Installation
Positioning the Appliance
The BUFFALO Outdoor Heater has a maximum heating range of 3
metres.
Always ensure the following measurements are observed when
positioning the appliance [Fig. 1]:
• Minimum of 2.75m from the floor
• Minimum of 0.5m from any ceiling or cover
• Minimum of 50mm from the wall
Mounting the Appliance
1. Decide on a suitable position for the appliance.
2. Remove the mounting bracket from the appliance (if fixed).
3. Use the bracket as a template to mark the screw holes in the mounting substrate.
4. Fix the bracket to the substrate using suitable fixings for the mounting substrate (not supplied).
5. Loosely attach the appliance to the bracket using the fixings supplied, and in the order shown [Fig. 2] .
6. Fix the lamp at the required angle (max. 50º) and tighten both nuts to secure.
7. Ensure the power cable is secured away from the heat of the appliance.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
• A BUFFALO dealer or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.
• Always switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and allow to cool before cleaning or
performing maintenance.
WARNING: Only connect the appliance to a weatherproof socket designed for exterior
use. If in doubt consult a qualified technician.
WARNING: Ensure the mounting substrate is suitable
and can support the weight of the appliance.
Note: Ensure the appliance is mounted a safe distance from any flammable objects or

Cleaning the Inside of the Appliance
After 100 hours of use BUFFALO recommend that the inside of the glass and the reflector is cleaned with
a lint-free cloth.
To clean the interior:
1. Switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and allow to cool.
2. Loosen the two screws above the glass panel.
3. Swing the glass panel down.
4. Carefully wipe the element, glass panel and reflective surfaces clean with a lint-free cloth.
Replace the Halogen Element
1. Switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and allow to cool.
2. Unscrew the two screws above the glass panel.
3. Swing the glass panel down.
4. Lift the element from the sockets, one end at a time.
5. Replace the new element; slotting it into place.
6. Re-attach the glass panel; ensuring it is clean.
7. Secure with the two screws. Tighten fully to ensure a water tight seal.

Werking
Plaatsing van het apparaat
De BUFFALO verwarmingslamp voor gebruik buitenshuis heeft een
maximaal verwarmingsbereik van 3 meter.
Neem altijd de volgende richtafmetingen in acht bij het opstellen
van het apparaat [afb. 1]:
• Minimaal 2,75 m van de vloer
• Minimaal 0,5 m van plafond of dekzeil
• Minimaal 50 mm van de muren af.
Montage van het apparaat
1. Kies een geschikte locatie voor het apparaat.
2. Haal de montagebeugel van het apparaat (indien bevestigd).
3. Gebruik de beugel als een sjabloon om de schroefgaten op de montageondergrond te markeren.
4. Bevestig de beugel met bevestigingsonderdelen op de montageondergrond (niet meegeleverd) .
5. Bevestig het apparaat met de meegeleverde bevestigingsonderdelen losjes aan de beugel en dit in de
afgebeelde volgorde [afb. 2].
6. Zet de lamp in de gewenste hoek (max. 50º) en draai beide moeren aan.
7. Vergewis u ervan dat de stoomkabel niet in de richting van de lampwarmte wordt geplaatst maar
ervan verwijderd.
WAARSCHUWING: dit apparaat alleen op een weersbestendig stopcontact ontworpen
voor extern gebruik aansluiten. Bij twijfels raadpleeg een vakkundig installateur.
WAARSCHUWING: zorg dat de gebruikte
montageondergrond geschikt is en het gewicht van
het apparaat kan dragen.
Opmerking: vergewis u ervan dat het apparaat op een veilige afstand van brandbare
voorwerpen of oppervlakken wordt gemonteerd.

Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
• Eventuele reparaties moeten door een BUFFALO vertegenwoordiger of een vaktechnicus worden
uitgevoerd.
• Alvorens dit apparaat te reinigen of onderhoud uit te voeren, dient men altijd de steker uit het
stopcontact te halen en het apparaat te laten afkoelen.
Binnenkant van het apparaat reinigen
BUFFALO raadt aan om na 100 gebruiksuren de binnenkant van het glas en de reflector te reinigen met een
pluisvrije doek.
Om de binnenkant te reinigen:
1. Zet het apparaat uit, haal de steker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat afkoelen.
2. Draai de twee schroeven boven het glaspaneel los.
3. Schuif het glaspaneel omlaag.
4. Maak de halogeenlamp, glaspaneel en reflectoroppervlakken voorzichtig schoon met een pluisvrije doek.
Halogeenlamp vervangen
1. Zet het apparaat uit, haal de steker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat afkoelen.
2. Draai de twee schroeven boven het glaspaneel los.
3. Schuif het glaspaneel omlaag.
4. Haal de halogeenlamp uit de contacthouders, een zijde per keer.
5. Plaats de nieuwe halogeenlamp; klik het op zijn plaats.
6. Plaats het glaspaneel na reiniging weer terug.
7. Maak de twee schroeven vast. Goed vastdraaien zodat een waterdichte isolatie wordt gegarandeerd.
Oplossen van problemen
Indien er een storing van uw BUFFALO product optreedt, dient u de onderstaande tabel te raadplegen
alvorens contact op te nemen met uw BUFFALO dealer of de Hulplijn te bellen.
Opmerking: het oppervlak van de nieuwe halogeenlamp NIET met uw handen aanraken!
Gebruik altijd een pluisvrije doek of geschikte handschoenen.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de steker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L

Operation
Choisir l'emplacement de l'appareil
Le chauffage de terrasse BUFFALO a une portée maximum de trois
mètres.
Veillez à toujours tenir compte des distances suivantes en
choisissant l'emplacement de votre appareil [Fig. 1]:
• Au moins 2,75 m du sol
• Au moins 0,5 m d'un plafond ou d'un couvercle quelconques
• Au moins 50 mm d'un mur
Installation de l'appareil
1. Décidez de l'endroit le mieux adapté à l'installation de
l'appareil.
2. Retirez la patte de fixation de l'appareil (si montée).
3. Utilisez l'équerre comme gabarit de montage, pour indiquer les trous de vis sur le support de montage.
4. Montez la patte de fixation sur le support de montage, à l'aide de fixations appropriées au type de
support (non fournies).
5. Reliez l'appareil à la patte de fixation, sans serrer, à l'aide des fixations fournies et dans l'ordre
préconisé [Fig 2].
6. Bloquez la lampe à l'angle voulu (maxi. 50º) et vissez les deux écrous pour la caler.
7. Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation soit suffisamment éloigné de la chaleur de l'appareil.
ATTENTION : Ne branchez l'appareil qu'à une prise étanche conçue pour un usage en
plein air. En cas de doute, demandez conseil à un électricien qualifié.
ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que le support de fixation
est sain et assez solide pour soutenir le poids de
l'appareil.
Remarque : Veillez à ce que l'appareil soit monté suffisamment loin de tous objets ou
surfaces inflammables.

Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance
• Les réparations, le cas échéant, doivent être confiées à un agent BUFFALO ou à un technicien qualifié.
• N'oubliez jamais d'éteindre l'appareil, d'en débrancher le cordon d'alimentation et de le laisser refroidir
avant de le nettoyer ou de le soumettre à une opération de maintenance.
Nettoyage de l'intérieur de l'appareil
Après 100 heures de service, BUFFALO vous recommande de nettoyer l'intérieur du verre et le réflecteur à
l'aide d'un chiffon non pelucheux.
Pour nettoyer l'intérieur :
1. Éteignez l'appareil, débranchez-le et laissez-le refroidir.
2. Desserrez les deux vis situées au-dessus du panneau de verre.
3. Faites pivoter le panneau de verre vers le bas.
4. Essuyez précautionneusement l'élément, le panneau de verre et les surfaces réfléchissantes à l'aide
d'un tissu non pelucheux.
Pour changer l'élément halogène
1. Éteignez l'appareil, débranchez-le et laissez-le refroidir.
2. Dévissez les deux vis situées au-dessus du panneau de verre.
3. Faites pivoter le panneau de verre vers le bas.
4. Soulevez l'élément par les douilles, un côté à la fois.
5. Changez l'élément en insérant l'élément neuf à sa place.
6. Remontez le panneau de verre, après avoir vérifié qu'il était propre.
7. Calez l'ensemble avec les deux vis. Vissez à fond, pour garantir l'étanchéité de l'ensemble.
Dépannage
En cas de panne de votre appareil BUFFALO, vérifiez les données du tableau ci-dessous avant d'appeler
notre standard d'assistance ou votre revendeur BUFFALO.
Remarque : NE TOUCHEZ PAS la surface du nouvel élément à mains nues ! Utilisez un
tissu non pelucheux ou des gants adaptés.

