•Controllarecheillivellodell’oliononsiasottoilminimo:svitareiltappo(fig.1n.11),conunostracciopulirel’asta
dilivelloeriavvitareiltappo.Svitarenuovamenteeassicurarsicheillivellosiacompresofraleduetacchedi
minimoedimassimo.Seillivelloèsottolasogliaminima,aggiungereoliofinoaottenereillivelloottimale.
(richiederel’olioadattoalvostrorivenditoredifiducia).

Primadiiniziareillavorobisognaposizionareilcavonell’appositoavvolgitore,regolarelaprofonditàdiinterramento,
legarel’estremitàdelcavoadunpicchetto,assicurarsichenonvisianopersoneanimaliocosedivaloreperunraggiodi
almeno15metri,quindiavviareilmotoreeunavoltacaldoportarloèpossibileiniziareillavoro.Azionarefinoinfondola
levadiinnestorotazionedellafresa(fig.1n.9),innestarefinoinfondolalevadiavanzamento(fig.1n.1)einiziareillavoro
usandocomunquelamassimaprudenza.Leggereattentamenteladescrizionedelleoperazionisottoriportate.Durantei
periodiestiviocomunqueinpresenzaditerrenoseccosiconsigliadiannaffiareabbondantementeilpratoilgiornoprima
dieseguireillavoro.

diavvolgereilcavonell’appositoraccoglitore(fig.1n.10)utilizzandolamanovellapresentesulraccoglitore.Èimportante
avvolgereilcavoinsensoorariopergarantireduranteillavorounperfettosrotolamento(fig.2).Sesivuoleinveceusare
lebobinedicavogiàavvolte,sipuòsmontaredalraccoglitorelaparetesinistraallentandoitrepomelli(fig.3)efacendo
compiereallapareteunaleggerarotazione,posizionarelabobinaneltubodelraccoglitoreusandoeventualiadattatori,
quindirimontarelapareteestringereafondoitrepomelli.Unavoltaposizionatoilcavonelraccoglitorebisognainfilare
l’estremitàdelcavoall’internodeltubodellapinna(fig.4)finoafarlousciredallaparteinferioredialcunicentimetri.

testinachegrazieadunamollavaariposizionasinellaposizioneinizialebloccandoautomaticamentelafresa.Nelcasodi
sostituzionedellafresaduranteillavoroènecessariopulirebenelatestinatogliendoiresiduidierbaeterraeassicurarsi
duranteilmontaggiodellanuovafresachenonentrinodeidetritinelmeccanismodiinnestorapido.Siconsiglia
comunquedipulireeungerefrequentementeilsuddettomeccanismo(vedianche“PULIZIADELLATESTINA”).

REGOLAZIONEDELL’ALTEZZADELMANUBRIO
Lamacchinapermettecinquealtezzedelmanubrio.Perregolaretalealtezzaallentarein
sensoantiorariolamanigliaposterioredelmanubrio(fig.9n.2)finoasfilareilpomello
(fig.9n.1),selezionarel’altezzadesiderataquindirinfilareilpomellonelnuovoforo,
riavvitareinsensoorarioestringereafondolamaniglia.
REGOLAZIONERAPIDADELL’INCLINAZIONEDELMANUBRIO
Quandocisiapprestaalavoraresottoasiepi,ramisporgenti,palettioqualsiasitipodiostacolo
lateraleèpossibileinclinareilmanubriodallaparteoppostadell’ostacolo(fig.10).Perregolare
l’inclinazionetirareafondolalevapostanellaparteinferioresinistradelmanubrio(fig.1n.7)
andandoaposizionareilpernocorrispondenteinunodeinoveforipostisullacremaglieraallabase
delmanubrio.Lamacchinapermettedunquequattrolivellidiinclinazioneadestraequattroa
sinistra.
BLOCCAGGIODELLAPINNAORIENTABILE
Quandocisiapprestaadinterrareilcavoperdeitrattirettilineilunghi,èpossibilebloccarela
pinnaorientabile(fig.11)pergarantireunamaggioredirezionalitàallamacchina.Perbloccarela
pinnaèsufficientestringerelamanigliaposizionatanellapartelateraledestradell’apparatodi
supporto(fig.11n.1).

Entrambeleruotesonodotatedisemiassiallargabiliin4posizioni.Questosistemaoffre
lapossibilitàdiavereunadistanzadellafresarispettoalbordoregolabilechepuòessere
di25,27,29o31cm.(fig.12).Ciòpermettediavereuninterramentodelcavo
equidistantedaunqualunquebordo,muretto,osiepe.Perregolarequestadistanzabasta
sfilareilpernodibloccaggio(fig.12n.2)eandarloariposizionareinunodei4forisul
semiasse(fig.12n.1)quindiriboccarelamolladisicurezza.
INIZIODELLAVORO
Unavoltaposizionatoilcavoemontatolafresa,bisognavincolareilcavoalterreno.Pertaleoperazioneèsufficiente
affondareunapuntaounpicchettonelterrenoelegarviilpezzodicavochefuoriescedallaparteinferioredellapinna.
Questaoperazioneserveagarantirel’interramentodelcavoneltagliochelafresavaacrearenelterrenoduranteiprimi
metridilavoro.

