ON.
2. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Also keep the
sales receipt, the gift box and the inner packaging.

fire or serious personal injury.
4. Before plugging the Kettle into the mains electrical supply, check that the voltage
and the power supply comply with the specifications indicated on the rating plate
of the appliance.
5. Always place the Kettle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface and ensure that the
surface is strong enough to take the weight of the unit during use.
6. The Kettle is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and may not be used for
commercial purposes. The Kettle may only be used for its intended purpose which
is to boil water.
7. Do not use the Kettle outdoors.
8. The Kettle may only be used with the supplied power base.
9. The Kettle may not be used with an external timer or a separate remote control
system.
10. Attachments not specifically recommended by the manufacturer must not be used
as they may cause personal injury or damage to the appliance.
11. Always keep the Kettle out of the reach of children. Close adult supervision is
necessary when the Kettle is used by or near children. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not to play with the Kettle.
12. The Kettle is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety and they fully understand the
hazards involved.
13. Never leave the Kettle unattended when in use.
14. Do not move or lift the Kettle while it is operating or when it is connected to the
mains electrical supply.
15. WARNING: Care must be taken when using the Kettle as it reaches very high
temperatures. The metal part is very HOT, don't touch the housing when and just
after the kettle boils.
16. Do not operate the Kettle if the plug or power cord has been damaged, if it is not
working properly or it has been dropped.
17. Check the power cord regularly for damage. If the power cord is damaged in any
way, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre in
order to avoid an electrical hazard.
18. Do not allow the power cord to hang over sharp edges or to come into contact
with hot surfaces.
19. Make sure that the Kettle is switched OFF and remove the plug from the mains
electrical supply before it is cleaned and when it is being repaired.
20. WARNING: To prevent the risk of electrical shock, never immerse the Kettle,
power cord, plug or any non-removable parts of this Kettle in water or any other
liquid.
21. When filling with water or when cleaning the Kettle, be sure not to wet the
bottom of the kettle or the base. Before putting the Kettle on the base, wipe away
any residual water with a dry cloth and check that the base, bottom of the kettle
and cord are all completely dry before reconnecting so as to avoid an electric
shock or short-out.
22. Do not use the Kettle with damp or wet hands.
23. To unplug the appliance, grasp the plug firmly and remove it from the mains
electrical supply. DO NOT PULL ON THE CORD.
24. Do not exceed the maximum water level mark as this may cause boiling water to
be ejected and cause danger from scalding.
25. To avoid burns, ensure that the kettle lid has been properly closed before using.
26. When the Kettle is in operation, do not open the kettle lid or move the kettle.
27. Do not switch on the kettle if it has no water in it as this will damage the kettle.
28. Make sure to turn the power switch off before removing the Kettle from the base.
29. Never use the appliance near or on hot surfaces.
30. Never use this appliance near a bathtub, shower or basin or in a damp or humid
area.
31. Make sure that the Kettle never comes into contact with flammable materials,
such as curtains, cloths etc and that the power cord and plug do not come into
contact with hot parts of this unit.
32. Never use the Kettle if it is damaged in any way.
33. NEVER attempt to repair the Kettle yourself. All repairs must be carried out by an
authorised service centre. Improper repairs may place the user at risk.

