Disposal Methods
Packaging from your new machine
Dispose of packing ma erial properly.
Packaging ma erials are no oys for children.
All packaging ma erials used are
environmen ally friendly and recyclable.
The boxes are made of 80% o 100% recycled
paper.
Wood par s are no chemically rea ed.
The films are made of polye hylene (PE),
banding is made of polypropylene (PP) and
he CFC-free cushions are made of expanded
polys yrene (PS). These ma erials are pure
hydrocarbon compounds and recyclable.
Due o he rea men and reuse saves raw
ma erials and reduces was e volumes.
In Germany you can re urn he packaging o
he dealer from whom you bough he device.
Old Appliance

laundry and ex ile.
The laundry agitator wi h he openings for

The variable detergent drawer is designed for
all commercially available compac and liquid
de ergen . In conjunc ion wi h he "in ensive"
bu on he separa e addi ion of s ain removal
sal s and powder bleach is allowed.
The eco-ball closure of he ub reliably brings
he full de ergen usage.
The foam detection decide on he number of
rinses.
The washing, rinsing and spin times are
reduced au oma ically depending on he
program selec ion and loading, where you can
decide he speed selec or, if he laundry is
spun a high or low speeds or wi h a special,

The programs are se using he program

and special programs are available.
Cottons

The spin speed selector
The spin speed selec or provides he op ion o
selec differen spin speeds, in erval spin and
rinse hold.
The spin speed selec or can be ro a ed in bo h
direc ions.

Basic position
(The Spin speed selec or poin ing upward)
The ex iles are au oma ically ro a ed a he
maximum spin speed. This depends on your
device ype and by he se ing program (see
able below).
Use he spin speed selec or o al er he spin
speed.
For laundry care in he spin cycle wi h
delica es, woollens and delica es are
au oma ically limi ed (see able) and no
exceeded even a higher posi ions of
adjus men .
For delica e fabrics, you should selec a lower
spin speed for gen le fabric care.
The lowes spin speed is 400 revolu ions per
minu e (rev / min).
Saving Note:
If he laundry is o be dried in a umble dryer,
selec a high spin speed, as well dewa ered
laundry o umble drying requires much less
energy and ime.
IVS – Intermediate Spinning
The laundry is gen ly spun and sca ered in
several in ervals. In his se ing, he program
ex ended by 7 - 15 minu es.
Wool is projec ed only on an in erval due o
he shrinking danger.
Rinse Hold
The laundry remains in he las rinse wa er
(Exi program see page 16).

Additional functions
The basic wash programs are designed for
normal o sligh ly soiled household linen. For
special requiremen s addi ional func ions can
be selec ed by pressing he corresponding
bu ons.

"Prewash" button
In par icularly s ar soiled laundry, wi h s rong
s ains or Professional wash.
1/3 of he de ergen in chamber | Fill.
Please no e:
When wool program is selec ed, prewash is
no running, in order o pro ec he fiber.
"Short wash" button
For low o ligh ly-soiled laundry. The washing
ime is shor ened.
“Higher Water Level” button
The wa er levels are increased in he washing
process, ano her rinse cycle is swi ched.

The detergent dispenser

Laundry Detergent
You can use any commercially available
powder or liquid de ergen s for drum ype
washing machines.
Never use solven -based cleaning agen s in
washing machines! There is a risk of
explosion!
Keep de ergen s and fabric care addi ives
where hey are inaccessible o children.
Amount of detergent
Only he correc dosage leads o good
washing resul s, follow he ins ruc ions on he
packaging of he de ergen . Use he inser for
liquid de ergen in he de ergen drawer or
use he dosage aids, eg. Dosing balls, sacs ha
are a ached o he de ergen s.
The amoun of de ergen depends on:
Wa er hardness
The degree of soiling
The amoun of laundry
Dosing of he par icular de ergen .
Insufficien amoun of de ergen is no iceable
only af er repea ed underdosing:
The laundry is gray or no clean.
I can form poin -like, gray-brown spo s (fa
lice) on he laundry.
The radia ors calcify.
Too much de ergen has he resul :
An unnecessarily high amoun of pollu ion
A small washing ac ion by excessive foaming,
and hus poor washing resul s.
The de ergen quan i ies indica ed on he
packe s refer o full drum loads.
Wi h smaller amoun s of laundry or low
soiling level, reduce he amoun of de ergen .
Notes
Liquid detergents and start time delay
(S ar ime delay see page 8).
In S ar ime delay a dispensing con ainer for
liquid de ergen s, eg. Ball, use, o herwise he
liquid de ergen slowly runs ou of he
de ergen drawer and hickened. If his
happens repea edly, i can lead o blockages
caused by de ergen deposi s.

Softeners
In he wa er hardness ranges 2-4 special
sof eners may be used. See package de ails!
The amoun of de ergen in his case,
according o hardness range 1 me er. Firs ,
pour in he de ergen , hen pour he wa er
sof ener in he same chamber, so he liquids
are be er blended.
Soaking
Fill in chamber 1 of he de ergen drawer.
Selec “Soaking” Program (see page 18).
Fabric conditioner
Pour in o chamber . Do no exceed he
"max", as hese are usually flushed wi h he
de ergen oge her beginning of he program,
and no fabric sof ener only in he program
sec ion. S ir liquid sof ener before filling, in
order o avoid clogging he overflow.
Fine finishes and natural strength.
Pour in o chamber II of he de ergen drawer.
Selec program s reng hs (see page 18).
Bleach, stain remover
Powdered bleach and s ain sal s can be used
addi ionally for ex iles wi h bleachable s ains.
A S aging of "in ensive" bu on (no all
devices) means fill in chamber I. Wi hou
bu on "In ensive": firs , he de ergen , hen
pour he bleach powder or s ain remover in o
compar men II.

