SAFETY FIRST!
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the rating label (located at the bottom of the
unit) matches your mains voltage.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you are in any doubt about it working
normally, or if it is damaged in any way - switch off and consult your dealer.
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas/electric res.
• Avoid exposing the unit or the batteries to direct sunlight, re and other sources of
heat.
• Never place any type of candle or naked ame on the top of or near the unit.
• Do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing.
• No objects lled with liquids,such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch it off and
consult your dealer.
• Do not place the unit on or near units which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely affect the working of the unit.
• For traffic safety, do not use earphones while driving or cycling.
• Listening to loud sounds for prolonged periods of time may permanently damage
your hearing.
• Before putting on earphones, turn the volume down then put the earphones on
and slowly increase the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.
• Please dispose of the batteries correctly by following the guidance in this manual.
• Do not open any xed covers. The unit does not contain any user-serviceable parts.
Please leave all maintenance work to qualied personnel.
• Ensure to unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.
• Do not use liquids to clean the unit.
• The unit and AC/DC adapter shall not be exposed to dripping and splashing and
that no objects lled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the unit and
AC/DC adapter..
• The mains plug of the AC/DC adapter is used as the disconnect device. The AC/DC
adapter should always remain readily operable and should not be obstructed
during intended use..
• To be completely disconnected the unit from supply mains, the mains plug of the
AC/DC adapter shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.

Hints & Tips
PROBLEM
CD player does not
work.
CD does not play.
No sound in the
earphones.
Skips during play.
SOLUTIONS
· Batteries are dead or low, replace batteries.
· The power cable is not correctly plugged in, check mains
connection.
· CD is incorrectly inserted, re-insert the CD label side up.
· Defective CD, try another CD.
· CD compartment is not closed, close CD compartment
cover properly.
· Condensation in CD compartment, remove CD and leave
cover open for about one hour to dry out.
· Earphones are not connected properly, re-insert earphone
socket.
· Volume control is at minimum, increase the volume.
· Batteries are low, replace the batteries or use a power
cable.
· Defective CD, try another CD.
· Dirty CD or lens, clean or replace CD, or clean lens.
· Strong vibrations, place CD player on a at & stable
surface.

USING BATTERIES (NOT SUPPLIED)
1. Open the battery compartment cover at the
bottom of the CD player.
2. Insert two alkaline batteries, size“AA” (LR6);
install the battery correctly by following the
polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
To Play Tracks Again (Repeat Play)
You can play tracks again in either Normal or Program play mode. You can repeat all
the tracks or just one track.
To Repeat Single Tracks
Press the PLAY MODE button once while listening to the track you want to hear again.
The symbol “ “ will appear in the LCD display.
• To repeat another track, press the or button to Skip / Search.
• To cancel Repeat Play, press the PLAY MODE three times.
To Repeat All Tracks
Press the PLAY MODE button twice during play. The symbol“ ” will appear in the
LCD display.
• All the tracks will be repeated one after another.
• To cancel Repeat Play, press the PLAY MODE button two times.
Intro Play
1. Press the PLAY MODE button 3 times to enter the intro mode, “INTRO” ashes on
the display.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button, CD will play the rst 10 seconds of each track on
the CD.
3. Press the PLAY MODE button once to cancel intro playback and resume normal
playback.
4. Power is turned o automatically after 30 seconds, when all tracks have been
played.
Random Track Play
When the CD player is stopped, press the RANDOM button once and “RAND” shows
in the LCD display. The CD player will then play tracks at random.
To cancel Random Track Play, press the RANDOM button once.
Play Tracks in the order you want (Program Play)
You can program the playing of up to 24 tracks in the order you decide.
1. When the CD player is stopped, press the PROG button until“PGM” ashes in the
LCD display. The track number and order of play will appear.
2. Press the or button to Skip / Search to choose a track.
3. Press the PROG button to include the track in the program.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program all the tracks you want.
5. Press the button to Play / Pause. The symbol “PGM” stops ashing, and the CD
player plays your chosen tracks in the order you specied.
6. To cancel Program Play, press the button or open the CD door.
To Check the Programme
Each time you press the button during program playback, the next track number
in the order you specied appears.
To Increase the Bass
You can have a stronger bass sound by moving the Bass Boost switch (DBBS) to the
ON position.
UNPACKING
Remove all packaging from the CD Player. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it
please do so according to any local regulations.

1. Connect the power cable to the
DC 4.5V socket of the CD player.
2. Plug in the mains adapter to the
mains socket.

CONNECTIONS
Listening with the Earphones
Connect the stereo earphones (supplied) to
the (green) Earphones Socket (PHONES) of
the CD Player.
Connecting to a Sound System Component
Connect an audio cable
(not supplied) into the
(black) LINE OUT socket
of your CD player and
the other end into the
CD /AUX input of a
sound system.
OPERATION
Inserting a CD
1. Open the CD door by sliding the OPEN button.
2. Place the CD rmly on the central spindle and close the CD door.
Playing a CD
1. Press the button to Play / Pause.
2. Adjust the Volume control.
To stop play, press the button. Press the button again to turn o the power.
Removing the CD
Remove the CD by opening the CD door, holding the centre spindle and lifting out
the CD.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the Case
• Wipe with a soft cloth. If the case is very dirty, moisten the cloth with a weak
solution of non-caustic detergent and water, and us this to clean the case.
Handling Discs
• Do not touch the playback side of the disc.
• Do not attach paper or tape to the disc.
Cleaning Discs
• Fingerprints and dust on the disc cause
picture and sound deterioration. Wipe the
disc from the centre outwards with a soft
cloth. Always keep the disc clean.
• If you cannot wipe off the dust with a soft cloth,
wipe the disc lightly with a slightly moistened soft cloth and nish with a dry cloth.
• Do not use any type of solvent such as thinner, benzine, commercially available
cleaners or antistatic spray. They may damage the disc.
Storing Discs
• Do not store discs in a place subjected to direct sunlight or near heat sources.
• Do not store discs in a place subjected to moisture and dust such as a bathroom or
near a humidier.
• Storing discs vertically in a case, stacking discs or placing objects on discs outside
of their cases may cause warping.

For battery operation, the mains adaptor cable must be disconnected from
the mains socket and the DC IN socket.
When to Replace the Batteries
When the batteries are becoming at, the“ “ indicator ashes in the LCD
display; replace all the batteries with new alkaline ones.
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage,
which could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
• When the batteries are exhausted, the CD player will not function. Replace both
batteries at the same time with new ones.
• Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix different types of
batteries.
• Do not dispose of used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in
accordance with local regulations.
