3. Safety Instructions
The installation can only be fullfilled by trained specialists. The installation has to be done while the car‘s
battery is unplugged. The usage of the Active Sound Gateway BLE is only applicable for the car models
mentioned in this mounting guideline. The installation has to be done step by step as it‘s described in this
mounting guideline.The Cete Automotive GmbH does not take responsibility for damages, caused through:
• inproper installation
• the usage of unsuitable connectors
• installations in not mentioned car models
The producer reserves the right to change components without giving reasons Errors and omissions excep-
ted
4. General Informations
We ask you to read this manual thoroughly and completely and uphold to the given instructions. During
the development we focused on safety, ease of use, design, innovative development, etc, to guarantee a
high qualtiy product for the consumer. Despite the greatest care improper installation and using or incorrect
operation can result in material damages. Depending on the product and it‘s purpose it may be necessary
to check the legal requirements of the country before commissioning. To receive consideration for warran-
ty claims the product hast to be send back with it‘s original package, the proof of purchase and an error
description. Please note the returns policies. The warranty regulations apply. The warrenty claim and the
operating permit expires through: unauthorized modication of the product, own repairings, violent impacts,
improper use, opening the case.
5. General remarks
The Active Sound Gateway prevent the communication between the control unit for engine sound
generation and the gateway of the vehicle. You don‘t have any limitations or error reports in the FIS. In the
fault memory entry of the vehicle will be displayed, that the communication of the control unit isn‘t possible
in this moment.
If you also want this message to be hidden in the fault memory entry, you have to remove the control unit
out of the shoring register of the gateway. Therefore you need a conding interface. Please open the Stg 19
(gateway) and open the shoring list. Just remove the check mark for the control unit with the adress C0. After
saving your fault memory entry will be empty.
You also won‘t get an error with the insufcent communication, if you remove the Active Sound Gateway.
This means, that your vehicle will behave like in the original conditon. This method will only be applied for
the Audi A6 / A7 / SQ5 BiTurbo TDI models.

7. Declaration of conformity
The product meet the demands of the following EC-directives:
•1999/5/EG (R&TTE)
•UN/ECE R10 (radio interference of motor vehicles)
•2002/95/EG (RoHS-directives)
•2002/96/EG (WEEE-directives)
You can get the completed declaration of conformity on request.
Step 4) Active Sound Gateway
Now plug the Active Sound Gatway between
the control unit and the harness.
For the reinstallation please carry out all steps
backwards.
Step 3) Control unit
Locate the control unit (see picture). It could be
also located behind the amplier.
Step 2) Place of installation
On the left side of the (Rear-)trunk you can nd a
cover. Please open this cover.
Step 1) Place of installation
You can nd the place of installation in the (Rear-)
trunk of your car. In the rst step open the (Rear-)
trunk.
8. Installation ASG (A4 / A5)
Step 2) Place of installation (A6 Avant)
Remove the panel at the right side of your (Rear-)
trunk.
Step 1) Place of installation (A6 Avant)
The place of installation is located in the (Rear-)
trunk of the vehicle on the right side(see gure).
Step 2) Place of installation (A6 / A7)
Take the grid out of it‘s mount and push it out-
wards. Twist the locking clip in a 90 degree angle
and pull them off.

The place of installation is located in the (Rear-)
trunk of the vehicle (see gure).
9. Installation ASG (A6 / A6 Avant / A7)
Step 4) Active Sound Gateway
(A6 / A6 Avant / A7)
Now plug the Active Sound Gatway between
the control unit and the harness.
For the reinstallation please carry out all steps
backwards.
Step 3) Control unit (A6 / A6 Avant / A7)
Locate the control unit (see picture).

Step 4) Place of installation
Remove the cover at the left side (see picture).
Step 1) Place of installation
In the next step loosen the screws of the holder.
Therefor you have to unscrew two screws out of
both holders.
Step 2) Place of installation
Now remove all bottom covers.
Step 1) Place of installation
You can nd the place of installation in the (Rear-)
trunk of your car. In the rst step open the (Rear-)
trunk.
10. Installation ASG (SQ5 / Porsche Macan)

Step 6) Preparation
For an easier installation of the Active Sound
Gateway just dismatle the two screw-nuts of the
control unit.
Step 5) Control unit
After removing the cover on the left side just lo-
cate the control unit (see picture).

Now plug the Active Sound Gatway between
the control unit and the harness.
