Finally, a switch-adapted CD player! Now a portable CD player can be easily
operated by your switch! We have modified the portable CD player for switch
use. Push the switch and the CD plays; push it again and it stops. (Not
available for momentary switch operations). Size: 6" x 5" x 1". Requires
Capability Switch and 2 AA Batteries.
Operation:
1. The CD Walkman requires 2 “AA” batteries (Not included) to operate.
Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use
rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply
lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and
new batteries together or different brands or types together. Open the CD
compartment by sliding the “OPEN” button located on the front portion of
the unit. (Please Note: when sliding cover, do so gently. If done
forcefully cover will be damaged) Once “OPEN” locate the battery
compartment. Push tab in on battery cover and lift cover off. Install 2 AA
batteries making sure to follow proper (+) & (-) battery polarity. Replace
cover.
2. Insert your CD, label side up, over the center hub of the disc and gently
press the center of the CD until it snaps down. Gently close the
compartment door.
3. Plug your Headphones into the jack marked “PHONES”. Adjust the
VOLUME to an audible level.
4. There is one adapted switch outlet cord located on the right side of the
unit. Insert a capability switch into the outlet. (Female outlet accepts only
1/8"plug)
5. When the Capability Switch you have chosen is activated the CD player
will turn ON. It will then display the number of tracks that your CD has on
it, then the CD will start to play the first track. Press the switch again to
pause the track.
6. Please refer the manufactures instructions for information on the CD
Walkman’s Additional functions and features.
Important Notes:
Remove the batteries when you do not plan to use the unit for a month
or more.
Due to switch adaptation the use of an AC power cord has been disabled
for safety reasons. This unit will only work with batteries.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: The CD does not function.
Action:
Check batteries for polarity placement and be sure to use fresh batteries.
Keep mobile phones and other electrical appliances far away from the
unit. Such appliances may cause noise interference or play may stop
entirely.
Be sure the VOLUME control button is adjusted to an audible listening
level.
Note:
•Keep the lens on the CD player clean and do not touch it. If you do so, the
lens may be damaged and the CD player will not operate properly.
•Do not get wet. Follow manufacturer’s recommendations for cleaning.
