ASSEMBLY
• The solar panel can be positioned in to the ground with the supplied tube and
stake by following the steps below. When installing, ensure the stake is pushed
rmlyintotheground.
• DO NOT push down on the Solar Panel as it could cause damage.
1. Place solar panel on angled head and place into ground tube.
2. Placegroundtubeontopointedgroundstakeandensureitisrmlyinplace.
3. Holdingthegroundtube,pushthepointedgroundstakermlyintotheground.
4. Position the lights.
5. Turn the lights ON/OFF/FLASHING
INSTALLATION
1. Find a suitable open location for the solar panel, ideally south facing, and push
into the ground. Any shade will affect the ability of the solar panel to absorb
sunlight and decrease the amount of brightness and inhibit its ability to charge
fully, consequently its function will be decreased. The selected location should not
be near a night-time light source such as porch light or street light as these lights
may prevent the solar rope light from turning on automatically.
2. The stake should be pushed into the ground until it is securely in place. If the
ground is too hard, soak the area with water to soften it. Attach the pole to the
stake and attach the solar panel to it. Be sure the solar panel is pointing upwards
towards the sunlight. At least 8 hours of exposure to direct sunlight is required to
illuminate the light strand fully.
OPERATION

• Switch the ON/OFF switch to either Solid or Flashing position
BATTERY CHARGING
As with any rechargeable battery, the period of time that the battery will hold its charge
will decrease during the life of the battery.
Allbatterieshaveanitenumberofchargecycles.Iftheitemisnottobeusedfor
an extended period, it is recommended that the unit is switched off to preserve the
batteries. If the lights should begin to illuminate dimly or for a shorter duration of time
despite charging fully on a sunny day, replace the rechargeable battery with 1xAA
rechargeable battery.
• Slide off the battery compartment cover (where the pole attached to the
solar panel)
• Replace the batteries ensuring that battery polarity is correct
• Secure the battery compartment cover
• Do not mix old and new batteries