Unavoltaportatoatermineillavoro,perarrestareilmotore,portareilmanettinodelgas(fig.1n.3)sullaposizionedi

compressalamacchinasedopoillavoropresentapartibagnate.E’assolutamentesconsigliatol’usodipompeidrogetto.

POSITIONINGTHECABLEUPONTHESPOOL
Giventhevariouscableandspooltypologieswhichareavailableonthemarket,itisrecommendedthatthecablebe
wounduponthesuppliedcablespool(fig.1no.10),usingtheappropriatehandleuponthespoolitself.Thiswillfacilitate
thecableloadingoperations.Inordertoguaranteeproperunwinding(fig.2),itisimportantthatthecablebewound
uponthespoolinaclockwisedirection.Iftheusershouldwanttouseaspoolwithcablealreadywounduponit,theleft
handsideofthesuppliedcablespoolcanberemovedbylooseningthethreeknobs(fig.3)andbyslightlyturningtheside
ofthespoolitself.Positionthenewspooloverthesuppliedspool’scentralcylinder,usinganyadaptorsasrequired,and
reattachthesidewhichwaspreviouslyremoved.Besuretotightenthefasteningknobsproperly.Oncethecablehas
beenproperlypositioneduponthespool,thelooseendofthecablemustbeinsertedintotheappropriatetube(fig.4)
untilafewcentimetresofcablecomeoutthebottom.

INSTALLINGORREPLACINGTHECUTTER
Themachineisequippedwithamechanismwhichallowsforthecuttertobequicklyreplacedwithouttheneedfortools
(fig.5).Inordertoinstallorreplaceacutter,pushthesupport(fig.6)upwardsandextracttheworncutter,ifalready
presentuponthesupport(fig.7).Whilekeepingthesupportpressedupwards,insertthenewcutterthenreleasethe
support.Aspringactionmechanismwillautomaticallyrepositionthesupportinitsoriginalposition,therebylockingthe
newcutterinplace.Ifreplacingaworncutterduringworkactivities,itmaybenecessarytocleananyresidualgrass
and/orsoiloffofthesupport.Makesurethatnodebrisentersthequickattachmentmechanismwhileinstallingthenew
cutter.Itisneverthelessrecommendedtocleanandlubricatethequickattachmentmechanismfrequently(seealso
“CLEANINGTHECUTTERSUPPORT”).

