Before you start
To avoid the risks that are always present when you use
an electrical appliance it is important that this appliance is
installed correctly and that you read the safety instructions
carefully to avoid misuse and hazards. Please keep this
instruction booklet for future reference and pass it on to any
future owners. After unpacking the appliance please check
that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance
but contact Customer Services on 0344 800 1128 (UK),
0144 75261 (Ireland) and 01 56 48 02 60 (France).
Check the package and make sure you have all of the
parts listed.
Decide on the appropriate location for your product.
If this product contains glass please take care when tting
or handling to prevent personal injury or damage to the
product.
The specications plate is available on this appliance. This
plate displays all the necessary identication information for
ordering replacement parts.
If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind
when you move house, make sure you also pass on this
manual so that the new owner can become familiar with the
appliance and its safety warnings.

Make sure that the power cord is not

be prone to water leaks such as under or
near a sink unit. In the event of a water
leak allow the machine to dry naturally.

Caution: Good ventilation is required
around the freezer for easier dissipation
of heat, high freezing efciency and
low power consumption. Sufcient
clearance is required around the freezer.
The freezer should not be placed near
anything that may echo.
Caution: The oor on which the freezer
is to be placed must be at and solid.
It should not be placed on soft material
such as foam-backed vinyl, etc.
Connect the freezer to the power supply
(220 to 240V~/50 Hz).
Warning: Keep ventilation openings, in
the appliance enclosure or in the built-in
structure, clear of obstruction.
Warning: Do not use mechanical
devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
Warning: Do not damage the refrigerant
circuit.

inside the food storage compartments of

(thermostat)
The temperature of freezer can be
controlled manually by the knob.
However,the number shown on the
knob does not directly represent
the temperature.Instead, the larger
the number is, the lower the interior
temperature will be. 0 stands for off.
Turn the knob to state 4 when it is
normal used, turn it to the state during
4-7 if a lower interior temperature is
required;contrarily, to the state during
4-1, when a higher one is needed.

NOTE: Water contained inside or air getting into the freezer
when the door is opened forms a layer of frost inside.
Thick frost will make the freezer less efcient.Frost that is
more than 5 mm thick should be defrosted.

and the shelf separately from
cold chamber -A-.
2. Defrosting in the freezer
chamber is operated manually.
Set the temperature regulator
to position “0”.
3. Leave the unit door open.
4. Keep removing water from the
base to avoid spillages.

NOTE: The compressor will stop running and ice and frost will
dissolve completely and fall to the bottom of the freezer chamber.
5. Wipe off the water with soft cloth in order to speed up
defrosting.
6. You may put a bowl of warm water (about 50 °C) into the
refrigerator chamber. Remember to set the temperature
regulator to its original position after defrosting.
7. So as not damage the inner casing or the surface of the
evaporator, ice and frost should not be scraped off and food
should not be separated from containers that have been
frozen together using sharp instruments.

Care and maintenance
•The freezer should be cleaned and maintained once a month.
•Wipe the inner and outer surface of the freezer and its
accessories with wet cloth. If they are too dirty, scrub them
with a neutral detergent and then clean with water and dry
with a clean cloth.
•Be careful to check the rubber seals on the doors, as they
should remain clean.
