Commercial Limited Warranty For The VentCoreTM System

R
Evo®VentCoreTM
6
The team at Evo America and Nieco have collaborated to
develop the world’s first recirculating ventilation system for an
electric chain broiler.
Conceived and designed from the ground up, the Evo
VentCoreTM is a new generation of recirculating ventilation
equipment that incorporates an advanced filtration system that
obliterates grease and odors for a cleaner and fresher kitchen
environment.
The VentCoreTM is integrally attached to a Nieco MV74E electric
chain broiler with a dedicated ventilation hood that includes
a pre-engineered Ansul fire suppression system. This allows the
broiler to operate in an occupied space without a traditional
Type-1 ventilation hood or secondary fire suppression unit.
The system operates on 208V 3-Phase electrical power that runs
both the ventilation system and the Nieco broiler. Once the
VentCoreTM is powered-on and all ventilation components are
verified, the Nieco broiler is then automatically energized and
available for use.
The VentCoreTM ventilation system is made from fully welded
stainless steel and utilizes all washable filters that include the
primary grease baffle filters, secondary washable particulate
filters, and washable electrostatic precipitator filter cells. For
convenience, all duct and filter cleaning is conveniently located
behind easy to access maintenance doors.
The VentCoreTM is designed to be easily wheeled and setup at
foodservice locations like stadiums and arenas, pop-up kitchens
or corporate cafes. If the location or layout changes, the
equipment can easily be moved to a new location, giving you
the power to choose and maximizing your investment.

CONTROL PANEL
VENTILATION STARTUP - INTERLOCKS ARE PROVEN
The Ventilation Startup screen will check each safety interlock
switch until all switches are proven and functioning correct.
When all switch buttons are green, the Nieco broiler will receive a
command to allow its heaters to function.
Note:
The Nieco broiler has a red Master Switch that toggles On and Off
illumination for its display panel.
If the VentCore is operational and all safety interlocks have proven
and the Nieco Master Switch is On, the display panel will allow user
input to turn on and energize the broiler heaters.
If the VentCore is not operational or if there is an interlock fault
and the Nieco Master Switch is on, the display panel will become
illuminated and will allow user input, however, the heaters will not
energize and will not turn on.
The Nieco display panel may be illuminated and allow user inputs,
however, if the VentCore safety interlocks are not proven and all
corresponding interlock buttons displayed green, the Nieco broiler
heaters will be off and will not be operational.
Interlock switches are automatically

INTERLOCK FAULTED - VENTILATION DUCT COLD
If a safety interlock switch is faulted during ventilation startup,
the interlock button will turn red and ventilation startup will be
suspended. If more than one safety interlock is faulted, then each
button will be displayed red.
Note:
If the VENTILATION STARTUP banner is a gray, this means the internal
duct temperature is less than 130F and the Nieco broiler has not
been heated or is cool enough to turn off without releasing cooking
vapor into the VentCore capture hood. In this condition, when the
ventilation duct is less than 130F, the VentCore fan will immediately
shut off
If the VENTILATION STARTUP banner is a red, this means the internal
duct temperature is greater than 130F and the Nieco broiler has
been heated and is hot enough to cause cooking vapor to be
released into the capture hood. In this condition, the VentCore fan
will continue running until the duct temperature is below 130F, after
which time the fan will automatically turn off.

Warning indicator the fire suppression
system has been discharged, or is not
yet configured which occurs during
the initial Fire Commissioning.
ANSUL FIRE SYSTEM TRIGGER
If the Ansul Fire Suppression system trigger warning screen is
displayed, the VentCore will shut down and become inoperable
until the Ansul system is serviced and the fire system trigger reset.
This warning will also be displayed if the VentCore with Nieco
brolier is newly installed and the fire suppression system is not yet
‘commissioned’. Cmmissioning of the Ansul fire suppression system
is the process of setting up fuse links which sense a fire and also
engaging a micro-switch in the fire control box. If the fire system
has not been setup, the VentCore will show the Ansul system as
triggered.
If the fire suppression system has been discharged, both the
VentCore ventilation system and the Nieco broiler become
inactive until the Ansul fire system is serviced by an authorized
Ansul fire suppression system contractor.
If you see fire suppression chemical that resembles a salt water like
solution in the ventilation duct or on the Nieco broiler, immediately
wash and remove all chemical from the duct system and all
internal and external surfaces.
Before the VentCore system can be restarted, a service technician
will need to replace the factory installed Final Filters 2 and 3.
Additionally, there may be other parts that require replacement.
In the event of a fire system discharge, call Evo Customer Support
at 503-626-1802, and also call your Ansul Authorized fire suppression
system contractor.