Bitte nehmen Sie sich einige Minuten Zeit und lesen Sie dieses Handbuch sorgfältig durch. Nur bei korrekter
Wartung und vorschriftsgemäßem Betrieb kann Ihr BUFFALO-Produkt optimale Leistung erzielen.

Montage
Geräteposition wählen
Die BUFFALO Wärmelampe für Außenanwendungen heizt auf eine
maximale Entfernung von 3 Metern.
Beim Aufstellen des Geräts stets darauf achten, dass folgende
Abstände beachtet werden [Abb. 1]:
• Mindestens 2,75 m Abstand vom Boden
• Mindestens 0,5 m Abstand von einer Decke oder Abdeckung
• Mindestens 50 mm Abstand von Wänden
Gerät anbringen
1. Eine geeignete Position für das Gerät wählen.
2. Die Halterung vom Gerät abnehmen (sofern angebracht).
3. Die Halterung dazu verwenden, um die benötigten Schraubenpositionen im Trägermaterial zu
markieren.
4. Die Halterung mit geeigneten Schrauben (nicht im Lieferumfang) für das jeweilige Trägermaterial
anbringen.
5. Die Lampe locker mit Hilfe der mitgelieferten Schrauben in der angegebenen Reihenfolge [Abb. 2] an
der Halterung befestigen.
6. Die Lampe im benötigten Winkel (max. 50°) anbringen und beide Muttern fest anziehen.
7. Darauf achten, dass das Stromkabel nicht mit der Wärme der Lampe in Berührung kommen kann.
VORSICHT: Das Gerät nur an eine wetterfeste Steckdose für Außenanwendungen
anschließen. Bei Fragen wenden Sie sich bitte an einen qualifizierten Elektriker.
VORSICHT: Darauf achten, dass das Trägermaterial,
an dem die Lampe befestigt wird, das Gewicht des
Geräts tragen kann.
Hinweis: Darauf achten, dass das Gerät in sicherem Abstand von entflammbaren
Objekten oder Flächen montiert wird.

Reinigung, Pflege und Wartung
• Erforderliche Reparaturen sollten von einem BUFFALO-Händler oder einem qualifizierten Techniker
ausgeführt werden.
• Vor Reinigen des Geräts oder Wartungsarbeiten stets das Gerät ausschalten, den Netzstecker ziehen
und warten, bis sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat.
Das Geräteinnere reinigen
BUFFALO empfiehlt, Glas und Reflektor nach 100 Betriebsstunden von innen mit einem fusselfreien Tuch
zu reinigen.
Reinigung:
1. Das Gerät ausschalten, vom Netzstrom trennen und abkühlen lassen.
2. Die beiden Schrauben über der Glasplatte lockern.
3. Die Glasplatte nach unten klappen.
4. Element, Glasplatte und Reflektorflächen mit einem fusselfreien Tuch abwischen.
Halogenelement auswechseln
1. Das Gerät ausschalten, vom Netzstrom trennen und abkühlen lassen.
2. Die beiden Schrauben über der Glasplatte lösen.
3. Die Glasplatte nach unten klappen.
4. Das Element zuerst an einem Ende, dann am anderen aus den Fassungen nehmen.
5. Das neue Element einsetzen und in Position einrasten lassen.
6. Die Glasplatte wieder befestigen; darauf achten, dass sie sauber ist.
7. Mit den beiden Schrauben befestigen. Schrauben fest anziehen, sodass eine wasserdichte Verbindung
entsteht.
Störungssuche
Bei einem Defekt Ihres BUFFALO-Geräts konsultieren Sie bitte zunächst folgende Tabelle, bevor Sie die
Helpline oder Ihren BUFFALO-Händler anrufen.
Hinweis: Die Flächen des neuen Elements NICHT mit bloßen Händen berühren! Mit
einem fusselfreien Tuch oder geeigneten Handschuhen anfassen.
