Use and Care
The display can withstand the rough treatment that typically occurs in the field. However, the
receiver is high-precision electronic equipment and should be treated with reasonable care.
Warning and Caution
An absence of specific alerts does not mean that there are no safety risks involved. A Warning or
Caution information is intended to minimize the risk of personal injury and/or damage to the
equipment.
WARNING-A Warning alerts you to a potential risk of serious injury to your person and/or damage to
the equipment, because of improper operations or wrong settings of the equipment.

1 Introduction
Thanks for choosing the P300 GNSS display.
The SinoGNSS P300 Display User Guide is aimed to help you get familiar with the
P300 display and start your project effectively. We highly recommend you to read
this guide before working.
1.1 About the P300 display
The SinoGNSS P300 display is an in-cab touchscreen display that provides affordable
guidance, steering and precision agriculture functionality.
The P300 display is integrated with a high-performance GNSS OEM board that
tracking GPS L1, L2, BeiDou B1, B2, and GLONASS L1, L2. With built-in UHF and 4G
cellular modem, the P300 is able to achieve centimeter-level RTK performance for
your farming operations.
1.2 P300 display Features

2 Display basics
This chapter provides basic information of the display, including the LED status
information, buttons function and connections on the back, also shows how to
power on and off the display.
2.1 Front view of display
The P300 display provides guidance, steering and precision agriculture functionality.
With the display's touchscreen, you operate your system and to view guidance
information.

2.3 Power up and power down
To turn on the display
Usually when the power is connected, the P300 display will turn on
automatically. If not, tap the power button on the front of the display, after a
short time, the windows welcome screen shows.
To turn off the display
On the windows interface, click →choose
Or hold on the power button for five seconds.

3 Install the P300 display
When install the display, please pay attention:
The display should be within the driver’s reach, so that the driver can operate
the screen conveniently;
The display cannot block the driver’s sight;
The display cannot interfere with the driver getting in or out the cab.
3.1 Attach the display to the mount
1. Firstly use screws to firmly attach to the back of the display.
2. Attach to the ball on .
3. Attach to the cab.

3.2 Install and connect the GNSS antennas
1. Find the mounting locations for the two antennas at the front of the vehicle roof,
on the left and right respectively, make sure the line between the two antennas
is parallel with the axle of the vehicle.
2. Attach two magnetic fix bars on the two optimal locations.
3. Connect the antenna cables to the antennas.
4. Place the antennas onto the fix bars.
5. Route the other end of the antenna cables to the cab and connect to the display.

3.3 Install the radio antenna
Install the Car GPRS Antenna with magnetic fix bar.
3.4 Connect P300 display to external ECU
Connect the P300 display to ECU via RJ45 connector from the Port A/B.
Connect the P300 display to the power on the vehicle.

4 Configure the P300 display
This section shows how to configure the P300 display output NMEA data to external
ECU controller by ComNav Technology CRU software.
Visit ComNav Technology website to access CRU software:
http://comnavtech.com/download.asp?bigclassid=28
Install the CRU software to the display.
Run the CRU software.
Click “Set Port”, select COM port (COM9) and Baud Rate (usually is 115200),
then click “OK”.
Click “Command”, send the command “log version” to check if the receiver has
connected with PC successfully.
Sending the following commands to output NMEA data via LAN port from Port
A.
log com1 gpgga ontime 1
log com1 gprmc ontime 1
log com1 gptra ontime 1
log com1 gpvtg ontime 1
saveconfig

5 Firmware update
Copy the update program to the P300 display or USB disk.
Start the program, choose “Setting”, select serial Port (COM9) and then click
“OK”.
Click “Link” icon to build the connection.
Then click “Update” icon to start updating (a few minutes are needed), during
the update, the display will restart automatically. It will take about 6 min to
complete the update.
