BEFORE STARTING WE RECOMMEND THAT ASSEMBLY OF THIS UNIT SHOULD BE PERFORMED AT THE LOCATION
OF YOUR SWIMMING POOL WHERE THE UNIT WILL BE USED. BE CAREFUL LIFTING ANY PART OF THE UNIT; THIS
MAY CAUSE INJURY.
Placement of product with A INGROUND SWIMMING POOL should be AT THE THREE TO FIVE FOOT
DEPTH LEVEL. This IS pool shot products RECOMMENDATION FOR UNIT USE.
PRODUCT USEAGE INSTRUCTIONS (PLEASE READ ALL USEAGE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING PROJECT):
If using water as weight: Take a garden hose and place hose end into the fill hole located at
the BACK NECK AREA. Now turn on the water and fill the base to ONLY about 1/3 of its full ca-
pacity with water, then shut the water off. This amount of water weight will allow the base
to stand securely enough for the attachment of the BACKBOARD AND RIM. THE BASE will be light
enough for safer, easier movement of the unit up to its final point of use. This will be done
later in the assembly process.
If using sand as weight: Fill the
base with sand through the fill hole
located at the top of base next to
the molded in ball holder. Fill the
base to ONLY about 1/3 of its full ca-
pacity with sand, then stop. This
amount of sand weight will allow
the base to stand securely enough
for the attachment of the BACK-
BOARD AND RIM. THE BASE will be light
enough for safer, easier movement of
the unit up to its final point of use.
This will be done later in the assembly
process.

RIM AND BACKBOARD ASSEMBLY:
Note: before starting assembly project, make sure that the backboard is in the upside down
position for ease of assembly (SEE FIGURE 1).
1) Feed a 5/16” diameter x 3.00” long bolt through the
back hole of the backboard. Make sure you place a
washer on the bolt before inserting through hole (SEE
FIGURE 2).
2) After feeding the bolt & washer combina-
tion through the back hole, hang the rim
on the protruding bolt. (SEE FIGURE 3).
Note: You might need a second set of hands
to hold the rim in place while applying the
fastener. If you do not have a second per-
son to help with this step, prop the rim in
the horizontal position using a box or
other object that will give you the same
result (SEE FIGURE 4).
3) ONCE THE BOLT IS THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE RIM,
PLACE A 5/16” DIAMETER WASHER ON THE PROTRUDING
BOLT AND THREAD A 5/16” DIAMETER NUT ONTO THE
BOLT. DO
NOT
TIGHTEN AT
THIS POINT,
JUST MAKE
SURE THAT
IT IS ON AND
SNUG. (SEE
FIGURE 3).

RIM AND BACKBOARD ASSEMBLY (CON”T):
4) REPEAT STEPS 1 THROUGH 3 FOR THE OTHER THREE FASTENERS. (SEE FIGURES 5A-5C).
5) AFTER ALL OF THE NUTS ARE SNUG ON THE BOLTS, PROCEED TIGHTENING ALL OF THE NUTS UNTIL THE
BOLT IS ALMOST FLUSH WITH THE TOP OF THE NUT (SEE FIGURE 6).
NOTE: OVERTIGHTENING THE RIM NUTS COULD
CAUSE STRESS ON THE RIM/BACKBOARD ASSEMBLY.

FIGURE 5C

Fastening the backboard assembly to the base:
6) Slide the mating block into the hole atop the base (see figure 7).
7) AFTER SLIDING THE MATING BLOCK INTO THE BASE
HEAD, MAKE SURE THE BLOCK IS WEDGED TIGHT. .(SEE
FIGURE 8).
NOTE: NOTICE THAT THERE are THREE THREADED IN-
SERTS MOLDED INTO THE FRONT SURFACE OF THE MAT-
ING BLOCK AND ONE THREADED INSERT MOLDED INTO
THE BASE (SEE FIGURE 9).
8) LAY BASE/MATING BLOCK ASSY. ON ITS BACK (SEE FIGURE
10). USING TWO PEOPLE,, ALIGN THE FOUR HOLES ON
THE FRONT OF THE BACKBOARD WITH THE INSERTS IL-
LUSTRATED ABOVE.
9) ONCE YOU HAVE SEATED THE BACKBOARD INTO ITS POCKETS ON
THE BASE, AND THE HOLES ARE NOW ALIGNED WITH THE INSERTS
YOU CAN PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP. (SEE FIGURE 11).

Fastening the backboard assembly to the base (CON’T):
10) USE A 4.375” LONG HEX HEAD BOLT TO snugly FASTEN THE TOP THREE LOCATIONS (SEE FIGURE 12A, 12B AND 12C).
11) PROCEED TO THE LOWER HOLE THIS TIME USING A 3.25”
LONG HEX HEAD BOLT (SEE FIGURE 13). Remember to
hand tighten only.
12) Now that all of the bolts are hand tightened, go
back and tighten all four bolts with the necessary
tools. Note: do not over tighten the bolts. This
action could result in permanent damage to the
unit.

BRINGING THE GAME TO THE POOL FOR FINAL ASSEMBLY:
13) AFTER THE BACKBOARD IS SECURELY TIGHTENED, LIFT
UNIT BACK UP TO PLAYABLE POSITION (SEE FIGURE 14).
FILLING THE BASE FOR STABILITY SAFETY:
14) NOW THAT THE GAME IS ASSEMBLED AND SECURE,
very carefully slide the unit up to the edge of
the swimming pool. Leave approximately 2 - 3
inches between the FRONT EDGE OF THE base and
the pool's edge (SEE FIGURE 15).
MAKE SURE THE BASE DOES NOT OVER-HANG THE
POOL DECK
Before fully filling with water, we recom-
mend that you pour approximately one (1) pint
of liquid bleach or chlorine into the base to
help prevent algAE growth. REPEAT THIS PROCE-
DURE A FEW TIMES DURING THE SWIMMING SEASON.
AS A GUIDE, POOL SHOT HAS MOLDED IN A 50 GALLON
FILL LINE ON THE BACK OF THE BASE FOR YOUR CON-
VENIENCE. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND OVER FILLING
(SEE FIGURE 16). (Not applicable for sand filling)
16) Once the unit is in it’s upright position AND FILLED WITH
WATER OR SAND, push the orange fill/drain plug into
the hole below the “fill here” text, LOCATED ON THE
BACKSIDE OF THE BASE (See figure 17)
17) YOUR GAME BASE IS
EQUIPPED WITH TWO SMALL
RECESSES TO STORE YOUR
BASKETBALL’S WHEN YOU ARE
NOT ENJOYING THE GAME.
THIS WILL HELP PREVENT
LOSS OF THE BALLS DURING
NON ACTIVITY SESSIONS (SEE
FIGURES 18).
