INSTRUCTIONS : SPA III/ SPA-IV
BOTTOM SKIMMER VALVE OPERATION
This valve is found at the bottom of the skimmer, below the basket (see picture of the
skimmer).
Normal filtration position: When the red lever is horizontal (laid down) and the
swivelling cover is opened, the pump will suction 50% from the skimmer and 50%
from the bottom drain. This is the normal filtration position: the suction is done by the
skimmer and bottom drain.
Vacuum position: When the red lever is vertical (up) and the swivelling cover is
open, the pump will only suction from the skimmer. This is the vacuum position; the suction is only
done by the skimmer.
Pool drain position: When the red lever is horizontal (laid down) and the swivelling cover is shut,
the pump will only suction from the bottom drain. This is the pool drain position
HOW TO USE THE VACUUM CLEANER?
Connect the telescopic pole to the vacuum. Take the vacuum hose and check both ends of the
hose: one end swivels and the other is fixed. Place the swivelling end of the vacuum hose to
the head of the vacuum and lower it to the bottom of the Spa.
Fill the vacuum hose with water to eliminate the air pockets inside the hose.
(Tip: place the hose in front of a return jet to properly fill it with water).
Remove the basket from the skimmer and place the valve's red lever at the bottom of the skimmer in the vertical position. The
bottom drain will then close and there will only be a single suction concentrated in the skimmer. Re-install the basket in the
skimmer.
Connect the fixed end of the vacuum hose to the Skim-Vac. Place the Skim-Vac above the basket. This way, the debris that
could possibly block your lines will remain in the skimmer's basket. The rest of the debris that will be sucked up will be directly
sent to your filter.
Vacuum the water slowly to avoid creating too much stir and ensure an effective cleaning.
If the suction drops, look for any kind of dirt in the basket of the skimmer, the basket of the
pump and clean your cartridge.

SPRING FIRST CLEAN UP OR FIRST CLEAN UP FOLLOWING THE SPA
INSTALLATION.
ALWAYS VERIFY THE WATER LEVEL IN YOUR DRAINING WELL BEFORE LOWERING
THE WATER LEVEL OF YOUR SPA.
During these periods, excess of dirt is accumulated in your Spa. A special cleaning procedure is
then needed.
To avoid filling your cartridge, we recommend that you carry debris directly into your waste pipe,
then to the street.
To do so, adapt the drain hose to the filtration system and extend it to the street to prevent water and dirt from coming back.
(See Photo Above)
Get your vacuuming equipment ready: your hose, the vacuum head, your Skim-Plate and the telescopic
pole. (See: How to use the vacuum cleaner?)
Turn the valve handle on the pump towards the drain position. To do so, slightly loose
the nut on the lever’s valve (See Left Photo) Then, place the lever’s valve to a horizontal
position pointing towards the cartridge system, this is the draining position. (See Right
Photo).
Let flow the garden hose into the skimmer otherwise the water level of your Spa will drop too fast. This step is
to prevent unprimimg the pump when the water reaches the base of the skimmer
Vacuum your Spa; remove as much dirt as possible. When you are finish: empty your baskets (the one in the skimmer and the
one in your pump). If your Spa contains a lot of debris, make sure to clean your baskets when vacuuming: after a few minutes
of cleaning, stop the pump, clean your baskets, replace your baskets and restart the pump then start vacuuming again.
Finally, once you are done, make sure to replace the lever’s valve on your pump to its original position.
MAINTENANCE OF THE CARTRIDGE
It is highly recommended to clean the cartridge of your filter once a week.
Simply rinse the cartridge using a garden hose.
A poorly cleaned cartridge will cause a low pressure in the heather affecting the system operation and
may damage the cartridge itself.
When changing spa water, approximately every ten to twelve weeks (depending on use), it is important to soak the cartridge
in a solution recommended for this purpose (three parts of water- one part of bleach). Then rinse your cartridge.
To increase durability and longevity of your cartridge, we recommend you let your filter dry before reinstalling

DIGITAL CONTROL KEYBOARD: (for more information consult your IN.XE TechBook)
To start the pump: Press key to start the pump at a low speed, press a second time to turn pump to high speed
and press a third time to turn of the pump.
Your system runs on 20 minutes cycles. Depending on his initial status, your pump will go from
high speed to low speed or from low speed to Off after 20 minutes.
However, as long as the spa has not reached the required temperature, the engine will remain in
office. After 20 minutes the pump will switch from high speed to low speed, but again the pump
will remain in office until the desired temperature has been reached.
Water temperature: Use UP or DOWN key to set desired water temperature
The temperature setting will be displayed for 5 seconds to confirm your new selection. The «Set
Point» icon indicates that the display shows the desired temperature, not the current water
temperature.
To turn On the light: Press LIGHT key to turn light On. Press light key a second timer to turn light Off. A built-in
timer automatically will turns light off after 2 hours.
Automatic heather start-up: When the water temperature is 1 degree below the desired temperature the heater is
automatically activated until the water temperature exceeds from 1 degree the temperature set.
Programming the system: To program cycle duration press and hold LIGHT key until the display shows dxx with xx
representing the duration in hours (Default: 2 hours) Use UP or DOWN key to change the
duration. (Example: 0 = no filtration 24 = continuous filtration).
To program cycle frequency, press LIGHT key again. The display will show Fx, with «X»
representing the number of filter cycles per day (up to 4 / Default: 2). Use Up or Down key to
change setting. When the desired setting is displayed, press LIGHT key to confirm. A filter cycle
will start immediately. The «Filter» indicator lights up when a filter cycle is On.
If you are planning on using your spa 4 seasons, know that the filtration cycle must be in
continuous mode (24 hours) during fall (when temperatures begin to drop) and of course all
winter long.
