Precautions
General precautions
•Do not use or store the pro uct in usty, irty, or san y areas,
as its components may be amage .
•Do not store the pro uct in a hot environment. High
temperatures can shorten the life of electronic evices, amage
batteries an warp or melt certain plastics.
•Do not store the pro uct in col areas. When the pro uct
warms up to its normal temperature, moisture can form insi e
an may amage the electronic circuits.
•Do not attempt to open the casing or attempt your own repairs.
High-voltage internal components create the risk of electric
shock when expose .
•Do not rop or knock the pro uct. Rough han ling may
amage the internal components.
•Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong
etergents to clean the pro uct. Wipe the pro uct with a
slightly amp soft cloth.
•Do not fire the flash while it is too close to the subject's eyes.
Intense light from the flash can cause eye amage if it is fire
too close to the eyes. When using the flash, the camera shoul
be at least one meter from the eyes of the subject.
•Do not open battery cover while a vi eo is being recor e .
Doing so will not only make storage of the current image
impossible, it can also corrupt other image ata alrea y store
in file.
•If the pro uct or any of its accessories are not working
properly, take them to your nearest qualifie service center.
The personnel there will assist you an if necessary, arrange
for the pro uct to be repaire .
•Test for proper operation before using the camera.

Notes on the LCD Screen
Caution must be observe when ealing with the flui containe in
the LCD. Ensure that flui oes not leak if the screen becomes
cracke or amage . If this occurs, follow these steps:
•If the flui makes contact with skin, wipe it with a clean cloth
then rinse with a large amount of water.
•If the flui makes contact with eyes, wash eyes with clean
water for at least 15 minutes an seek imme iate me ical
attention.
•If the flui is swallowe , first rinse mouth with water, then
rink a large amount of water an in uce vomiting. Seek
imme iately me ical attention.
Operation con itions
•This camera is esigne for use in temperatures ranging from
0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
•Do not use or keep the camera in the following areas:
- In areas subject to irect sunlight
- In areas subject to high humi ity or ust
- Near air con itioners, heaters, or other areas subject to
temperature extremes
- Insi e of a close vehicle, especially one parke in the sun.
- In areas subject to strong vibration
Power supply
•Use only the type of battery that came with your camera.
Using any other type of battery may amage the equipment
an invali ate the warranty.
•Ensure the battery is inserte correctly. Inserting the battery
incorrectly can cause amage to the pro uct an possibly start
a fire.

•Remove the battery to avoi the flui leakage if the camera is
not going to be use for a long time.
•If the battery is crushe or amage , remove it imme iately to
avoi the battery flui leakage an abnormal expansion.
•The camera can be use with either a Li-ion or four AAA size
batteries. Li-ion battery is recommen e to use for longer
operation time.

Take some test shots before performing a formal
recor ing.
Before taking pictures with this DV camera in any important
occasion (such as a we ing ceremony or an overseas trip), o test
the DV camera beforehan to ensure that it functions properly. Any
a itional loss cause by the malfunction of this pro uct (such as
costs of photography or any loss of benefit generate by the
photography) is not the responsibility of the manufacturer an no
compensation will be given for it.

The camcor er requires a PC with the following specifications:
•Windows® Vista / XP / 2000 operating system
•Intel® Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU or higher (3GHz recommended)
•At least 512 MB of RAM or higher (1GB recommended)
•64MB or Greater Video Card
•Standard USB 1.1 port or higher

joystick button to switch the
moving irections (up/ own ↔
left/right).
3. In the Thumbnail mo e, move
up, own, left, right to select the
thumbnail images an then press
the center joystick button to view
the image in full screen mo e.
In Camcor er Playback mo e:
1. Press up an own to view the
store vi eo clips an press the
center joystick button to play/
stop the vi eo clips.
2. In Playing mo e, move right to
rewin a vi eo clip an move left
to fast-forwar a vi eo clip.
3. In the Thumbnail mo e, move
up, own, left, right to select a
esire vi eo clip an then press
the center joystick button to show
the vi eo clip.
In SET mo e, press up an own to
highlight menu items an press the
center joystick button to confirm.