USING YOUR KETTLE
Before using this product, please read this manual carefully and adhere to all
instructions.
Before using the Kettle for the first time fill the Kettle with water to up to the maximum
indicator mark, boil and discard the boiling water. Repeat this instruction twice before
using the kettle.
1. Ensure that the Kettle is unplugged.
2. Open the lid and fill with cold water.
3. Never fill the Kettle when it is on the power base.
4. Fill the Kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Ensure that the kettle, power
base and cord are dry and put the kettle on the base.
5. Ensure that the water level is filled above the minimum water level mark and that it
does not exceed the maximum water level mark.
6. When the Kettle has been filled with water, place it firmly on its base.
7. Ensure that the lid is properly closed by pressing it down firmly to close.
8. Turn on the switch. Do not turn on the kettle switch before placing the kettle on the
base.
9. When the water has boiled, the Kettle will switch OFF automatically.
10. The Kettle may be switched OFF at any time by turning the ON/OFF switch to the off
position.
11. Do not pour the water out of the Kettle before the water inside the kettle stops
boiling.
12. Take care not to be scalded by boiling water.
13. If the kettle shuts down automatically before boiling, this indicates that there is too
much scale in the Kettle and that it should be descaled.
COLOUR CHANGING LED LIGHTS
The LED on the thermal plate lights up blue when switched on, changes to purple as the
water heats up and turns red when the water starts boiling.
TROUBLESHOOTING CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the mains plug from the mains electrical supply before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the Kettle, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
3. Clean the exterior by wiping with a slightly dampened cloth and immediately wipe
dry. Never use solvents, polish, abrasives or aerosol cleaners as they will damage the
surface of the Kettle
4. Ensure that the Kettle, power base and cord are completely dry before switching on
the Kettle.
HOW TO ELIMINATE SCALE
In order to keep the Kettle in good working order the scale must be frequently removed. If
the Kettle switches off before boiling, it must be descaled.
To descale, fill the Kettle with 1L cold water and add approximately 75ml vinegar.
Boil the water and allow it to stand overnight.
Re-boil the water the next day.
Empty the Kettle and fill with fresh water. Boil the water and then empty the kettle again.
Normal commercial descalers may be used. Follow the instructions on the packaging very
carefully.

- Faulty or improper installation
- Mains supply problems, including power spikes or lightning damage
- Infestation by insects
- Tampering or modification of the product by persons other than
authorised service personnel
- Exposure to abnormally corrosive materials
- Insertion of foreign objects into the unit
- Usage with accessories not pre-approved by Brabantia
- General wear and tear, including, but not limited to, minor discolouration

Solution
1. Check if there is scale build-up. If so, descale
as instructed.
2. Check if there is enough water in the kettle. If
not, boil dry protection will automatically be
activated. To reset the kettle, add cold water
to the kettle and after about 2 mins the
automatic protection device will reset and the
kettle will work.
1. Check if the connecting plug and socket are in
good working order.
2. If the power cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by an original factory part from an
authorised service centre.
3. When the kettle starts to boil dry, the
automatic boil dry protection device will shut
the power off. Reset as above.
1. Occasionally there is an initial odour when the
kettle is used for the first time. Boil and discard
the water a few times before using again.
2. If this problem persists, fill water to the
maximum mark, add two spoons of baking
soda to the water, boil and discard the water
after boiling.
1. Scale build-up is common in hard water areas
and is caused by calcium carbonate and
magnesium carbonate. Descale the kettle
regularly.

1. Ensure that the Kettle is unplugged.
2. Open the lid and fill with cold water.
3. Never fill the Kettle when it is on the power base.
4. Fill the Kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Ensure that the kettle, power
base and cord are dry and put the kettle on the base.
5. Ensure that the water level is filled above the minimum water level mark and that it
does not exceed the maximum water level mark.
6. When the Kettle has been filled with water, place it firmly on its base.
7. Ensure that the lid is properly closed by pressing it down firmly to close.
8. Turn on the switch. Do not turn on the kettle switch before placing the kettle on the
base.
9. When the water has boiled, the Kettle will switch OFF automatically.
10. The Kettle may be switched OFF at any time by turning the ON/OFF switch to the off
position.
11. Do not pour the water out of the Kettle before the water inside the kettle stops
boiling.
12. Take care not to be scalded by boiling water.
13. If the kettle shuts down automatically before boiling, this indicates that there is too
much scale in the Kettle and that it should be descaled.
COLOUR CHANGING LED LIGHTS
The LED on the thermal plate lights up blue when switched on, changes to purple as the
water heats up and turns red when the water starts boiling.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the mains plug from the mains electrical supply before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the Kettle, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
3. Clean the exterior by wiping with a slightly dampened cloth and immediately wipe
dry. Never use solvents, polish, abrasives or aerosol cleaners as they will damage the
surface of the Kettle
4. Ensure that the Kettle, power base and cord are completely dry before switching on
the Kettle.
HOW TO ELIMINATE SCALE
In order to keep the Kettle in good working order the scale must be frequently removed. If
the Kettle switches off before boiling, it must be descaled.
To descale, fill the Kettle with 1L cold water and add approximately 75ml vinegar.
Boil the water and allow it to stand overnight.
Re-boil the water the next day.
Empty the Kettle and fill with fresh water. Boil the water and then empty the kettle again.
Normal commercial descalers may be used. Follow the instructions on the packaging very
carefully.

