BOSS™ OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
The Odorox® Boss™ unit is the right
choice for the professional re and
water damage restoraon contractor.
It can deodorize and decontaminate up
to 2000 square feet.
The Odorox® Boss™ unit is designed for heavy concentration processing and
operates using less than 230 Watts (refer to Specication page for additional
ratings). The Boss™ unit is equipped with a selector switch for 1 or 2 Odorox®
hydroxyl generating optics and a washable lter. The built-in fan is adjustable
from approximately 250 to 500 cfm which makes this unit very versatile. Turn
the fan to low to deodorize small areas such as cars, RVs, boats, bedrooms or
ofces. This setting is also ideal for tenting damaged contents on-site. Turn
the fan to high and you have the ability to treat larger areas such as basements,
homes and businesses. In this case, auxiliary air movers should be used to help
evenly distribute the Odorox® hydroxyls.
For use in heavy odor concentrations, the best performance will take place if the
washable lter is removed prior to start up. This will ensure that the Odorox®
Boss™ unit continues to treat the source of the odors and does not also need to
treat odors coming from accumulation on the lter.
Recommended treatment area per Boss™

POWER ON
The main power for the Boss™ unit can
be switched on by turning the FAN SPEED
switch clockwise.
POWER OFF
The main power for the Boss™ unit can
be switched off by turning the FAN SPEED
switch counter clockwise to the
“OFF” position.
FAN SPEED
The Boss™ unit is equipped with a fan, which operates at between 250 and 500
cubic feet per minute.
In order for the fan to turn on, the FAN SPEED switch must be rotated clockwise.
Once turned on, the fan speed can be controlled by turning the FAN SPEED switch
clockwise to decrease the speed, or counter clockwise to increase the speed.
PROCESSOR
The Boss™ unit is equipped with two Odorox® hydroxyl generating optics. In
order for the optics to turn on, the FAN SPEED switch must be turned on.
With the FAN SPEED switch turned on, and the PROCESSOR switch in the LOW
position, one optic will be functioning. With the FAN SPEED switch turned on,
and the PROCESSOR switch in the HIGH position, two optics will be functioning.
With the FAN SPEED switch in the OFF position, the optics will likewise be off.

before performing any maintenance or cleaning on the unit.
SYSTEM CASE CLEANING
Exterior
The exterior of the Odorox® product can be cleaned with mild dishwashing
detergent and a clean cloth, and then rinsed with clean water. DO NOT use any
all-purpose cleaners with harsh detergents or abrasives, as these may damage
the exterior of the equipment and void any warranty. Care should also be
taken to avoid spraying or otherwise directing detergent or water into or around
electrical components.
Interior
The interior of the Odorox® product can be cleaned in the same manner as the
exterior with the exception of the optics and optics’ housing.
OPTIC CLEANING
Cleaning of the Odorox® optics is recommended to maintain peak processing
efciency. Fingerprints, smudges, dirt, dust particles, etc. will interfere with the
hydroxyl production and should be avoided.
Note: Remove the optics from the optic chamber prior to cleaning to avoid
any damage to the optics during the cleaning process (refer to the Optic
Replacement Instructions for proper removal).
To clean the optics, use a solution of 10% Isopropyl Alcohol and 90% ltered/
distilled water on a clean lint-free cloth and wipe gently. Do not use any type of
commercial glass cleaner. Using another lint-free cloth, gently wipe the optic until
completely dry. Allow the optic to dry completely before operating the system.
