damages or fires caused by not complying wit t e instructions
in t is manual, is declined.
T e cooker ood as an upper air duct B1 and an optional rear
air duct B2*, for external fumes exit.
Select t e suitable air duct and apply t e flange C supplied,
ensure to close t e unused ole duct wit tap D* supplied if
provided.
Caution! In some models t e rear ole duct is not easily
accessible, even w en t e tap (if mounted) is removed, in t is
case remove t e plastic piece E1 or E2 t at is blocking t e ole
duct, by unwinding using pliers and cutter. C eck t at t e filter/
suction selector (inside t e cooker ood) G is in t e suction
(A) position. In t e case w ere it is not possible to disc arge
t e cooking fumes externally, t e cooker ood may be used in
t e filter version by fixing a carbon filter, t e fumes and vapours
are recycled via t e anterior grill placed above t e control panel.
C eck t at t e suction/filter selector is in t e filter (F)
position.
T e models provided wit out suction motor may function only
in t e suction version and must be connected to a perip eral
suction unit (not supplied).
Installation - Do not tile, grout or silicone t is appliance to t e wall.
Surface mounting only. Do not fix c imney flue to furniture or fly
over s elves unless t e c imney flue can be easily removed,
in case maintenance is ever required.T e cooker ood must be
placed at a minimum distance of 60 cm from t e cooking plane
for electric cookers and 75cm for gas or mixed cookers.
If t e instructions for installation for t e gas ob specify a greater
distance, t is as to be taken into account.
T e cooker ood may be installed on t e wall or on t e base
of a cabinet; if supplied, use t e ole gauge H to drill t e correct
distance, ot erwise lean t e cooker ood on t e wall or on t e
base of t e cabinet and mark t e oles wit a pencil.
Wall mounting - Insert t e wall screw anc ors J in t e drilled oles
and t e two K screws in t e upper drill oles, remove t e grill
and ook t e cooker ood to t e 2 screws, finally from t e inside,
insert t e t ird screw L and lock t em all in.
Cabinet fixing - Affix t e cooker ood wit t e 4 M screws from
inside t e cabinet.
Electrical connection - T e electrical tension must correspond
to t e tension noted on t e label placed inside t e cooker ood.
Connect t e electrical plug, w ere provided, to t e an easily
accessible outlet in conformity wit local standards in force.
W ere an electrical plug is not provided (for direct connection
to electrical network) place a standards approved bipolar switc
wit an aperture distance of not less t an 3mm (accessible) from
t e contacts.
Operation - T e control panel is situated on t e front of t e cooker
ood and is equipped wit various suction speeds. Use t e
ig est speed for situations of ig level vapour concentration
in cooking. Always open t e vapour collector N*. It is
advisable to switc on t e suction at least 5 minutes prior to
cooking and leave it in operation for 15 minutes approximately
after cooking is terminated.
Maintenance - Prior to any maintenance operation ensure t at
t e cooker ood is disconnected from t e electrical outlet.
Cleaning - T e cooker ood s ould be cleaned regularly
internally and externally. For cleaning use a clot moistened
wit denatured alco ol or neutral liquid detergents. Avoid
abrasive detergents.
Failure to carry out t e basic standards of t e cleaning of t e
cooker ood and replacement of t e filters may cause fire risks.
Grease Filter may be one of the following types:
Paper filter must be replaced once a mont or if coloured on
t e top side, w en t e coloration is evident via t e oles in t e
grill.
Sponge filter s ould be was ed once a mont and replaced
every 5/6 was es.
Metallic filter must be cleaned once a mont wit suitable
detergents eit er by and or in dis was er (65°C).
W en was ed in a dis was er, t e grease filter may discolour
slig tly, but t is does not affect its filtering capacity.
In order to remove t e grease filter open the grill via t e P ooks
and free t e R1 or R2 stoppers.
The self-supporting metal filter does not include a support
grill, in order to remove t e filter pull t e release springs P4
backwards and slide t e filter downwards.
Attention! t e metal filter may discolour if was ed in dis was er
but t e filtering performance is unaltered.
Carbon Filter - it may be one of t e following types:
Rectangular S1 or S2 or S3: to be replaced every 6 mont s
Mounting (S1 or S2) : insert t e rear side T and ook furt er
to t e front (U).
Mounting (S3): Remove t e cover W by rotating t e O knobs
to 90° , t en close t e cover. Proceed in t e inverse for
dismounting.
Circular (V1-V2-V3-various models): to be replaced every
4 mont s.
Bayonet mount position t e filter in t e middle of t e motor
protection grill covering ensuring t at t e reference to X1 or X2
or X3 on t e carbon filter matc t e Y1 or Y2 references on t e
conveyor, t en turn clockwise; in case of dismounting turn
anticlockwise, if provided wit a Z tape remember to gently lift
first.
Replacing lightbulbs 0W - Unscrew t e damaged lig t bulb and
replace wit an incandescent oval lig t bulb wit a maximum
of 40W E14. Remove t e grill in order to reac t e lig t bulb area.
Replacing the hologen bulbs - Access t e lig t compartment
extract t e lamp cover by levering it off wit a small screwdriver
or similar tool.
Warning! Prior to touc ing t e lig t bulbs ensure t ey are cooled
down. Replace t e damaged lig t bulb. Only use alogen bulbs
of 20W max (G4), making sure you do not touc t em wit your
ands. Close t e lamp cover (it will snap s ut).
Caution - T is appliance is designed to be operated by adults.
C ildren s ould not be allowed to tamper wit t e controls or play
wit t e appliance.
Do not use t e cooker ood w ere t e grill is not correctly fixed!
T e suctioned air must not be conveyed in t e same c annel
used for fumes disc arged by appliances powered by ot er t an
electricity. T e environment must always be adequately
aerated w en t e cooker ood and ot er appliances powered
by ot er t an electricity are used at t e same time. Flambé
cooking wit a cooker ood is pro ibited. T e use of a free flame
is damaging to t e filters and may cause fire accidents, t erefore
free flame cooking must be avoided. Frying of foods must be
kept under close control in order to avoid over eated oil catc ing
fire. Carry out fumes disc arging in accordance wit t e
regulations in force by local laws for safety and tec nical
restrictions.
