Important - To protect the appliance and the cooling fans from electrostatic
discharge damage, make sure that you are properly grounded before you
touch any of the electronic components. Read the Health and Safety
Information in the 13000 Appliance Getting Started Guide before you start to
prepare the appliance.
We recommend that you use a grounding wrist strap. The grounding plug on
the rear of the appliance provides a chassis grounding point.
You can hot swap one or more of the four cooling fans.

Caution - Components inside the appliance can overheat if they are not
cooled even for a short period of time. To prevent damage from too much
heat:
If two or more cooling fans fail, we recommend that you shut down
the appliance
Do not hot swap more than one cooling fan at one time
If a cooling fan fails, replace it as soon as possible
To replace a fan unit:
1. From the rear panel of the appliance, find the cooling fan that you are replacing.
2. Loosen the screws on the cooling fan.

3. Hold the screws and pull the cooling fan away from the appliance.
4. Insert the replacement cooling fan and push it into the appliance.
5. Tighten the screws on the cooling fan unit.