Preparing laundry
Sorting laundry
Sor he laundry according o he care
symbols ha are specified on he care labels.
Kni wear made of wool or wool rich mus
"does no fel " o be in "non-fel ing" or
"machine washable" wi h he addi ion.
O herwise, here is risk of fel ing!
You may jus wash laundry in he machine,

impairs he washing resul s.

e.g. Kni ed underwear, T-shir s, swea shir s,

Stain removal
S ubborn s ains are some imes no removed
by washing once. S ains should, herefore, be
removed as soon as possible, as long as hey
are fresh, are removed or a leas rea ed.
Dried s ains are more difficul or impossible o
remove.
Fresh s ain: Try i firs wi h soap and wa er.
Do no rub on he fabric, bu only pa .

First commissioning
The first wash cycle (without laundry)
The firs wash cycle should be carried ou
wi hou laundry, in order o remove
produc ion-rela ed es wa er residues.
1. Make sure ha he ranspor lock is loca ed
on he rear panel (see ins alla ion
ins ruc ions).
2. Open he ap.
3. Pull ou he dispenser drawer un il i s ops.
4. Fill in Chamber II half a measuring cup full
de ergen . Do no use fine order wool
de ergen , because he foaming is oo high.
5. Press he "On / Off" bu on.
6. Se he program selec or o Co ons 60 C.
7. Se he knob o s ar on he s ar posi ion.
The program runs.
8. Af er he end of program, press he "On /
Off" bu on.
Reminder for wa er hardness
Insufficien amoun s of de ergen will depend
on he wa er hardness. Your local wa er
company can give you informa ion abou he
wa er hardness.
In he de ergen drawer, a reminder of he
wa er hardness can be se , e.g. 3.

here are no foreign bodies or even rapped

2. Place he garmen s separa ely and loosely
in he drum, wi h a mix ure of large and small
pieces.
3. Make sure ha no i ems of laundry are
clamped be ween he washing machine door
and rubber gaske .
4. Close he loading door by compressing i
un il he lock audibly engages.

Precondition: You have selec ed he
addi ional func ion "Rinse Hold".
The laundry is in he final rinse wa er. The
display shows he rinse hold. The door can be
opened only af er spinning he laundry or
af er pumping of he rinse wa er.
You have wo ways o exi he program:
The laundry will be spun

desired numbers of revolu ion, eg.
600, or IVS.
The wa er is pumped ou , he washing
is spun.

rubber seal! Otherwise, there is a risk

Soaking (program 6)

Dyeing is possible in your washing
machine wi h limi a ions.
Please use only environmen ally
friendly dyeing agen s. Observe he
manufac urer's ins ruc ions for
applica ion and sui abili y for washing
machines.

boil wash program (90 C) wi hou
laundry. Add 1/2 measuring cup full of
de ergen in o chamber II.
Decolorize
Decolorizing is no possible in he
device. Discoloring agen may con ain
sulfur or chlorine and damage par s.
Change program
If a program has been erroneously se
and s ar ed, a change is possible as
follows:
1. Se he program selec or o X.
Turn he program s ar knob o he
end posi ion. The solu ion is no
drained.
2. Turn he program selec or knob o
he new program.
3. Turn he s ar posi ion knob o
S ar .

Maintenance / Care / Cleaning
Cleaning the machine
Do no use solven s! These
subs ances can damage par s, oxic
vapors and are explosive!
Do no spray he machine wi h a je of
wa er!
Clean he cabine and panel wi h
soapy wa er or wi h a commercial
solven -free, non-abrasive de ergen .
Descaling the machine
Wi h he correc dosage of de ergen ,
a descaling is generally no required.
Descaling agen s con ain acids, which
can a ack par s of he appliance and
cause discolora ion o laundry.
If you s ill wan o descale, no e he
manufac urer's ins ruc ions on he
applica ion.
Cleaning the drum
Remove rus s ains caused by broken-
down me al par s wi h chlorine-free
cleaning agen s. Never use s eel wool!
Water supply hose
Only for models without Aqua-s op:
To avoid wa er damage, have i
checked by a specialis af er abou 5
years of opera ion.
Frost protection
If he uni is in a room ha is
suscep ible o fros , any remaining
wa er mus be removed immedia ely
from he drain pump and he wa er
inle hose.
Emptying the drain pump
See ‘Cleaning he drain pump’ (page
21).
Draining the water supply hose
Turn off he ap.
For devices wi hou Aqua-S op:
Unscrew he hose o he
wa er ap; le he wa er run
in o a con ainer. Screw he
hose back o he ap.
For devices wi h Aqua-S op:
Unscrew he hose and allow i
o lie on he on he floor. Turn
on any wash program for
abou 40 seconds. Residual
wa er runs ou of he inle
hose. (Use wipes). Screw he
hose back o he ap.
