SECTION 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The G1478 st ckp t st ve acc mm dates a single
pan. It c mprises a d uble burner arrangement with a
heat input capacity f 14.65kW (50,000 btu/hr).
The burner is c ntr lled by a single c mbined ON/
OFF gas tap, supp rted by a pil t burner and flame
failure therm c uple.
The unit is manually lit with a taper.
SECTION 2 - LIGHTING and OPERATIONS
Lighting the Burners
1. T light pil t, turn c ntr l kn b t igniti n p siti n.
2. Apply a lit taper t pil t burner whilst pressing
c ntr l in. Having lit pil t, h ld kn b in f r up t
20 sec nds bef re releasing it. This will enable
flame failure therm c uple t engage.
3. T light main burner, turn kn b t full flame setting.
4. T reduce heat, kn b may be turned further anti-
cl ckwise. Minimum setting is l w flame p siti n.

SECTION 3 - COOKING HINTS
Boi ing
The appliance has been CE-marked t acc mm date
pan sizes up t 680mm diameter.
Av id verfilling pans as this practise may result in
them b iling ver. When b iling is achieved,
simmering can be maintained by turning gas d wn
t l w flame p siti n.
The fastest heat-up time is achieved at full flame
setting. The m st efficient use f energy is achieved
at appr ximately the half way p siti n between the
high and l w flame settings.
Exact p siti ns vary acc rding t pan size.
SECTION 4 - CLEANING and MAINTENANCE
It is advisable t wipe the unit d wn after use,
preferably while it is still warm. The pan supp rt and
burners may be cleaned with a s ft brush.
After cleaning, rinse with clean water and dry.
Important Note
D n t use pr prietary cleaners n the surfaces f the
appliance. Especially th se which have a high caustic
c ntent.
This is particularly imp rtant when the unit is h t.
Such cleaners can cause seri us damage r
disc l urati n, theref re nly a s ap r detergent
s luti n sh uld be used.