ADJUSTINGTHECABLELAYINGDEPTH
Inordertoadjustthemachine’scablelayingdepth,usetheknobonthebackofthepin(fig.8,
no.1).Loosentheknobbyafewturnscounter‐clockwiseandraiseorlowerthesupportforthe
tworearwheels(fig.8,no.3),usingthedepthofthegraduatedbarbesidethesupport(fig.8,
no.2)asareference.Oncethedesireddepthhasbeenobtained,turntheknob(fig.8,no.1)
clockwiseuntilithasbeenproperlytightened.Thenumbersonthegraduatedbarcorrespondto
centimetresindepth,andrangefrom1to6.
ADJUSTINGTHESPEED
Inordertoadjustthecablelayer’sspeed,usetheaccelerator’sthrottle(fig.1,no.3)toincreaseordecreasethemotor’s
rpmvalue.NEVERadjustthespeedbymakingtheclutchdisksforthetransmission’sgearboxslip.Thiscancauseserious
damagetothetransmission’smechanicalparts.TheadvancementlevermustALWAYSbepulledtoitsmaximumextent,
orratheruntilitmakescontactwiththehandlebarunit.
ADJUSTINGTHEHEIGHTOFTHEHANDLEBARUNIT
Themachineprovidesforfivedifferenthandlebarheights.Inordertoadjusttheheight,
loosenthehandleatthebackofthehandlebarunit(fig.9,no.2)byturningitcounter‐
clockwiseuntiltheknobcanbeextracted(fig.9,no.1).Selectthedesiredheightandthen
reinserttheknob,turningitclockwiseuntilthehandlebarunithasbeenproperly
tightened.
ADJUSTINGTHETILTOFTHEHANDLEBARUNIT
Whenworkingaroundhedges,protrudingbranches,postsoranyothertypeoflateralobstacle,the
machine’shandlebarunitcanbetiltedtothesideoppositetheobstacle(fig.10).Inordertoadjust
thetiltangle,pulltheleveronthelowerleftofthehandlebarunit(fig.1no.7)andinsertthe
correspondingpinintooneofthenineholesinthehandlebarunit’ssupport.Themachine
thereforeallowsforthehandlebarunittoassume4differenttiltangles,totherightaswellasto
theleft.
BLOCKINGTHEADJUSTABLEPIN
Whenlayingcableforlongstraighttracts,theadjustablepin(fig.11)canbelockedinplacein
ordertoprovideforbettermanagementofthemachine’sadvancementdirection.Inordertolock
thepininplace,justtightenthehandleontherightsideofitssupport(fig.11,no.1).
ADJUSTINGTHEWIDTHOFTHEWHEELBASE
Bothofthewheelsareequippedwithhalf‐axleswhichcanbeextendedto4different
positions.Thissystemprovidesforthepossibilityofobtainingadistanceof25,27,29or
31cmbetweenthecutterandtheedge(fig.12).Thisensuresthatthecablewillbelaidat
anequaldistancefromanyborder,wallorhedge.Inordertoadjustthisdistance,just
removethelockingpin(fig.12no.2)andrepositionitinoneofthe4holesalongthehalf‐
axle(fig.12no.1).Besuretoresetthesafetyspring.
STARTINGWORKOPERATIONS
Oncethecablebasbeenmountedandthecutterhasbeeninstalled,thecablemustbetiedtotheground.Inorderto
performthisoperation,justinsertaspikeorpegintothegroundandtietheendofthecable,whichisstickingoutofthe
bottomofthepin,toit.Thisoperationensuresthatthecablewillbeproperlylaidwithinthegroovecreatedbythecutter
forthefirstfewmeters.
FINISHINGWORKOPERATIONS
Oncetheworkoperationshavebeencompleted,bringthegasthrottle(fig.1no.3)toitsSTOPpositioninordertoshutoff
themotor(themotorcanalsobeshutoffbymeansofthestopswitch,ifinstalled,afterhavingbroughtthemotor’s
speedtominimum).Oncethemotorhasbeenshutoff,closethefueltap.Oncethemachinehasbeenbroughttoits
storagelocation,thecutter’ssupportmustbecleanedandlubricated(seethefollowingsection).

Whenfinishedusingthemachine,thecuttersupportmustbecleanedthoroughly.Inordertoperformthisoperation,

1‐Tipthemachineforwardandrestitgentlyonthefloor.
2‐Removeanyresidualgrassandsoilandcleantheunitthoroughlywithcompressedair.
3‐Removethetwoscrewstodetachthepin
4‐Removethecutter(seethesectionentitled“INSTALLINGORREPLACINGTHECUTTER”).
5‐Unscrewthesupport’sstopperscrew.
6‐Extractthesupport,thespringandthespacerandthenremovethesphere.

8‐Cleanallofthecomponentswithagoodsolventandlubricateeachpiecethoroughly.Applywater‐repellentgreaseto

9‐Repositionthesphereandinsertthespacer,thespringandthesupportintotheshaft.Thespringmustbepositioned
withitslooseenddownwards,orratherfacingthesupport.Screwthesupport’sstopperscrewbackinandreinstallthe
cutter.

Avantdedémarrerlemoteur
•Contrôlerqueleniveaudel'huilenesoitpasauminimum:dévisserlebouchon(fig.1n.11),nettoyerlajaugede
niveauavecunchiffonetrevisserlebouchon.Dévisserànouveauets'assurerqueleniveausoitcomprisentre
lesdeuxencochesdeminimumetdemaximum.Sileniveauesten‐dessousduseuilminimum,ajouterdel'huile
jusqu'àatteindrelebonniveau.(demanderl'huilelamieuxadaptéeàvotrerevendeur).

•S'assurerquetouteslesvissoientbienserrées.

Avantdecommencerletravail,ilfautplacerlecâbledanssondérouleur,réglerlaprofondeurd'enfouissement,attacher

rayond'aumoins15mètres,puisdémarrerlemoteuretunefoisqu'ilestchaud,ilestalorspossibledecommencerle
travail.Actionneraumaximumlelevierd'activationdelarotationdelafraise(fig.1n.9),tireraumaximumlelevier
d’avancement(fig.1n.1),etcommencerletravailenrestanttoujourstrèsprudent.Lireattentivementladescriptiondes
opérationsindiquéesci‐dessous.Durantlespériodesestivalesoutoutefoisenprésencedeterrainsec,ilestconseillé
d'arroserabondammentl'herbelejourquiprécèdeletravail.

