on how f ar the programme has alre ady run.
ʑV(Temperature °C)
You can change the di splayed washing temperature. The maximum washing temperat ure that can be selected depen ds
on the programme that has bee n set.
ʑ(Finished in)
When you select the programme, the relevant p rogramme duration is displayed. You can delay t he start of the programme
before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of on e hour up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Press the (Finished in) button repeatedly until the d esired number of hours is displayed (h = hour).
Press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+r eload).
ʑ(Spin speed in rpm) / (Rinse Hold = no Final spin)
You can change the spin speed shown or select c(Rinse Hold = no Final spin, laund ry remains in the water after the
final rinse, ---appearsin t he display panel). You can changethe sp in speed shown. The maximum selectable spin speed
depends on the model and on which prog ramme is currently selected.

You can lock the washing machine to prevent the functions you have set from bei ng
changed inadvertently.
ON/OFF: After the start/end of the programme, press and hold ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/
Pause+reload) for approx. 5 seconds.
Note: The childlock can remain a ctivated until you start the next programme, even a fter
switching off the machine.
Then you can deactivate the c hildlock before starting the programm e and activate it again
as necessary once the programme has started.
Note:
–The (symbol is lit: Childlock active .
–The (symbol flashes: Childlock active and then t he programme selector is altered.
To prevent the programme from stopping, turn the progr amme selector back to the
original programme, th e (symbol is lit again.

laundry is possible.

Risk of electric shock – Never pull the cable to disconnect the mains plug.
– Only insert/pull out the mains plug with dry hands.

Important information
Before washing for the fi rst time
Do not put any laundry in th e machine. Turn the tap on. Pour into compartment II:
–approx. 1 litre water
– detergent (dos age according to the manufacturer's instructions for light soiling and according to water hard ness)
Set programme selector to ŻƩƖƔƧƝƜƨƖ/ƈƩƢƝƚƨƞƟƑc(Easy-care) 60 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+
reload). At the end of the progr amme, turn the programme selector to Off.
Protecting the laundr y and the machine
– When determi ningt he dosage of all washing powders, additives and cleaning agents, you must follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
– Empty pockets.
– Look o ut for metal items (paperclips, etc.).
– Wash de licates in a laundry bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
– Fasten zips, do up any buttons.
– Brush sand ou t ofp ockets and collars.
– Remove curta in fittings or place in the laundry bag.

Load items of laundry of varying sizes.
Take care not to trap items of laundry between the washing mac hine door and the rubber seal.

Wash new items of clothing separately.

Soaking Load laundry of the sa me colour
Pour soaking agent/deterg ent into compartment II in accor dance with thema nufacturer's instructions. Set programme
selector to ŸƖơƗƖƟƚƥƑc(Cottons) 30 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Paus e+reload). After approx. 10 minutes,
press ŴƦƚƩƧƠ/ƆƖƱƧƜ(Start/ Pause+reload)to stop the programme. Once th e required soaking time has elapsed,
press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+reloa d) again to continue the programme, or change to a di fferent programme.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Starching is possible in all wash programmes if liquid starch is used. Pour starch into the ~fabric softener com-
partment in accordance with the ma nufacturer's instructions (rinse first if necessary).
Dyeing / bleaching
Dye should only be used in normal household quantities. Sa lt may damage stainless steel. Always follow the dye
manufacturer's instructions. Do not use the washing machine for bleaching clothes.
Down Laundry must not be treated w ith fabric softener.
Only wash down-filled clothing, n ot feather cushions or bedding. Wash large items separately. Be sparing with washing
detergent. Dry laundry in the tumble dryer afterwards to prevent the down from clum ping.

