GettingStarted:
OKsoyouhavetheV2,itlooksprettycoolandyouwanttoget
going.That’sgreat,basicallyallyoureallyneedtodoisputa
batteryinandstartpressingthebuttons.Youwillprobablyfigure
outhoweverythingworkswithoutmuchtrouble.However,for
thoseofyouwhowouldlikealittleinfobeforejumpingin,hereare
somebasics.
TheAmpbuttonisyourpoweronbutton,butthere
isatwist.Intheworldofguitars,therearebasicallytwotypesof
pickups:singlecoil-theclassicFendersoundanddoublecoil-
theclassicGibsonsound.Thoseofyouwhohavebothtypesof
guitar,knowhowdifferentthesetwoguitarscansoundthrough
thesameamp.
Inordertocompensateforthesetwodistinctlydifferentinput
signalsourlittleV2ampissetupwith:onewith
thepre-ampoptimizedforsinglecoilpickups,indicatedbya
andoneoptimizedfordoublecoilpickups,indicatedwitha
.JusttaptheAmpbuttontoscrollbetweenthetwo.
Understandthough,thatyoudonothavetoplayinthe“correct”
onposition;itispurelyamatterofwhattoneyoulike.The
primaryreasonwedidthisisbecausecertainhighoutputdouble
coilpickupsmaytendtodistortthecleansettingsiftheV2is“on”
insinglecoilmode.Otherthanthat,feelfreetoexperimentallyou
want.

helpfulwhenyouarefirsttryingtolearntheproductand
familiarizeyourselfwiththevastarrayoftonesandeffects.This
featurecanbedisabledatanytimebypressingandholding
downthetunebuttonfor3-seconds.

AutoShutdown: YouneverhavetoworryaboutturningtheV2
off.TheV2hasanautoshutdownfeature,thatwillautomatically
turntheunitoffwhenithasbeenidleorinactiveforthree(3)
minutes.Youcanmanuallyturntheunitoffbysimplyholding
downtheAmpbuttonfor3seconds,butyoureallydon’thaveto
worryaboutitbecausetheV2willshutdownautomaticallyifyou

V2,wegotourhandsonalloftheclassicamps,
crankedthemupandanalyzedtheelectronicdata:
tubes,transformers,capacitors,tonecontrolcurves
andeverythingelseaffectingthesoundcharacteristics.
Thegainandequalizationcharacteristicsofeachof
theseampswerecarefullymeasuredsothatourV2
settingswouldcloselymatchtheoriginals.Tone
controlfrequencies,slopes,transientsandboost/cut
rangeweremeticulouslyanalyzed.Wealsocarefully
attendedtotheeffectsofpresenceswitches,“bright’
channelsetc.Also,sincevintageampstendedtohave
highlyinteractivetonecircuits,wepaidcarefulattention
tothewaythesettingofoneknobaffectedthewaythat
anotherknobontheampbehaved.Theresultisa
collectionofamptonesinthePocketRock-itV2that
emulatetheclassicampsofourtimes:three(3)clean
orslightlyover-driventones,andthree(3)dirty,
positivelynastyhighgaintones.
ClickTrack:
TheV2hasabuiltinclicktrack/metronome.Itis
activatedwiththeClickbutton.Thebuttonisa
threepositionbuttonthatallowsyoutoturntheclickon,
andchoosebetweentwopresetvolumelevels.The
presetvolumesallowyoutoselectanappropriate
volumerelativetothevolumeofyourguitar.Clickvol-1
isalowvolumewhichwillbasicallybeheardintheback
ground.Clickvol-2ishighervolumewhichwillmake
theclickmorepredominantinthemixsoiteasierto
hear.Ateithervolumelevel,theclicktoneisanatural
