DC bus overvoltage protection PH E5 The current of DC bus is heavier than the limit current. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times
within one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after
de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Overheating protection P8 E5 The temperature of radiator is too high. It is necessary to stop the unit for cooling. If the
malfunction occurs for 6 times within one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction
can only be removed after de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Circuit malfunction Pc E5 The offset voltage is higher than the limit value. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within
one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after
de-energizing the unit and the energizing it.
Module temperature sensor
malfunction
P7 E5 The module temperature sensor and the voltage-dividing resistance is short circuit or open
circuit. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within one hour, it can not resume normal. The
malfunction can only be removed after de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Compressor overcurrent
protection
P5 E5 The instantaneous current of compressor exceeds limit value. If the malfunction occurs for 6
times within one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after
de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
DC bus low voltage protection PL E5 The DC bus voltage is lower than limit value. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within one
hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after de-energizing
the unit and the re-energizing it.
Compressor startup failure Lc E5 The compressor can start but not operate. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within one
hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after de-energizing
the unit and the re-energizing it.
PFC module abnormal Hc E5 PFC module abnormality protection is detected. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within
one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after
de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Drive chip reset P0 E5 The drive is interfered, causing restart of the procedure.
Compressor motor
desynchronizing protection
H7 E5 The rotor position can not be detected during operation. Or the actual rotational speed is
greatly different from the set rotational speed. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within one
hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after de-energizing
the unit and the re-energizing it.
Compressor lack of phase
protection
Ld E5 Any one of the phase current is lower than 0.5A (instantaneous value). The malfunction can
only be removed after de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Communication malfunction
between inverter drive and main
control
P6 E5 The drive panel can not communicate with the main control. The malfunction can resume
normal automatically.
IPM module protection H5 E5 IPM module abnormality protection is detected. If the malfunction occurs for 6 times within
one hour, it can not resume normal. The malfunction can only be removed after
de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
High pressure protection E1 E1
Low pressure protection E3 E3
Check if the wire connecting high and low pressure switch and mainboard is loose. If it is
loose, tighten it. After connecting the wire, re-energized it. If there is still malfunction, replace
the pressure switch.
Discharge protection E4 E4 The compressor discharge temperature reflects the ambient temperature inside the
compressor, especially the motor coil. The high temperature will lead to decomposition of
the lubricating oil. If the discharge temperature is higher than the limit value, the compressor
and the fan will stop for protection, indoor unit displaying E4. When the discharge
temperature is lower than a certain value, the compressor will operate again. If the
malfunction occurs for several times within one hour, it can not resume normal. The
malfunction can only be removed after de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Compressor overload
protection
H3 E5 When the operation parameter (such as current) is higher than the limit value, the unit is
overloaded. It needs to be adjusted or protected. When overload protection occurs, the
compressor and the outdoor fan will stop, indoor unit displaying E5. If the malfunction is
removed, the compressor will operate again. If the malfunction occurs for several times, it
can only be removed after de-energizing the unit and the re-energizing it.
Communication malfunction

E6 E6 If E6 is displayed on outdoor nixie tube, check if the communication cable is well connected.
If there is wired controller, check if the unit is energized after installing the wired controller. If
the communication occurs during operation of the compressor, check if there is shield
between the main controller and communication cable. If not, change the communication
cable. Then check if the heavy current wire and weak current wire, AC wire and DC wire are
separated. Finally, replace the mainboard.

Check if the wire connecting the corresponding temperature sensor and the mainboard is
loose. If it is, tighten it. If the temperature sensor on the mainboard is not loose, take it down
to measure the resistance. If the resistance is infinitely large or infinitely small (close to 0),
the temperature sensor is damaged. It is necessary to replace it.
