Scrapping old appliances
This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
WEEE contains both polluting substances (which can cause negative consequences for the
environment) and basic components (which can be re-used). It is important to have WEEE
subjected to specific treatments, in order to remove and dispose properly all pollutants, and
recover and recycle all materials.
Individuals can play an important role in ensuring that WEEE does not become an
environmental issue; it is essential to follow some basic rules:
-WEEE should not be treated as household waste;
-WEEE should be handed over to the relevant collection points managed by the municipality
or by registered companies. In many countries, for large WEEE, home collection could be
present.
In many countries, when you buy a new appliance, the old one may be returned to the retailer
who has to collect it free of charge on a one-to-one basis, as long as the equipment is of
equivalent type and has the same functions as the supplied equipment.

Installation location:
1. Ventilation condition
The position you select for the refrigerator installation should be

well-ventilated and has less hot air. Do not locate the refrigerator near a
heat source such as cooker, and avoid it from direct sunlight, thus
guaranteeing the refrigeration effect while saving energy consumption. Do
not locate the refrigerator in the damp place, so as to prevent the
refrigerator from rusting and leaking electricity. The result of the total
space of the room in which the refrigerator is installed being divided by the
refrigerant charge amount of the refrigerator shall not be less than 8 g/ M3.
Note: The amount of refrigerant charged for the refrigerator can be found
on the nameplate.
2. Heat dissipation space
When working, the refrigerator gives off heat to surroundings. Therefore,
at least 30mm of free space should be spared at the top side, more
than 100mm on both sides, and above 50mm at the back side of the
refrigerator. Dimensions in mm:

3. Level ground
Place the refrigerator on the solid and flat ground (floor) to keep it stable, or
else, it will give rise to vibration and noise. When the refrigerator is placed on
such flooring materials as carpet, straw mat, polyvinyl chloride, the solid
backing plates should be applied underneath the refrigerator, so as to prevent
color change due to heat dissipation.

III. Functions
When the refrigerator system is connected to power supply for the first
time, all icons on the display panel gets illuminated for 2s, and the system
runs at -18℃by default.
1
Functions
1.1
Temperature setting
Temperature can be adjusted by pressing the ‘SET’ key. Every time when
the “SET” key is pressed, the current mode indicator lights off while the next
mode indicator lights up, with the said mode setting validated if no key
operation within 5s (or else, the mode setting will be invalid). After the
setting takes effect, temperature will be immediately controlled as per the
mode setting.
The temperature modes cycle as following: “-16
℃
→-18
℃
→-20
℃
→-22
℃
→-24℃→(fast freezing)→-16℃”
1.2
Fast freezing
When the fast freezing function is enabled, the compartment temperature
can be cooled down in a rapid manner, which is beneficial to the prevention
of food nutrition against lost and the preservation of freshness.

15
After a cumulative running period of 26 hours, the fast freezing function will
exit automatically, with the temperature mode restored to that set before the
fast freezing function is enabled.
1.3
Door open alarm
When the refrigerator door keeps open for more than 3 minutes, the buzzer
starts issuing alarms, which can be suspended for 3 minutes by pressing any
key, but they will not be stopped until the said door gets closed.
1.4
Power-cut memory
In case of power failure, the refrigerator will maintain the operating state
before power failure when power supply is restored.
1.5
Power-on delay
In order to protect the refrigerator compressor from being damaged in the
case of short-time power failure (i.e., less than 5 minutes), the compressor
will not be started immediately after it is powered on.
1.6
Defrosting
The refrigerator can defrost automatically or manually.
When the refrigerator is not defrosting, the automatic defrosting program can
be enabled by holding down the SET key for 15s, with all the mode indicator
lights illuminated, refrigeration stopped, and defrost heating started. During
the defrosting process, you can hold down the SET key for 3s to stop
defrosting manually, or wait until the defrosting program gets exited
automatically.
In order to avoid frequent defrosting actions of the refrigerator, do not access
to the defrost function during the defrosting process; and make sure not to
enable the defrost function again within 10 minutes after it is manually
disabled.
1.7
Fault alarm
When the alarm indicator keeps flashing (with the corresponding indicator
light of “-16, -20, -24, or fast freezing” flickering simultaneously), it indicates
fault with the refrigerator. Please contact the aftersales person for visiting

TIPS FOR FOOD STORAGE
Position different food in different compartments according to be below table:
Refrigerator compartment
Type of food
Door or balconies of fridge
compartment
•Foods with natural preservatives, such as
jams,juices, drinks, condiments
•
Do not store perishable foods
Crisper drawers (salad drawer)
•Fruits, herbs and vegetables should be placed
separately in the crisper bin
•Do not store bananas, onions, potatoes, garlic in
the refrigerator
Fridge shelf – middle
•Dairy products, eggs
Fridge shelf – top
•Foods that do not need cocking, such as ready-
to-eat foods, deli meats, leftovers
Freezer drawer(s)/tray
•Foods for long-term storage
•Bottom drawer for raw meat, poultry, fish
•Middle drawer for frozen vegetables, chips
•Top tray for ice cream, frozen fruit, frozen baked
goods
➢It’s suggested to set the temperature at 4°C in the fridge compartment, and, whether
possible,at-18°C in the freezer compartment.
➢For most food categories, the longest storage time in the fridge compartment is achieved
with colder temperatures. Since some particular products (as fresh fruits and vegetables)
may be damaged with colder temperatures, it is suggested to keep them in the crisper
drawers, whenever present. Ifnot present, maintain anaverage setting of the thermostat.
➢For frozen food, refer to the storage time written on the food packaging. This storage
time is achieved whenever the setting respects the reference temperatures of the
compartment (one-star -6°C, two stars -12°C, three stars -18°C)

Tips for freezing fresh food
➢The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storingfrozen and deep-
frozen food for a long time
➢Place the fresh food to be frozen in the freezer compartment

plate
➢The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this period do not add other food to be frozen
Tips for storing food in the freezer
➢Keep the freezer temperature at -18°C
➢Hot foot mustbe cooled to room temperature before storingin the freezer compartment
➢Food cut into small portions will freeze faster and will be easier to defrost and cook. The
recommended weight for each portion is less than 2.5 kg
➢It is better to pack the food before putting it into the freezer.
➢Defrosted food cannot be re-frozenunless it is first cooked
➢Do not load excessive quantities of fresh food in the freezer compartment
➢Food can be stored in the freezer at a temperature of at least -18°C for 2 to 12 months,
depending on its properties (e.g. meat: 3-12 months, vegetables 6-12 months). Do not
exceed the food storage time recommended by the manufacturers.