Position the insert for dispensi ngli quid detergent:

Information about blockages
Detergent solution p ump
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect t he mains plug.
1. Open and remove the service fla p.
2. Take the drainage hose out o f the holder.
Remove the sealing cap, allow th e detergent solution to flow out.
Push the sealing cap back on.
3. Unscrew the pump cover carefully (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump h ousing (the impeller in the detergent
solution pump must be a ble to rotate).
5. Replace the pump cover and scr ew it tightly in place. The handle points upright.
Replace the drainage hose in the h older.
6. Refit the service flap and close it.
To prevent unused detergent from flowi ng straight into the drain during the next wash:
Pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and start the ŮƢƨƠƜƧƜƢƚƥƤƱ(Drain) programme.
Drainage hose at the s iphon

1. Loosen the hose clamp, remo ve the drainage hose carefully (residual water).
2. Clean the drainage hose and siphon conn ecting piece.
3. Reattach the drainage hose and secure the connection with the hose clamp.

The spin speed and temperature can be changed either before or while the selected programme runs. The effect this has
will depend on how far the programme has already run.
ʑV(Temperature °C)
You can change the displayed washing temperature. The maximum washing temperature that can be selected depends
on the programme that has been set.
ʑ(Finished in)
When you select the programme, the relevant programme duration is displayed. You can delay the start of the programme
before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of one hour up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Press the (Finished in) button repeatedly until the desired number of hours is displayed (h = hour).
Press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+reload).
ʑ(Spin speed in rpm) / (Rinse Hold = no Final spin)
You can change the spin speed shown or select c(Rinse Hold = no Final spin, laundry remains in the water after the
final rinse, ---appears in the display panel). You can change the spin speed shown. The maximum selectable spin speed
depends on the model and on which programme is currently selected.

Pause+reload) for approx. 5 seconds.
Note: The childlock can remain activated until you start the next programme, even after
switching off the machine.
Then you can deactivate the childlock before starting the programme and activate it again
as necessary once the programme has started.

To prevent the programme from stopping, turn the programme selector back to the

laundry is possible.

Important information
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any laundry in the machine. Turn the tap on. Pour into compartment II:
–approx. 1 litre water
– detergent (dosage according to the manufacturer's instructions for light soiling and according to water hardness)
Set programme selector to ŻƩƖƔƧƝƜƨƖ/ƈƩƢƝƚƨƞƟƑc(Easy-care) 60 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+
reload). At the end of the programme, turn the programme selector to Off.
Protecting the laundry and the machine
– When determining the dosage of all washing powders, additives and cleaning agents, you must follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
– Empty pockets.
– Look out for metal items (paperclips, etc.).
– Wash delicates in a laundry bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
– Fasten zips, do up any buttons.
– Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
– Remove curtain fittings or place in the laundry bag.
Loading laundry
Load items of laundry of varying sizes.
Take care not to trap items of laundry between the washing machine door and the rubber seal.
Laundry with varying degrees of soiling
Wash new items of clothing separately.
light Do not prewash. If required, select the function ĈSpeed Perfect.
Pretreat any stains as necessary.

Soaking Load laundry of the same colour
Pour soaking agent/detergent into compartment II in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Set programme
selector to ŸƖơƗƖƟƚƥƑc(Cottons) 30 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+reload). After approx. 10 minutes,
press ŴƦƚƩƧƠ/ƆƖƱƧƜ(Start/Pause+reload)to stop the programme. Once the required soaking time has elapsed,
press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+reload) again to continue the programme, or change to a different programme.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Starching is possible in all wash programmes if liquid starch is used. Pour starch into the ~fabric softener com-
partment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions (rinse first if necessary).
Dyeing / bleaching
Dye should only be used in normal household quantities. Salt may damage stainless steel. Always follow the dye
manufacturer's instructions. Do not use the washing machine for bleaching clothes.
Down Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener.
Only wash down-filled clothing, not feather cushions or bedding. Wash large items separately. Be sparing with washing
detergent. Dry laundry in the tumble dryer afterwards to prevent the down from clumping.