GEBRUIK VAN DE WATERKOKER

8. Druk op de schakelaar voor het inschakelen van de waterkoker. Druk niet op de
schakelaar van de waterkoker, voordat de waterkoker op de basis staat.
9. Als het water heeft gekookt, wordt de waterkoker AUTOMATISCH uitgeschakeld.
10. De waterkoker kan te allen tijde worden uitgeschakeld door de aan/uit-schakelaar
in de uit-stand te zetten.

Probleem
De waterkoker wordt
automatisch
uitgeschakeld voordat het
water kookt.
De waterkoker werkt niet.
U ruikt een vreemde geur
in de waterkoker.
Oplossing
1. Controleer of sprake is van kalkophoping. In
dat geval moet de waterkoker volgens de
instructies worden ontkalkt.
2. Controleer of zich voldoende water in de
waterkoker bevindt. Als dat niet het geval is,
wordt de beveiliging tegen droogkoken
automatisch geactiveerd. Als u deze
beveiliging wilt resetten, moet u de waterkoker
vullen met koud water. Na ongeveer 2 minuten
wordt de automatische beveiliging tegen
droogkoken gereset, en werkt de waterkoker
weer.
1. Controleer of de stekker en het stopcontact
goed werken.
2. Als het stroomsnoer is beschadigd, moet dit
door een erkend servicecentrum worden
vervangen door een origineel snoer.
3. Als de waterkoker droogkookt, wordt de
waterkoker door de automatische beveiliging
tegen droogkoken uitgeschakeld. Reset de
waterkoker, zoals hierboven beschreven.
1. Het is mogelijk dat u een vreemde geur ruikt,
als de waterkoker voor het eerst wordt
gebruikt. Kook een paar keer water en gooi dit
weg, voordat u de waterkoker opnieuw
gebruikt.
2. Als dit probleem zich blijft voordoen, kunt u
het volgende doen: vul de waterkoker tot de
maximale markering met water, voeg twee
lepels soda toe aan het water, kook het water,
en gooi het water na het koken weg.
1. Opgehoopte kalk komt vaak voor in gebieden
met hard water, dit wordt veroorzaakt door
calciumcarbonaat en magnesiumcarbonaat.
Ontkalk de waterkoker regelmatig.

GEBRUIK VAN DE WATERKOKER
Lees voordat u dit product gebruikt deze handleiding aandachtig door, en volg alle
instructies op.
Voordat u de waterkoker voor de eerste keer gebruikt, moet de waterkoker eerst tot de

basis.
5. Controleer of het water zich boven de markering voor het minimale waterniveau
bevindt, en niet boven de markering voor het maximale waterniveau.
6. Plaats de waterkoker stevig op de basis, nadat deze is gevuld met water.
7. Controleer of het deksel goed gesloten is door het deksel stevig aan te drukken.
8. Druk op de schakelaar voor het inschakelen van de waterkoker. Druk niet op de
schakelaar van de waterkoker, voordat de waterkoker op de basis staat.
9. Als het water heeft gekookt, wordt de waterkoker AUTOMATISCH uitgeschakeld.
10. De waterkoker kan te allen tijde worden uitgeschakeld door de aan/uit-schakelaar
in de uit-stand te zetten.
11. Giet geen water uit de waterkoker, voordat het water in de waterkoker is gestopt
met koken.
12. Zorg ervoor dat u zich niet brandt door kokend water.
13. Als de waterkoker automatisch wordt uitgeschakeld voordat het water kookt,
betekent dit dat zich te veel kalk in de waterkoker bevindt, en dat deze moet
worden ontkalkt.
VAN KLEUR VERANDERENDE LED
De LED op de thermische plaat brandt blauw als de waterkoker is ingeschakeld,
verandert in paars als het water opwarmt, en wordt rood als het water begint te koken.
PROBLEMEN OPLOSSEN REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
1. Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact, voordat u start met de reiniging.
2. Dompel de waterkoker, het stroomsnoer of de stekker nooit in water of een andere
vloeistof.
3. Reinig de buitenkant door deze met een vochtige doek schoon te vegen en
onmiddellijk droog te vegen. Gebruik nooit oplosmiddel, poetsmiddel, schuurmiddel
of een spuitbus, aangezien deze middelen het oppervlak van de waterkoker kunnen
beschadigen.
4. Controleer of de waterkoker, de basis en het snoer droog zijn, voordat u de

