1. Before you begin
Read this document thoroughly before you install and use the product.
Bear the following instructions in mind:
•The installation of this product must be executed by a trained professional.
•Electrical connections may only be executed, repaired and maintained by a certified.
electrician. All relevant local, regional and national electrical regulations must be respected
•Incorrect installation may lead to damage or injury.
•All installation components must be suitable for the specific application, location and
requirements of this product.
•This product must be mounted in a permanent/solid location.
•Depending on the type and positioning of the installation, permission may be needed from
appropriate authorities.
•The wall on which the ChargeArm is mounted must provide sufficient support for the forces
and stresses which occur during installation and use of the product.
•The charge cable and charge box are not included with this product.
•The ChargeArm is only compatible with a 3-Phase –32A charge cable.
•ChargeArm is not responsible for any damage to pipes, walls and other items that may be
damaged during the installation of the wall brackets and/or ChargeArm.

2. Necessary tools/components
A. Spirit level
B. Vaseline spray (300 ml) (eg. Griffon Vaseline spray 300 ml)
C. Tape measure : 3 meter
D. Philips Screwdriver : PH2
E. Torx screwdriver : T30
F. Electric drill with the correct drill for the combination plug and wood bolt
G. Wall plug suitable for correct type of wall and wood bolt
H. Stainless steel flat washer suitable for the wood bolt
I. 8 or 10 mm stainless steel wood bolt with the correct length plug and wall
J. Mounting tool for wood turning bolt
K. Pencil

4. Opportunities for mounting accessories
There is a vertical groove on the rear of the ChargeArm that has been created to provide easy
fixation opportunities for a variety of accessories.
The means of fixation to the ChargeArm accessory groove is as follows:
•Mount a slide nut , chosen accessory, and bolt loosely to each other.
•Place the slide nut (vertical orientation) in the groove on the rear of the ChargeArm.
•Tighten the bolt slowly so that the slide nut rotates 90 degrees. This ensures that the nut
cannot exit the groove.
•Pull the accessory you wish to secure outwards so that the nut remains in its place.
•Slide the accessory to the desired height and then firmly tighten the bolt to lock the
assembly in position.

5. Preparing the ChargeArm for installation
•Do not use a knife or sharp implement to open the box.
•When the packaging has been opened, do not discard it but use it as an underlay to further
prepare the product.

•Remove the plastic bag that protects the ChargeArm
•Remount the two packaging buffers as shown in the image below.
•Flip the ChargeArm and let it rest on the packaging as shown in the image below.
•Mount the included wall brackets ②to the ChargeArm with the sliding nuts ③and screws
④as described in Chapter 4. Do not fully tighten the screws to allow the brackets to be
adjusted in height.

6. Installing the ChargeArm
•The following steps should be carried out with 2 people.
•Place the ChargeArm in the desired place against the wall on which it should be mounted. Let
the ChargeArm rest on the 2 packaging buffers so that it cannot be damaged and is
supported approximately 10 cm above the ground.

•Move the 2 wall supports to a position where they find sufficient support for mounting on
the wall.
•Mark the hole where the top right wall mount should be positioned.

•Remove the ChargeArm from the wall and place it back in the packaging buffers on the
cardboard packaging.
•Firmly Tighten the 4 screws of the wall supports.

•Drill a hole in the wall in the just-marked spot with the correct diameter and depth for the
plug (G) and wood bolt (I)
•Insert the plug (G) into drilled hole (A)

•Mount the ChargeArm on the wall with ring (H) and wood bolt (I) in hole A

•Use the spirit level to position the ChargeArm vertically on the wall.
•Mark the remaining 3 holes (B, C and D).
•Remove the ChargeArm and place it on the unfolded package.

•Drill the holes in the wall in the just-marked places with the correct diameter and depth for
the plug (G) and the wood bolt (I).
•Place the plugs in the drilled holes (B, C and D).

•Mount the ChargeArm on the wall with all 4 rings (H) and wood bolts (I).

7. Mounting a charge box
•Mount the charging box at a comfortable height and as close as possible to the ChargeArm.

9. Feeding through and adjusting the charge cable
•Spray some Vaseline into the top opening of the arm of the ChargeArm when it is retracted.
•Feed the cable through the arm by pushing it.
•Park the vehicle to be charged on the desired location near the ChargeArm.
•Carefully extend the arm out until it is fully extended.
•Hold the charging connector in the area of the charging port of the car.
•Adjust the length of the cable (L1) so that it hangs approximately 10 cm (H1) above ground
level.

•Determine the length of the cable (L2) by ensuring that it is not too taught when the arm is
extended and retracted.
•Carefully retract the ChargeArm.
•Check again carefully the way the cable moves and hangs during the controlled articulation
of the arm, and adjust where necessary.
•Also ensure that the cable moves freely over obstacles that could damage it during use.
•Let a certified electrician make the connection of the cable to the charge box.
•Mount the strain reliefs as described in part 9.