Insert for liquid detergent model-dependent
Position the insert for dispensing liquid detergent:
–Remove the detergent drawer completely apage 10.
– Slide the insert forwards.
Do not use the insert (slide upwards):
– for gel detergents and washing powder,
–for programmes with +ƆƥưƠƩƧƜ(Prewash) or option (Finished in)
Care
ʑMachine housing, control panel
– Remove detergent residue immediately.
– Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
– Do not clean with a jet of water.
Cleaning the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residues.
1. Pull out, press insert down, remove drawer completely.
2. To remove the insert: press the insert upwards from below with your finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser tray and insert with water and a brush and dry it.
4. Fit the insert and engage (connect the cylinder to the guide pin).
5. Push in the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that any residual water can evaporate.
ʑDrum
Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry out.
Use chlorine-free cleaning agent, not steel wool.
ʑDescaling Ensure there is no laundry in the machine
This should not be necessary if the correct detergent dosage has been used. If it is necessary, however, proceed
according to the descaling agent manufacturer's instructions. Suitable descalers can be obtained via our website or
from our after-sales service (apage 13).
Information on the display panel model-dependent
,flashing Close the washing machine door properly; laundry may be caught.

'Childproof lock activated: to deactivate apage 5.
Other displays Switch off the appliance, wait for 5 seconds and switch it back on. If the display appears again,
call the after-sales service apage 13.
–Risk of electric shock! Disconnect the mains plug.
–Risk of explosion! No solvents.

Information about blockages
Detergent solution pump
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
1. Open and remove the service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the holder.
Remove the sealing cap, allow the detergent solution to flow out.
Push the sealing cap back on.
3. Unscrew the pump cover carefully (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (the impeller in the detergent
solution pump must be able to rotate).
5. Replace the pump cover and screw it tightly in place. The handle points upright.
Replace the drainage hose in the holder.
6. Refit the service flap and close it.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing straight into the drain during the next wash:
Pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and start the ŮƢƨƠƜƧƜƢƚƥƤƱ(Drain) programme.
Drainage hose at the siphon
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
1. Loosen the hose clamp, remove the drainage hose carefully (residual water).
2. Clean the drainage hose and siphon connecting piece.
3. Reattach the drainage hose and secure the connection with the hose clamp.
Filter in the water supply
Risk of electric shock
Do not immerse the HydroSafe safety device in water (it contains an electric valve).
Reduce the water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap.
2. Select any programme (except for ƄƒƗƘƖƠơƖ/ƈƨƱƬƞơƤ(Rinse/Spin)//
ŮƢƨƠƜƧƜƢƚƥƤƱ(Drain)).
3. Press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Pause+reload). Let the programme run for approximately
40 seconds.
4. Turn the programme selector to Off.Disconnect the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from the tap.
Clean the filter using a small brush.
and/or for Standard and Aqua-Secure models:
Remove the hose from the back of the appliance,
Remove the filter using pliers and clean the filter.
6. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
Risk of scalding!
– Allow the detergent solution to cool down.
– Turn off the tap.

What to do if...
ʑDetergent residues on the
laundry.
– Occasionally, phosphate-free detergents contain water-insoluble residues.
–Select ƄƒƗƘƖƠơƖ/ƈƨƱƬƞơƤ(Rinse/Spin) or brush out the laundry after washing.
ʑIn Add laundry mode,

– Water level too high. Not possible to add laundry. Close the washing machine door
immediately if necessary.

If you cannot correct a fault yourself (switching on/off) or a repair is required:
–Turn the programme selector to Off and remove the mains plug from the socket.
–Turn off the tap and call the after-sales service apage 13.
Emergency release e.g. in the event of a power cut
The programme starts running again the power has been restored. However, if the laundry has to be removed, the
washing machine door can be opened as follows:
Risk of scalding!
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot. If possible, leave to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen through the glass.
1. Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
2. Drain the detergent solution apage 11.
3. Pull the emergency release downwards with a tool and release.
Washing machine door can then be opened.