EMPLACEMENTDUCÂBLESURLEDÉROULEUR
Pourunemeilleureutilisationdelamachine,considérantlavariétédestypesdecâblesetdestypesdebobinesprésents
surlemarché,ilestconseilléd'enroulerlecâbleautourdudérouleur(fig.1n.10)enutilisantlamanivelleprésentesurle
dérouleur.Ilestimportantd'enroulerlecâbledanslesenshorairepourgarantirunparfaitdéroulementdurantletravail
(fig.2).Sil'onveutaucontraireutiliserlesbobinesdecâbledéjàenroulées,onpeutdémonterlaplaquegauchedu
dérouleurendévissantlestroispommeaux(fig.3)etentournantlégèrementlaplaque,placerlabobineautourdutube
dudérouleurenutilisantéventuellementdesadaptateurs,puisremonterlaplaqueetserrerlestroispommeauxàfond.
Unefoisquelecâbleestplacésurledérouleur,ilfautenfilerl'extrémitédecelui‐ciàl'intérieurdutubedel'ailette(fig.4)
jusqu''àlefaireressortirdequelquescentimètresdelapartieinférieure.

diminuantlestoursdumoteur.NeJAMAISréglerlavitesseenfaisantlégèrementglisserlesdisquesd'embrayagedela
boîtedetransmission.Cetteopérationendommagegravementlapartiemécaniquedelatransmission.Lelevier
d’avancement(fig.1n.9)doitêtreTOUJOURStiréaumaximum,c'estàdirejusqu'àcequ'iltouchelemancheron.
RÉGLAGEDELAHAUTEURDUMANCHERON
Lamachinepermetderéglerlemancheronsurcinqhauteurs.Pourlerégleràune
hauteurprécise,desserrerdanslesensantihorairelapoignéepostérieuredumancheron
(fig.9n.2)jusqu'àextrairelepommeau(fig.9n.1),sélectionnerlahauteursouhaitéepuis
renfilerlepommeaudanslenouvelorifice,revisserdanslesenshoraireetserrerla
poignéeàfond.
RÉGLAGERAPIDEDEL'INCLINAISONDUMANCHERON
Quandons'apprêteàtravaillersousleshaies,branchesensaillie,outoutautreobstaclelatéral,il
estpossibled'inclinerlemancheronducôtéopposéàl'obstacle.(fig.10).Pourréglerl'inclinaison,
tireraumaximumlelevierplacésurlapartieinférieuregauchedumancheron(fig.1n.7)et
positionnerlegoujoncorrespondantdansundesneuftroussituéssurlacrémaillèreprésenteàla
basedumancheron.Lamachinepermetdoncquatreniveauxd'inclinaisonàdroiteetquatreà
gauche.
BLOCAGEDEL'AILETTEORIENTABLE
Quandons'apprêteàenfouirlecâblesurdelonguesdistancesrectilignes,ilestpossiblede
bloquerl'ailetteorientable(fig.11)pourgarantiruneconduiteplusprécisedelamachine.Pour
bloquerl'ailette,ilestsuffisantdeserrerlapoignéesituéesurlapartielatéraledroitede
l'appareildesupport(fig.11n.1).
RÉGLAGEDELALARGEURDESROUES
Lesdeuxrouessontdotéesdedemi‐arbresréglablesdans4positions.Cesystèmeoffrela
possibilitéd'avoirunedistancedelafraiseparrapportaubord,variableentre25,27,29
ou31cm.(fig.12).Celapermetd'avoirunenfouissementducâbleéquidistantde
n'importequelbord,muretouhaie.Pourréglercettedistance,ilsuffitd'extrairele
goujondeblocage(fig.12n.2)etdeleplacerdansundes4orificesprésentssurledemi‐
arbre(fig.12n.1)puisréinsérerleressortdesécurité.
DÉBUTDUTRAVAIL
Unefoisquelecâbleestplacéetquelafraiseestmontée,ilfautdirigerlecâblesurleterrain.Pourcetteopération,ilest
suffisantd'enfoncerunepointeouunpiquetdansleterrainetd'yrelierlemorceaudecâblequiressortdelapartie
inférieuredel'ailette.Cetteopérationsertàgarantirl'enfouissementducâbledansl'entaillequelafraisevacréerdansle
terraindurantlespremiersmètresdetravail.
FINDETRAVAIL
Unefoisqueletravailestterminé,pourarrêterlemoteur,ilsuffitdemettrelamanettedel'accélérateur(fig.1n.3)surla
positionSTOP(oubiensilemoteurenestpourvu,utiliserl'interrupteurdestoptoujoursaprèsavoiramenélerégimede
toursauminimum),etfermerlerobinetd'essence,s'ilestprésent.Unefoisquel'onacomplètementterminéletravail,il
estindispensabledenettoyeretdegraisserlatêtedelafraise(voirparagraphesuivant).
