F. How to Connect & Stream:
WiFiStreamingReceiverallowsmusictobestreamedfromyourphone,iPadorPCandinputstoyourhostaudioamplierorHiFisystem.
MultipleUnitsmaybeusedtoprovideamulti-room/Zonecongurationwhereunitscanoperateindependentlyorcanbecombined(playingonesourceonmultiplereceivers).
The WSR-1 can be used in a number of ways to provide streaming capability in the following options:
Option 1: One to One connection
(Airplay etc….)
ThismodeisusedtoallowtheWSR-1toactasasingleonetoone
receiver,toplaymusicfromyourPhoneorTabletusingtheWSR-1’sown
internalWiFiconnection.
1. PlugintheMiniUSBandpoweruptheWSR-1usingthesupplied
USBcableoroptionalPSUandconnecttheAudioOutputfromthe
WSR-1toyourAmplierusingthe3.5mmjackcablesupplied.
2. OnyourPhoneorTabletsearchfortheWSR-1withintheWiFi
device menu.
3. TheWSR-1willshowupasLumiAudio_XXXX,selectandallowthe
connection.
4. ItshouldnowbepossibletoplayMusicstoredonyourPhoneor
TabletdirectlytotheWSR-1,andouttoyourconnectedAudio
Device.
Option 2: One to One via Smartsonix APP
1. DownloadtheSmartsonixAPPfromtheAndroidPlayorApple
Store to your device.
2. PlugintheMiniUSBandpoweruptheWSR-1usingthesupplied
USBcableoroptionalPSUandconnecttheAudioOutputfromthe
WSR-1toyourAmplierusingthe3.5mmjackcablesupplied.
3. OnyourPhoneorTabletsearchfortheWSR-1withintheWiFI
device menu.
4. TheWSR-1willshowupasLumiAudio_XXXX,selectandallowthe
connection.
5. OpentheSmartsonixAPPandusethistoselectandcontrolthe
Music/ContenttobebroadcastviatheWSR-1toyourconnected
Audio Device.
Option3: Network Broadcast (TuneIn Radio,
Spotify etc….)
1. DownloadtheSmartsonixAPPfromtheAndroidPlayorAppleStoreto
your device.
2. PlugintheMiniUSBandpoweruptheWSR-1usingthesuppliedUSB
cableoroptionalPSUandconnecttheAudioOutputfromtheWSR-1to
yourAmplierusingthe3.5mmjackcablesupplied.
3. OnyourPhoneorTabletconnecttoyourInstalledWiFINetwork.
4. OpentheSmartsonixAPP,themessageSearchingforSmartsonixWireless
HiFiSystemwillappear,followedbyAddDevice.
5. FollowtheOn-Screenprompts,thenpresstheWPSbuttonontheWSR-1,
themessageSearchingforWiFiconnectionisbroadcastfromtheWSR-1.
6. EntertheWiFipassword,andpressconnect,thismaytakeanumberof
minutestoconnect,themessageWiFiConnectedisbroadcastfromthe
WSR-1.
7. ConnectSuccessisshownonyourPhone/Tablet,pressNext.(ifFail
Messageappearsseesection‘IfWPSFailstoconnect’below).
8. TheSmartsonixAPPwillautomaticallyopen,selectthelocationintowhich
youwillbebroadcasting(oraddyourowndesignationviatheCustomeld)
andpressnish.
9. ThiswillopentheSmartsonixAPP,usethistoselectandcontrolthe
Music/ContenttobebroadcastviatheWSR-1andouttoyourconnected
Audio Device.
If WPS Fails to connect:
1. Select“Alternativewaytosetup”
2. GotothephonesettingsandselecttheWSR-1fromtheWiFiDeviceList,
onceconnectedreturntotheSmartsonixAPP.
3. SelectNext
4. SelectPreferedWiFiNetworkandenterPassword.
5. OnceconnectedselectDone
6. NametheWSR-1deviceandselectFinish.
