models have double sided multi coated lenses
giving an impressive 90% light transfer rate
meaning you get a much clearer and better
quality image every time.
The DL5 spotting scope has an adjustable zoom
giving a magnication range of 20x all the way
up to an impressive 60x making you feel much
closer to the viewing target. The DL5 comes with
a 60mm objective lens diameter for a brighter
image along with a central focus adjustment and
eye relief of 16-14mm. A soft, exible, rubber
eyepiece makes for comfortable viewing over
long periods of time.
An extending sunshade on the objective lens
keeps unwanted glare and moisture at bay.
Using a BAK4 prism, the DL5 gives better optical
quality especially in low light conditions and the
porro prism design gives this scope a greater
depth of eld and wider eld of view.
The waterproof body and fogproof lenses mean
the DL5 is capable of withstanding the most
adverse weather conditions without letting you
down.
Supplied with lens caps, easy to mount tripod
stand and in a practical and convenient carry-
case with shoulder strap.
Safety Instructions
• DO NOT use this instrument to view the sun.
This may result in instant and irreversible
personal damage.
• ALWAYS inspect the unit prior to use for
fatigue and damage.
• ALWAYS inspect the tripod (if being used) for
loose or damaged clamps and xings before
use.
• Using your Spotter Scope
• Mount the scope to the tripod using the
threaded thumbscrew.
• Remove lens caps and store them in the carry-
case.
• Adjust scope body angular position to the
required position using thumbwheel on scope
waist band.
• Align scope body angle to object under view
using the positional control lever on the tripod.
Rotate lever anticlockwise to loosen and
clockwise to tighten once set.
• NOTE: Use the sight beads on the left hand
side of the scope body to enable speedy
alignment with the object under investigation.
• Once aligned to the object, set the eyepiece to
the lowest magnication value.
• Use the scope focus control on body to focus
on the object.
• Adjust the eyepiece zoom to the required value
and re-focus using the scope focus control if
necessary.
• It is recommended that you fold down the
rubber eye cups if wearing glasses and fold up
for use without glasses.
• If sunlight or moisture is a problem to viewing,
slide the shading tube forward.
Maintenance
• ALWAYS dry and clean the scope before
storing it for any period of time.
• ALWAYS use lens covers when not in use.
• Use soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lenses.
• Store the scope in a moisture free area.
• DO NOT attempt to clean your scope internally
or disassemble it.
