a minimum of 12 hours of burn time when using alkaline batteries.

Battery notes
• Use only AA sized 1.2 V rechargeable NiMH batteries or 1.5 V alkaline batteries.
• If using alkaline batteries, Dive Rite recommends using quality batteries, such as
Duracell or Eveready. Do not use the long life type alkalines as they are not
designed for the power demands of the light.
• Do not use mixed lots of batteries.
• All eight batteries should be of the same make and age. Do not mix used
batteries with new batteries.

To install the batteries:
1. Unscrew the handle of the light where it attaches to the light head.
2. Slide the handle down and off the battery holder.
3. Pull the battery holder out of the light head.
4. Install the batteries as detailed in the battery holder.
5. Ensure that the O-rings are free from dirt and debris.
6. Insert the battery holder into the light head, making sure the contacts at the top of
the battery holder line up with contacts at the base of the light head.
7. Slide the handle over the battery holder until it contacts the light head.
8. Screw the base onto the light head.
Turning the light on and off
Before using the light, make sure the batteries are installed and in good working order.
Caution: The light can be used out of the water. However, exercise caution when
using the light out of the water. The light is designed primarily for use underwater.
Water serves to remove heat from the LEDs. Excessive use out of the water can
shorten the life of the LEDs. If the light head begins to feel exceptionally warm, turn
the light off. Avoid looking directly at the LEDs when the light is turned on.

To turn the light on and off:
1. Grip the base of the light with one hand.
2. Grip the top of the light with your other hand.
3. Rotate the base clockwise to turn the light on.
Note: Do not turn the base until it comes in contact with the top of the light. This
can damage the battery holder. The light will turn on with just a couple small
rotations of the base.
4. Rotate the base counter-clockwise to turn the light off.
Post dive care
• Inspect the light for any leakage or other damage
• Rinse the light thoroughly in fresh water and allow it to dry
Dealing with a flooded light
Determining if a light is flooded can be as obvious as pouring water out of your
canister or as subtle as seeing a small amount of water in the lens.
What to do: If your light floods, do not continue to use the light. Turn the light off and
disconnect the battery pack. DO NOT TAKE THE LIGHT APART! Arrange with your
dealer to return the light to Dive Rite for repair. Flooding damage cannot be fixed or
corrected in the field. Trying to repair the light in the field can void your warranty.