KALK VERWIJDEREN

MODE D’EMPLOI DE LA BOUILLOIRE
Veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel en respectant les consignes d’utilisation une à une.
Avant la toute première utilisation de l’appareil, remplir l’appareil d’eau jusqu’au niveau
maximum, faites-la bouillir avant de la jeter. Répétez cette opération deux fois avant de
pouvoir utiliser l’appareil.
1. Assurez-vous que la bouilloire est débranchée.
2. Ouvrez le couvercle et remplissez l’appareil d’eau froide.
3. Ne versez jamais d’eau dans l’appareil lorsqu’il est positionné sur le socle
d’alimentation.
4. Remplissez la bouilloire avec la quantité souhaitée d'eau douce. Assurez-vous que
l’appareil, le socle d’alimentation et le cordon sont bien secs avant de positionner
la bouilloire sur son socle.
5. Assurez-vous que le niveau d’eau contenu dans la bouilloire est supérieur au niveau
minimum et inférieur ou égal au niveau maximum.
6. Lorsque la bouilloire est remplie d'eau, assurez-vous de bien la positionner sur son
socle.
7. Appuyez énergiquement sur le couvercle pour vous assurer qu’il est bien refermé.
8. Allumez le commutateur. Ne l’allumez pas tant que l’appareil n’est pas bien
emboîté sur son socle d’alimentation.
9. Une fois que l'eau bout, la bouilloire s'éteint automatiquement.
10. Vous pouvez éteindre l’appareil à tout moment en mettant le commutateur
marche/arrêt sur la position Arrêt.
11. N’utilisez pas l’eau tant que le processus d’ébullition n’est pas à son terme.
12. Faites attention de ne pas vous brûler avec l’eau bouillante.
13. Si l’appareil s’arrête automatiquement avant l’ébullition, cela signifie qu’il contient
trop de tartre et doit être détartré.
VOYANT LED À COULEURS CHANGEANTES

GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
1. Débranchez l'appareil avant de le nettoyer.

3. Essuyez la paroi externe de la bouilloire à l’aide d’un chiffon humide avant de bien la

solvants, de polissage, abrasifs ou des aérosols, car ils peuvent endommager la
surface de l’appareil.
4. Assurez-vous que l’appareil, la base d’alimentation et le cordon sont bien secs avant
la mise en marche de l’appareil.
PROCÉDURE DE DÉTARTRAGE
Pour un fonctionnement optimal de l’appareil, procédez régulièrement à son détartrage. Si
l’appareil s’éteint avant la fin de l’ébullition, procédez à son détartrage.
Pour détartrer, remplir la bouilloire d’1 l d'eau froide et ajouter approximativement 75 ml
de vinaigre.
Faire bouillir le mélange eau et vinaigre et laisser reposer pendant toute une nuit. Faire
bouillir l’eau à nouveau le lendemain.
Videz le contenu de la bouilloire et remplissez-le d’eau froide une seconde fois. Refaites
bouillir l’eau avant de la jeter à nouveau.
Vous pouvez utiliser des produits de détartrage commerciaux à condition de bien
respecter les consignes d’utilisation mentionnées sur l’emballage.
