esotec Solar Globe Light multicolor 20 User manual

3. Function and Intended Use
The solar light is designed for year-round outdoor use. It can either be
mounted using the enclosed earth spike or placed directly on the ground.
This globe isn´t oatable and can´t be placed on of water!
The solar light must be placed free of shade from the sun. A south, east
or west side is recommended. Shady northern sides are not suitable for
solar lights.
The light colour can be changed or xed. This can be adjusted with the IR
remote control included in the delivery.
The built-in rechargeable battery is charged by the solar panel inside. The
luminaire switches on automatically at dusk and off again at dawn or when
the battery is discharged.
2 powerful RGBW light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are used as the light source.
These LEDs guarantee high luminosity with low power consumption and a
service life of over 50,000 hours.
Note: During longer periods without sunlight, the battery may be
insufciently charged by sunlight. However, this does not mean that the
solar light is defective. Wait for the next sunny days and the light will
function appropriately again.
The battery should be replaced every 2-3 years on average!
4. Putting into Operation
1. Carefully remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Switch ON the globe by pressing the switch on the underside of the
globe (Pic. 1).
3. Find a sunny place for the globe that is as free of shade as possible.
The globe can be placed on the ground, xed with the earth spike or
mounted in an elevated position using the plastic tube.
4. In the dark, take the remote control and pull out the plastic strip at the
bottom to activate it (Pic. 2).
5. The light ball has 9 different light colours, which can be set individually
via the remote control as a continuous light or as an alternating light.
The light is now ready for use!
Note: The duration of illumination is strongly dependent on the intensity
and duration of sunlight during the day. In the winter months, you can
generally expect less lighting time. If the lamp does not light up on the
rst evening, please wait for a sunny day.
Note: The globe can be conveniently controlled at night using the IR
remote control. The IR remote control must be pointed directly at the
globe.
Note: If the globe is switched off via the IR remote control, the battery
will still be charged when the globe is exposed to sunlight.
Functions of the IR remote control:
On/off: Light can be switched ON or OFF.
“Cycle”: The alternating light mode is acti-
vated. The light colours change slowly in a
rhythm of approx. 2 seconds.
“R,G,B ....”: By pressing the key, light
colour is fixed accordingly. To return to
the colour change mode, simply press the
“Cycle” button again.
